We decided to upgrade our kitchen counters and after research decided to check out Giallo Stone. The showroom contained a wide variety of colors and materials. Once we decided the material and color the installation process was simple. They came to our house once and measured the counters and backsplashes. They scheduled a crew to come to our house to demo the existing aged limestone counters and install our new ones. They were fast and clean. We expected lots of dust and debris, there was none. I was especially impressed when I subsequently chipped a piece of the counter by accident, and they sent a repair person who quickly fixed it perfectly. I don't know where to start. I decided to remodel my kitchen and start from cabinets. My cabinet guy told me I have to take care of the counter tops separately and let me tell you. It was nightmare. Any business I try either they were unpunctual or giving crazy high price. My coworker referred me to Giallo Stone. I wish I went there first. He showed me did rent option and told me which one will work on best and I can get for lowest price. All Stegner was done in less than 30 minutes. I was dead wrong. After getting a 6 week estimate, I decided to swing by Giallo Stone and see what they had and what the timeframe would be. Turns out, they had a massive and stunning selection of options, and Andrey took us out into the yard himself and walked us through his process. I pulled the trigger on a gorgeous quartzite and within about 10 days it was cut and installed to perfection. I'm soooo glad I didn't settle for the Home Depot subpar experience. We moved into our Townhome a year ago and had the standard countertop with no character. Looking around at several options, we found Giallo Stone through Costco but we didn't like the stone that was under the Costco umbrella. Karina took extra time with us on a Saturday to go through their vast samples and nothing was catching our eye, however, their Dekton samples were out of this world. We picked our Dekton Trillium stone and next came measurement and installation... Andre was great with quickly taking measurements, double checking and setting up the installation. In the past, our projects took several months with us chasing the contractors.. Not with Andre. In one day, I had a new countertops and Andre made sure I was extra happy. Because we were going with a newer material we had been advised to only work with someone who had experience with the fabrication and installation of Geoluxe. Our options were somewhat limited. They did an absolutely amazing job fabricating a porcelain slab countertop for our new island and quartzite for the wall side counters and a beautiful single slab quartzite backsplash. I had a marble table top from my family home that I'd wanted cut into a baker's counter. My contractor and architect both said that no one would cut and encouraged me to purchase new marble. Two weeks before the end of our kitchen remodel, the quartz countertop we selected months ago became unavailable to us. Our general contractor "messed-up", that was the only explanation we got from him. Facing a two-week setback, we need to find a replacement fast. Through a big winter storm, and a flat tire, Karina from Giallo Stone made it to my house the day before Thanksgiving. We found Giallo Stone through Costco. After finding out the Costco countertop is outside our budget, Karina suggested a visit to their showroom because there are so many other brands to choose from equally as elegant and prestigious as the "brand" Costco carries, it is not the end. Rather than waiting until Monday, my wife and I decided to find a slab on Friday so we can avoid the time setback. When we arrived at Giallo Stone, it was empty due to the Holiday schedule. However, a gentleman came out to greet us, and said the store owner Andrey can be here in 40 minutes. While waiting, he gave us a tour of their impressive fabricating facility fully equipped with water-jet saws and other cutting machines. Andrey came in around 3pm, and we walked out before 6pm, with a signed contract and giant sigh of relieve. During the visit, I learned Andrey is very knowledgeable and experienced with countertop slab stones through many years of service. One feature we wanted was to have a "water fall". Splitting a slab of stone into pieces, and reassembling them back into one piece with pattern and vein to form the water fall flow is both technically and aesthetically challenging. Without experience, it's just a waste of expansive material. Giallo Stones sells, cut, and install under one roof. This saved us from a lot of stress and time of coordinating between different crews. In the end, Andrey helped us to select Calacatta Gold from Silestones of Spain. Andrey's crew came on the next Saturday and spent about 5 hours to finish the job. His crew working in tandem knew exactly what to do in the midst of a construction site also known as "my kitchen". The installation could have happened even earlier, but company policy forbids a rainy day installation due to safety. They were polite and experienced, as a result, a simple piece of countertop brought everything together as a whole, flowing from the cabinet down to the floor. Call Andrey/Giallo Stone before you make your hiring decision for your stone countertops and tile or stone backsplash. We had the interior of our house painted and I couldn't select a wall color to coordinate with our original awful coral colored countertop in our powder room. My sister suggested that I replace the countertop (then I could use the paint color I really wanted (which is Grey Owl by Benjamin Moore if you're curious, it is an awesome color! My "after" pic doesn't do it justice.)). Andrey had done sister's kitchen countertops about a decade ago, so I gave him a call. I told him what I was looking for and he suggested the piece I ended up selecting after walking the lot and showroom. He gave me a super reasonable price and got the job done FAST even though we had a snafu with the sink I was trying to save/reuse. He found me a replacement sink and didn't charge me. I made an appointment to get a piece of stone cut, and when I brought the stone there, the owner of the company asked for the measurements. I had taken the measurements of the countertop three times to make sure they were correct, so I gave him those numbers. He started screaming at me, saying my measurements were incorrect. He then crumbled up a piece of paper and through it while continuing to scream at me. He told me he does it make enough money on this type of job to help me, and that he would not cut the stone, which at this point was fine with me. I have not been screamed at like that by an adult man ever in my life. I left shaking. He needs a therapist. read more

In my opinion, Andrey was rude and unprofessional. He threatened to add on charges not previously agreed to unless I wrote two 5 star reviews. After he canceled the job, he did not give the slabs back and threatened to add charges unless I agreed not to post any reviews. During our initial measurements, Andrey said our sink wasn't pulled out enough and forcibly yanked it out. The cabinet face for that sink was carefully templated and cut so it was a snug fit. We noticed later that the cabinet face was split apart and suspected it might have occurred when the sink was pulled out during templating but we didn't bring it up or make a fuss. We stayed up until 3am to put the face of the cabinet back together and also noticed that by pulling out the sink further, we would have to cut away a large part of the supporting platform underneath and worried it would undermine the structural integrity. Therefore we texted him the update to ask if we can push the sink back 1/2", expecting him to check his phone the next morning. We wanted to make sure he had that info on the off chance he was going to cut the slab. The next day, he was extremely curt and yelled that I texted him last night at 3. I apologized but he never acknowledged that apology and acted like I actually called him to wake him up the night before. Regardless, I brushed it off and asked him about the new measurements. He was resistant to coming over and told us to do it ourselves. He told us the original distance from the back of the sink to the face of the cabinet was 14 7/8, but since we were pushing the sink back by 1/2" the new distance would be 14 3/8. We measured it and realized he did the math wrong. Pushing the sink back would increase the distance from the back lip of the sink to the cabinet face and he mistakenly subtracted 1/2" rather than adding 1/2". So to be on the safe side, we asked him to come out to remeasure. We didn't think it was a big deal since we had previously saved him a trip out to the house. (He texted us previously to help confirm one of his measurements that he forgot to jot down). He offered to come out on Sunday and casually mentioned he was going on vacation on Wed. After the measurement which took about 10 min, he says "I charge $250 every time I come out and I've been to your house twice, I'm not going to charge you but you need to write me two five star Yelp reviews". I was shocked because 1. He never mentioned any charges in any of our prior conversations and 2. It was a huge red flag to demand five star reviews before any work was completed. And 3. He threatened to charge me if I didn't write the reviews. I wanted the project to go smoothly so I agreed to the review if the job was done well. I asked when we could get the countertop installed. He responded 14 days which was not what was previously promised. He made an excuse that the stone delivery was delayed but based on our original timeline, it would be pushed back one week, not two. He also failed to disclose his vacation plans and possible delay before he got the job, which would've altered my decision on choice of contractor. On his way out, he confirmed that one measurement that he had asked me to check and told me I took the right measurement. I wanted to diffuse the tense situation so I said "I guess we're even then, since I saved you a trip with that measurement and you came out to check the measurement of the sink". He then yelled "No, we are not even" and complained that I was not grateful that he came in. I explained that the only reason we asked him to redo the measurement was because the cabinet face split apart when the sink was pulled out. He took no responsibility and blamed us that the cabinet broke. I texted him Tuesday to see if he can send us the digital template so we can just roughly confirm the measurements to avoid any mistakes (since we already caught one) and because he didn't make any physical templates. His response was rude and refused to show us the template. He refused to admit there were any mistakes with the prior measurement. He canceled the job and told me not to contact him anymore and only wanted to talk to my husband (I was the one coordinating the whole project). He told me to pick up the slabs within 2 days but would not return them unless I agreed not to post any reviews. He also threatened to add charges not previously mentioned in our contract. Keep in mind he was the one who canceled the job. I felt like I was being bullied and was scared to post a review initially but ultimately decided it was important to share my experience. I also found out there is a California bill AB 2365 that prohibits companies from using non-disparagement clauses and it also makes it unlawful for businesses in California to attempt to penalize someone for making negative comments. I would not recommend doing business with him, not every project will go smoothly and this is an example of what happens when it doesn't. read more

Giallo Stone was great. Andrey and I worked well together. I decided to paint my old brick fireplace and lower the mantel and also put a TV above it. The TV pulls down for viewing. It was a big job for just me. I decided I would try and do all myself, except for a granite hearth. I just needed a black granite remnant and wanted to use a local business to install it. Andrey and Giallo Stone was the ticket. He had a beautiful piece of granite and his guys did a great job installing it. Very happy with how good everything looks. read more
