I am so disappointed regarding our experience at the Tampa FL location. . My family was vacationing from MN and our tour was cancelled due to some sort of building flooding at our meeting spot. They offered to let us hop on another tour and take a rain check. Unfortunately, we were flying out the next morning and requested a refund. It has now been three months and I still have no refund ($200). I have been trying to contact Christine (the owner) for months, text, call, email with no response. I will now be putting in a dispute with my card provider for a refund. I hope everything is going alright over there, and that they turn things around! read more

Fun. Not many stops, but the tour guide filled the time. My kids (11 and 9) enjoyed themselves.

Guide/owner was 40 minutes late because she texted that she was doing tarot card readings at a nearby bar. Finally we texted and asked for a refund at the 40 minute mark and passed by her as we were walking away. She had a drink in her hand and was obviously drunk. She called and argued that she 'invited us to the bar' and therefore she was being considerate. While, mind you, she was drunk. She refused a refund, we will be disputing the charge with our card company for services not rendered. read more

We had an enjoyable night out in historic Ybor for our tour. My son and I did the "ghost adventure" tour and it was a small group of us on a Friday night. Our guide, Chrissy was great! She really tried to engage all of us and get our sense of adventure going. My son clung onto her every word lol. I am a skeptic so I wasn't really believing what our ghost hunting equipment indicated, but it was still a fun (and spooky!) time. We met up in the lounge area of the Muvico where we got to learn a bit of history about the theater first. I love the historical aspects of these kind of tours the most! The ghost stories we were told along the way kept my attention. Our tour that night included about 5 stops and we got to go inside two places. We went into Carne Chophouse where we learned the story of the safe outside the restaurant and that the staff there have seen some really weird things! Also learned that the bar and ceiling of the restaurant are original from when the place was first built. Okay, that's not creepy, but it was interesting as the restaurant is so beautiful. We stopped in front of the Don Vicenti Inn and heard the story of Dr. Avellanal's schizophrenic son who did lots of crazy horrible things- this story was my favorite! We were also allowed into the Scientology building where we went into a dark hallway and got to use our ghost hunting equipment. Good fun! And the group we were with were all very nice and welcoming. Our tour lasted about two hours and my son loved it. He didn't even complain about all of the walking and really got into our little adventure. :) read more

Wow!!! This place is a complete joke. I tried to book tickets as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. Their website is terrible to navigate and doesn't have a single date listed for buying tickets. When I messaged the business they literally couldn't give me a single date and were absolutely rude for no reason at all. Totally unacceptable. They let these people around kids?? Ugh. I have screenshots of our entire conversation include them threatening to spam my phone number in retaliation of my honest review. read more

went with AJ, she was extremely nice & had a good sense of humor, I have no complaints towards her at all. Though the ghost tour was nothing special, we used gear you can find on amazon, and basically walked around the block while she showed us pictures from google, mind you we got the VIP which was $40 each, definitely wasn't worth it, could've done it myself with a group of friends. read more

POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES.THEY TOOK OUR MONEY AND REFUSE TO GIVE A REFUND! On February 11th, I made a reservation for 4 people for the "Ghost Hunting Tour" with electronic devices. Total was $140. We were interested in the "Haunted Dining" at the Carne Chop House Restaurant. The person making the reservation, told us that 6:30 would be plenty of time have dinner and meet at 8pm at the back door of the restaurant in front of the "Haunted Safe" where the tour begins. When we entered the restaurant, we informed the host that we were part of the Ghost Tour at 8pm. He Sat us at a table that was closest to the glass doors at the back of the restaurant. We could see the "haunted safe" from our table. We had our dinner, finishing at 7:50pm giving us plenty of time to walk the approximate 20 feet to the meeting spot. We then walked to the back door, stood in front of the "Safe" and waited for the tour guide to show up. After 8pm, we began to get concerned. We asked the Manager of the Carne Chop House, if he knew of a way to contact them and he did. He sent a message at 8:05 saying we were waiting for our tour guide. We had been waiting for approx. 15 minutes, thinking the guide might be running late. The manager told us that he had sent her a text, but she did not reply to him immediately. At 8:26 we called and a female answered saying that she was out of town and the she had no way of contacting the "New Tour Guide" because they turn their cell phones off to avoid disturbing the tour. She said she would continue to try and contact the tour guide and call us back. At 8:37 we received a phone call stating that tour had met in front of the Comedy club around the corner and never went into the agreed upon meeting spot in front of the 'Haunted Safe' She also had the nerve to ask if we wanted to join the tour in progress, missing the first 30-45 mins. We said we paid for a full tour and that's what we expected. We requested a refund since we complied with all of the requirements for the tour. The Ghost tour company refuses to acknowledge fault, even though we were at the agreed location BEFORE the tour was to leave. read more

Save your money. It was a basic around the block tour and see pictures from google which you can do for free. Only thing other than that was that we got to go inside a room under a restaurant but definitely not worth $40. The woman (AJ) was very nice and had a lot of things to say about the place, she really knew her stuff and she was really funny. Expanding your tours to more places that we have access to other than looking through windows will make the experience way better. Props to AJ for being an amazing and funny person to hang out with though ! read more

Lauren and Chrissy were awesome tour guides they gave lots of info on the history of the buildings and what took place it was cool to hear what all happened during that time and learn about it. My 14 year old son and I had such an awesome experience we got to use night vision googles and devices to see the different temperatures and we heard various noises and sounds and seen orbs definitely worth the money and time!! We sat in a circle and got to ask different questions and were getting alot of different responses it was so interesting! Will definitely be back read more

This is literally such a scam, I promise anyone reading this, you will waste $30-$60 per person. The tour guide was so sweet and nice, but we used some apps to 'see ghosts.' I'm sorry but if you're looking for an actual ghost tour this is LITERALLY not it. Awful!!! She (guide) was dressed in yoga pants and looked like she was going to the gym. She had her kids and husband in tow and they were half the group. Her kid kept saying he saw something to help mom. At least dress professionally and leave the fam at home. I've been on several and this was horrible. This was probably the most exciting haunted tour I've ever been on! I've been to many haunted tours. Tombstone, Arizona... Paducah, Kentucky... etc. However, I've never been on one as interactive as this one! You are actually the ghost hunter! Chrissy is super knowledgeable on all the tragic history of the area and took excellent care of us in Ybor. I have to say that my perception of ghosts and spirits alike defiantly changed a bit. I recently went on the Tampa Ghost Tour after having gone on several ghost tours in Key West and this one was awesome! Our host was Chrissy who was charming and a great story teller! I've lived in Tampa since the 80s and learned things about it's ghosts and serial killers that I never new! In addition to great ghost hunting equipment including night vision goggles we had an app called Ghost Radar which could pick up words from spirits. The woman I went with recently lost her husband who's name was Richard and as we entered the Cuban Club on her app she picked up the name "Rich," which is what she called her husband. Creepy! The Cuban Club was the best part, beautiful old architecture and very scary. We had access to the entire building from upstairs, the theater and the basement where a child died in a swimming pool. I saw orbs in the balcony of the theater. It was a great paranormal experience and I can't wait to go again!!! read more

The tour itself was good but the tour guide was really uninformed and at times we thought she was making up the answers to our questions. Also we went into the Cuba club but weren't able to tour all of it. Before doing this tour which we got on a groupon, we did the Official Ybor Ghost Tour which was amazing. I think if you have never been on a ghost tour this would be fun for you but if you have been on one before you will be disappointed. read more
