I'm not quite sure why, as the Palms is not the celebrity magnet it once was in years past, but Ghostbar is actually becoming more strict on the rules and making it less attractive for us normal people to visit. Wife and I are out to have dinner at N9NE at least annually, and prior to summer '17, we'd always have a fantastic meal at N9NE then head upstairs to Ghost for some booze, photos and incredible views of the strip at night. Fast forward to '17, there on a Friday night, 10pm hits and we're wrapping up at N9NE. Dinner at N9NE usually (perhaps always) includes free access to Ghost. Ghost opens at 10pm that night, so we're thinking perfect, we leave the restaurant and there's not even a line to get in, where in the past there'd have been 50+ people waiting in general at that point. We walk over to go through security and up the elevator and get stopped short. Can't take our to-go bag from N9NE in there with us, nor am I permitted to bring my camera in, when we'd done this every year prior for the past seven years. Umm okay, we just spent $400 on dinner at this property but the tiny little Big Mac-sized to-go box with some left over lobster is going to create an unnecessary disturbance in the club?! As far as the camera goes, apparently that stems from some 'celebs' not liking their photos being taken, but you can take a good low light photo with a cell phone these days, and those are still allowed. I guess it is what it is; hopefully they did the math and found that barring standalone cameras makes them more money than it costs them. We'd have spent a few hundred, but instead had to leave since we weren't staying at Palms and I didn't want to check my pricey camera at the bell desk since they take no liability for damage. To his credit, the door man was very nice in explaining the new policies, and he even took some pics of my wife and I for me with our sad faces before we grabbed a cab back to the strip. I have been here several times when it was Ghost bar it was already a fun place but the upgrades are very nice, they made better use of the space. I came on a friday night and the door security was very friendly and helpful, we came on a night where most of the place was reserved for a bug party and we were not on a list. The security added us on and even gave us free drink tickets. We had a really good time, the view is just beautiful at night. The bartenders are very sweet , friendly and give quick service. This is one of the places in vegas where the drink prices are reasonable. If you want the roof top type of party without the hassle of huge lines and lists this is a fun place to come to. read more

I stumbled upon this place just a couple of weekends ago and what a pleasant surprise... there was a live band, a powerhouse singer, beautifully talented dancers and a helluva good time was had by all! I couldn't believe that the place wasn't totally packed and that we didn't have to pay a cover charge! It's all hype, I personally think it is overrated and yes this is my opinion. That lack luster of "poppin bottles", the rooftop lost its momentum with us the minute we walked in. Ok well let me retract a little here, that view of Vegas is on point and our server tried her best to keep us accommodated in the VIP area. Perfect summer night in Las Vegas and night out dancing at Ghostbar. Hip crowd mostly mid 20s to mid 40s. As long as you don't have a height fear it's a great place for an aerial view of The Strip at night. There's a dance floor - small and two bars - one inside and another outside. You definitely need advance reservations for seating inside and outside. The DJ was decent but could be better on a Saturday night. They are definitely strict with dress code - no athletic wear. Smoking is allowed outside. Parking at the Palms is not too bad. Check it out when you are in Las Vegas. Locals sometimes get a break on the door fee specially if it's just girls. read more

After celebrating my Aunt's birthday at Nove, my family and I decided to keep the celebration going at Ghostbar. It's located on the 55th floor at the Palms. Getting there reminded me of going through TSA at the airport. There were security guards at the entry point, asking me to empty all my pockets and had waived their metal detectors around my body. I fully understand why they do it and I am not against it in any way. It's their job to prevent crimes and illegal activity from occurring at the establishment and I respect that 100%. We were on a list so our admission was free but for those who aren't on the list have to pay a cover to get in. I believe it's $20 for males and $10 for females. What is so cool and unique about this place is the outdoor patio. It's situated on the 55th floor, so you get a 180 degree view of beautiful Vegas. And it has a glass floor that you can walk across and look down on (if you dare to?!) The indoor lounge area was very dark and filled with multiple black leather couches and lit candles. The outdoor patio had very little heat lamps. I wore warm clothing because it was a little chilly that night (so prepare to dress warm on cold nights.) Drinks at the bar were $12-$15 but the beers are slightly lower (depending on consuming imported or domestic beers.) My 1 star deduction is for when I had gone back out to bring up other family and friends and security had made me chug my drink before getting back inside the elevator to get back up. I mean I bought the drink at their bar, and I literally had just stepped out of the elevator and hopped right back in...it made no sense. The music was good. They mostly played rap and hip hop. The crowd was very friendly, mostly the age of 25 and over. Overall, It's a stunningly beautiful place to party. I am definitely coming back here again! read more

Oh Ghostbar... Such an oldie and great place to go when you don't wanna stay in but you still want to be able to eat brunch the next day! I remember coming here with my fake ID yearsssssss ago and having some lady grab my tummy and yell "Well SHE'S never had kids!!!" I felt like it was a witches curse put on my womb. Phew, what a flashback! Basically a fun spot to chill with friends and dance while also taking in some views of the strip. No need to get super dressed up or worry. This is no longer a hot spot and hasn't been in eons. Which is Vegas speak means that it is probably going to be a super fun, less pretentious time. So if you end up here keep your chin up and get ready to do some of the best people watching there is while at the same time getting some air! For over ten years, I've been wanting to visit this bar. From what I heard, it sounded like the best bar/lounge ever. Well, I finally was able to get up here on Monday, made it a lot easier since I was staying at the Palms. Going through security is like going through the TSA at the airport sans the conveyor belt and removal of shoes. I think the worst part of this was my ecig was taken away and I was forced to check it in. According to security, he stated that "they wouldn't let me have that up there." Interestingly enough, the gentleman that went through security had a lit cigar while he went through security. So it's ok to have a lit cigar and ride the elevator up to the top, but I can't have my ecig in my pocket? Once we got upstairs, it was still pretty dead. We were able to grab a couple of drinks at the bar (which were priced cheap since it was happy hour). We went outside to see the glass floor that I had heard about for so long it wasn't quite what I expected. It's a small very scratched piece of glass that could use some maintenance so you can actually see through it. The view is nice, but then again, the view at the lounge of top of Stratosphere is just as breathtaking. Would I make another trip out of my way here, probably not. read more

Bottle service is key in Vegas. If it's your first time going to Sin City, don't think that your player duds or feminine wiles are enough to gain you even just an inch of sitting butt room at many of the big clubs. Cause they won't. We made our way here on our second night in Vegas. Our feet were tired and aching from standing in line, just to get in, so we scanned the bumpin' room immediately for a place to sit. No such luck. We tried to bust out our most impressive moves, hoping they'd help score us some room at at table, but all I got was blank stares, and since the sore balls of my feet, were not cooperating, I went outside. On a warm night, Ghost Bar is outstanding. Their outdoor elevated patio will provide a glimpse of the city which is well worth any wait. On this particular night, however, it was windy and cold - so me, Connie, some sucking face couple, and a friendly bouncer were some of the only people daring enough to brave the weather. But I needed a place to take off my boots, and outside was the only place with available chairs. And so I busted out my final most beautiful move at Ghost Bar thus far - the ole' "get these suckers off my feet NOW!" move, let the wind daggers of the night - wrangle my hair into some lovely knots, and then finally went inside to scope out the scene once more. Unlike Tao - there was room to move, but it had been a long night, and eager to rest our feet - we made like ghosts and disappeared. (we eventually found our way to Rain - where shoes were removed and full blown dance moves were unleashed on Vegas. And trust. Those were some happening moves.) read more

This bar - and I say bar because it's not much of a club, more to follow - is often on the free Vegas guest lists because it's a) off strip and b) doesn't get the headliners the major clubs, say the Hakkasan group does. However, I really think everyone should visit this place at least once. I've always been intrigued since my MTV Real World days. What's cool about it is it's on the 55th floor of the Palms, there is an outdoor patio with two warmers, and breathtaking views of the Strip. There is a glass floor where you can look down and for photo ops if you dare. On the night we went, the place was pretty dead. But because it's frequently comped, drink vouchers are easy to come by. And I would take up the free drinks because a Redbull and Vodka will run you $18. There was a house DJ who was spinning Top 40 tunes. A couple of the girls we were talking to said it was popping the night before, with Michael Jackson's dad even showing up. There are bottle service tables, and on a evening such as ours, they still had 'Reserved' signs on the booths. It's really a sad attempt to hype up the place. There are booths that you can actually sit at and there are places to sit outside as well. The crowd is older, think more 40s, though there were people in their 20s but they were very few and in between. I guess I can appreciate this place as more of a lounge, but leave your typical nightclub expectations at the door. LOCALS SPOT: This is a popular locals spot and I can see why. I've been here at least three times and each time the roof outside area has people chillin enjoying the view drinking and just having a good time. You wait in line and take an elevator up to get to the actual club bar. EXPERIENCE: Awesome view, good crowd, indoor area if you prefer to be inside near the music more. Good beats playing. Outside can get chilly so might want to bring a cardigan or cover up. GENERAL: Too bad this place isn't on the strip but it's worth the cab ride over here. The only other roof bar I've been to that comes close is the Mix at Mandalay Bay but that bar was dead nobody was there so just take a cab here to Ghost Bar instead. read more

We got there at 8:30 p.m. and enjoyed the Happy Hour and patio to ourselves! Warm friendly service from the entire staff. Bonus here was no crazy angry idiot "bouncers" in sight. As the night went on it got crowded so the night turned into a cool party vibe atmosphere with all the beautiful people dressed up and having fun. We ordered several drinks: Kir Royal, French Martini, Grasshopper, White Russian, Lemon Drop Martini, Nuts n Berries. Bartender needs a little more practice on mixing up old fashioned cordials but other than that we loved the drinks and service, they took some back for re-makes with no complaints so that was a plus. On this night we enjoyed the cool weather and great music which was perfect for this outdoor patio lounge. Inside was a small dance floor so if you wanted to move and groove there was room to do that. A "mini skywalk" to see hundreds of feet below is also a conversation starter AND a unbelievable view of the entertainment capital of the world. What more do you want? I think I hit the jackpot! On a nice night, the outdoor patio area is packed with everyone trying to get pictures with the view. But on a cold night it's really hard to stay outside and not develop frostbite (kind of exaggerating, but this was during December). Also, it was pretty dead inside when I went on a Tuesday The drinks are not that good. expensive with little alcohol. They have an indoor area with couches and the dj spinning the turntable. The music is pretty fun, usually top 40or throwback. I think if you can get in on the guest list, then check it out! The view is worth the expensive drink! At one point, the Ghostbar was the hottest strip view venue in town. These days with the development of many amazing strip properties, the prestige of this Maloof owned venue has lost a little pep in its step, but still scores very high on the nostalgia chart. The city of sin wasn't always good to me, but Ghostbar has been a mainstay and a good place to sip a cocktail while enjoying a killer view. It's not the only view in town, but easily one of the best. The crowd has become somewhat older over the years and has played second fiddle to other roof top bars throughout the Strip. That hasn't stopped people from packing this spot on the weekends, though I think the weekdays are their crowded nights. Enjoy the intimate, dark decor of the interior, the pricey Vegas drinks, the usual-no-covers entrance fees, the overly pretentious service, and an undisputed awesome view that leaves an impression for any out of towner. On a good clear night with a strong cocktail or wine in hand, seeing the many bright lights of Las Vegas Blvd, leaves me saying "Viva Las Vegas" almost every time. read more

For someone like me who doesn't like nightclubs too much, this bar is a better place to have fun. Went there on both Friday and Sunday night, we didn't pay any cover since we stayed at the palms place. We walked through the sky tube, it was a long walk, a bit of more walking at the palms casino, took an elevator up to 55th floor to get to the bar. It was really crowded on Friday night, lots of army boys, they tried so hard to hit on my gf and me, most of them were so drunk, even offered us to sit at their table, so funny. A small nightclub sized place with a large main bar inside, an outdoor patio and 2 outdoor small bars. The views outside were beautiful, just too cold to stay there long, some heaters weren't working. The bartenders were very friendly, they made strong drinks too. Music was good for dancing, there was nowhere to sit inside on Friday night, only for table reservations, but plenty of places to sit down on Sunday night. We only stayed for an hour on both nights, and left to our suite for after parties fun. I would come here to have a few drinks, hang out with friends if we ever stayed at the palms place again. This is a great place for relaxing low key nights. Ps. It opens 7 days a week, nightclub door opens at 8 p.m., it also doubles as a dayclub, door opens at 1 p.m. They have DJ spinning all the time. read more

I have reviewed Ghostbar before, and what I wrote is still on point with my experiences here. For this review I am focusing on Ghostbar Day Club (GBDC), which is currently happening every Saturday. Besides the obvious differences of going to Ghostbar during the day compared to at night (like being warm and sunny out), GBDC has a much more amped up feeling to it. I went to Ghostbar the night before, and there was twice as many people at GBDC. I was surprised to see that it was packed during the day, and that there was even a long line to get in before it even opened! From the moment I walked in the party was on! There were lots of hosts, go-go dancers, and even someone dressed as a minion. There was all kinds of swag being given out and confetti flying everywhere. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. I had more fun at this day club than any other Vegas night club I had been to. It was just an awesome environment! GBDC is the one place I will be sure to go to the next time I am in Vegas. I have always liked Ghostbar a lot, but GBDC was like Ghostbar on steroids! I can't wait to go back again! read more

The view was amazing and the DJ was pretty good, but Ghostbar is past it's prime and is in need of a little TLC. We got in for free thanks to a promoter--I would not pay to get in after my experience. There were some odd signs and notices posted prior to entering the club which were mildly concerning. The bouncers frisked our male friend before letting us up as well which made me think this place attracts a rough crowd. Our free entrance came with a "complimentary drink". They wouldn't give us the free drink at the main bar and told us to go to the bar outside for our drink. When we found that bar and ordered the bartender was pretty rude in letting us know we didn't have a choice for the free drink- we ended up with the rum punch drink they gave us (actually pretty good) The glass floor made famous on the real world Las Vegas is filthy and looks like it has a crack/ water trapped inside. This is THE club to go to in Vegas. I've never been to the Palms due to its location off the strip but had always wanted to. Saw they had the outdoor rooftop club facing the strip and couldn't wait. Cover wasn't too bad. $20 women, $30 men. The views were the best thing! Girl bartenders were a bit cocky but understandable. The interior has a cool vibe, clean and the human art installations are really cool if you look close. Would definitely recommend and come early so you get the best views by the glass before it gets packed. read more

Terrible management. We were escorted to our table and some promoter approached us and started screaming at us to "get the f*** out." We were shocked. We told him we were literally just escorted to the table. He dragged us away and refused to look up from his phone as he texted away. It was completely uncomfortable and not a way you should treat people EVER. Apparently there was a mixup with the tables, but not once did anyone come over to apologize or kindly inform us of what was going on. Zero plans to ever go back. Nice view though. read more

The Ghost Bar is someplace I've wanted to go for sometime but never seemed to find the time. During a visit recently I finally had a chance thanks to a hook up. The check is quick and not bad at all. You get a stamp on the inside of your wrist, something different. A quick elevator ride to the top and you are there. When you step off you are met by a pretty nice person who talked. Bit with you. When you first walk in you notice the openness of the club. The lighting is pretty awesome. A nice blue hue. There are a numbers if couches and seating areas but most of them are reserved so there really isn't anyplace to sit. The views are very cool! You can see the entire skyline. The outdoor deck is great to be on, best pictures ever! Ok for the bad part - drink prices! A vodka soda is $15. A buddy of mine, thanks to being tipsy, bought a round of shots - 8 of them - $160 for the round! Great views but bring A LOT of money. read more

Before you come here make sure you're on a guest list otherwise you will have a hard time getting in. Once upstairs, you see an okay size dance floor, the bar, and lounge areas, but the highlight is that rooftop- simply gorgeous! Ghostbar is one of the two clubs at The Palms. I came on a Friday night and it was practically dead which was very disappointing. Most of the people that were there were just hanging outside or at the bar, hardly anyone was dancing. The design was okay, a long and small dance floor isn't ideal. The design of the place was tasteful but the use of space was odd. The bathrooms were very nice and had great lighting, just like the club itself, neither space was too dark like most clubs. You can actually see people and tell if someone is attractive or not. Don't laugh. You know that's important. ;) There is free seating outside and there is a plexy glass tile which you can stand on and see right down to the bottom of who knows how many stories. Of course I stood on it and started jumping on it which caused people to worry about my physically well being as well as my mental. It's just neat, you have to check it out if you go there. And then jump on it and watch everyone fear for your life. :) Oh and they mainly played hip hop here, thought that would be helpful for the electronic fans out there. If you like electronic music head to Hakkasan. Tiësto will be playing there until November 2014. read more

If I were more of a bar girl, this would definitely be a top choice for a bar. The reason I like this bar is that it actually bumps music almost as loud as a club, which certainly helps start kick off the festivities. Inside, due to the straight rectangle layout of the bar (that being the entrance of when you first arrive) it gets a bit clusterbuck. A lot of people moving through the bar to get to the... Outside Patio/Lounge area. You've got options =) plus a refreshing view. (Peep the pic.) Now, if I was physically capable of drinking more and enjoyed drinking as much as the masses, I would've been perfectly content to spend the rest of the night here. But I can't so... Drinks were on the high end. 30 for 2 cocktails. All in all we had a great time and it was a wonderful experience especially the rooftop patio where you can gaze at the amazing views of Vegas. LOL OMG, our day club experience escalated quickly we started the day meeting a cool security guy and security girl then we met super cool bartender who gave my friend a bingbong(the elephant from InsideOut) straw along with her unicorn drink then we met a nice lady who works in the bathroom then we meet a purple unicorn (guy in a costume) then people start feeding us mcdonalds cheeseburgers then me and my friends were encouraged to kneel in a kiddy pool for some reason and ended up soaking wet via champagne shower...later those photos were on gbdc's facebook overall: it starts as a mild mannered day club, not crowded at anytime, nice fresh air and a view of the side of the strip, very clean and nice decor. before you know it there will be people going wild and streamers everywhere. this is a great alternative in the winter when beach clubs aren't available, so take advantage of your time and go! read more

I give it 4 stars because there aren't many places that offer this gorgeous view. The crowd is good and the music is good, but the dance floor is very small (the space in general here is quite small. Last time I was here in Las Vegas, I experienced this place. 55 FLOORS up is the tag line. It was not as cool as going to Moon of course, this was just a quick spot to attend and people watch for a few minutes. It was more entertaining than the Playboy Club. When I headed there, there was really not much going on that night. I did not see any celebrity sightings like some people said they saw Lindsay Lohan here one night. It is not officially a club, it is a bar. I did not get to check out RAIN though that night at the Palms because it was not OPEN. It was still hot to check out the views of Las Vegas. Great view of Vegas at night. I loved the design and cleanliness. There was a cleaner on top of all the spills on the dance floor. If you are on the guest list (just book in advance - we did it on the day of) not only will you get free admission, but you will also get a free drink. If you are not on the list, the admission fee is $20 for males and $10 for females. Music sucks though. They played mainly rap music and threw in a few latin songs. read more

I remember this location when it was Ghostbar. At the time, The Palms was the most in demand and popular place to be. Ghostbar ended up being much more a club than a bar. It was always crowded (especially the outdoor space). The VIP section was off to the side (away from the spectacular strip views). Chaotic. This new space picks up with a completely different vibe and ambiance. It's much more mature, sleek and gives an intimate and exclusive feel. If you don't have a table, there is very little space to do much else. It's not nearly as crowded as it once was. I appreciate that so many Tables were set outside on the balcony. Ghostbar setup had nothing similar, which resulted in EVERYONE communing outside like sardines and ultimately obstructing the strip views. The tables at APEX force the crowds to be broken up. Social club is a good name ... it's definitely not a bar, and far from a club. Nice job! read more

Great views and even a glass hole in the floor on the balcony! Very upper class, if you look around you'll see a lot of 21 year old Donald Trumps. Not my crowd at all, drinks and expensive and the music is bad. We used a groupon and got a free drink so that helped a bit :D nothing is stopping that terrible music though! My 300th review! Went here on 1/15/11 with my friend after we hit up Rain. We basically walked right in after flashing our ids. We were handed a receipt that said cover was $30. Yikes! We didn't have to pay of course. After going up 55 floors in the elevator and handed our receipt to the doorman, we saw a breathtaking view. This club is absolutely gorgeous. It's not one of those clubs dripping in faux gold and red velvet swags all over the place. No, this club is bright and filled with low white couches. Nothing clashed or obstructed the view - including go-go dancers. There were no go-go dancers! It was great. The whole place is absolutely stunning. We stepped out on the beautiful balcony. It was so nice outside that the heater wasn't really necessary. Everyone was sidestepping the plexiglass cut out on the balcony like the plague. After resting my foot on it a few times, I took the plunge to stand on it. It was scary looking down and seeing little cars that looked like ants. I wasn't the only one, people were physically shaking around the glass. The music was great, unfortunately, nobody was dancing whatsoever. We ended up leaving at 12:45 am. If I was going to buy bottle service, I'd get it at this place. read more
