I remember ordering my daughter's 7th birthday cake, but she told me she would be out of state and wouldn't be able to take my order. Even so, she found a way to accommodate my request. She made my daughter's cake before leaving for her vacation just to make sure my daughter would still have her special birthday cake. That kindness is something I'll never forget. Most recently, I ordered my wedding cake from her. Once again, she went above and beyond my expectations. She even made my cake larger than what I had ordered without charging me extra because she wanted to make sure I had enough cake for all of my guests. That level of generosity and thoughtfulness is so rare. Sylvia is the most incredible baker I've ever met. The bride and groom asked for carrot cake for the bottom layer and marbled cake on top. Based on the reviews and pictures left on her Yelp page, I was very eager to see the final product and was thrilled when I finally met with her on the day we scheduled for pickup. The cake was perfect and almost an exact replica of picture I had sent her from Pinterest. "Almost" because her cake looked better! It was apparent that Risa took her time to delicately put it together and that baking is a passion for her. She also built a custom box for me to transport it; secured very carefully and thoroughly.
