I was able to make an online reservation just a couple of days in advance, which was quick and painless. What I didn't realize was that they offer a weekday happy hour and live music! We were seated in "Bull***t Corner," which turned out to be the perfect spot. We had a great view of both the bar and the entertainment, making for a lively and entertaining atmosphere. Also, can't forget to mention the service. The hosts were fun but our actual server was absolutely hysterical and fit right in with the fun. She kept us laughing throughout our visit, while also being incredibly attentive. Despite the busy atmosphere, she made sure our drinks were flowing, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything was taken care of. It's not often you find someone who can be both entertaining and genuinely great at their job, but she pulled it off effortlessly. Our guests were genuinely impressed, and everyone had a fantastic time. The drinks were excellent as always--I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad cocktail here. I haven't had the chance to try their food yet, and we decided to stick with a few drinks since we already had dinner reservations elsewhere, but after this visit, I definitely plan on coming back on a weeknight to order from the food menu. The hummus was bland and the oxtail added no flavor or texture. They tried to add crunch with the chickpeas but they felt like bothersome flossing issues to be dealt with later. The naan was more like an under toasted pita bread and there was no flakiness. The octopus dish was ok but nothing to write home about. Went up ready to order and the bartender asked where we were seated and said a waitress would come by and that we couldn't order with him. We sat, we waited 15-20 mins and no one came around. My fried chicken wings arrived after and extended wait time, while my vegetable fried rice took even longer. My friends short rib were excellent she said but her mashed potatoes were actually cold. It felt as though part of the plate had been prepared and left sitting while the rest of the meal was finished. She declined to share the feedback because she didn't want to wait even longer. The restaurant was also out of plenty menu items as well as an ingredient needed for one of their signature cocktails. I ordered the wings but they were heavily seasoned with what tasted like additional seasoning added after frying. I literally coughed after taking a bite and my friend coughed as well trying to eat one due to all the seasoning. The kimchi Brussels sprouts had potential but they were tough and overly salty. The biggest disappointment was the vegetable fried rice. It was overwhelmed with soy sauce to the point that it was difficult to eat. My friend tasted it and immediately noticed the difference between my rice and her oxtail fried rice. I eventually walked to the bar and asked for it to be removed from the bill. The restroom had toilet paper scattered across the floor the trash can was overflowing there was no soap available and the sink area needed attention. Like this was at opening which means that restroom was dirty from the night before. The lack of organization was very noticeable. Employees seemed to be pulled in multiple directions and at one point I had to leave my table and walk to the bar to get assistance. Even the cook brought out food and commented that he should not have been serving which made the staffing challenges even more obvious. I genuinely wanted to love this place but with a $146 boll for two people the experience did not match the price point. I understand that staffing issues happen but this place is a hot mess. Customers should not have to absorb the impact through slow service inconsistent food quality and cleanliness concerns.

We were at the Rio to see a show, and after the show decided we wanted to keep hanging out there and enjoying. At one of the bars we randomly stopped at on the property before the show, one of the bartenders gave us a buy one get one free cocktail for VooDoo Lounge if we went. And there was no cover charge to get in! Sold! We decided to head up there after the show. This spot is locaed on the 51st (I believe) floor of the hotel but you enter on the second floor and take an elevator up. After a quick check our IDs and search of our bags and whatnot, we were able to take the elevators upstairs. As soon as we got there, I booked it for the outside patio. I mean, come on, you have to! This is really what sold me. WOW! It's STUNNING up there! Amazing views on the Strip unlike anything I've ever seen before. There was also a DJ up there and he was playing great music. For a Friday night, it wasn't super busy, but still really nice. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, as the tables and lounge seating was totally open for everyone to enjoy. We took in the beautiful views and each had a cocktail. Our server was outstanding and did a great job waiting on us. Sadly, we were getting a Vegas thunderstorm underway so the DJ had to stop and security all ushered us inside. Still, nonetheless, this was such a cool experience and one I'll continue to talk about.
