I admit that I was drawn by all those good reviews and thought they just did an excellent job and very care their customer. But I was wrong and here's my experience: I quoted from 5 different fabricators and they're the second expensive one. I want my little kitchen to be perfect so I rather pay a premium price in order to get a premium service . I met Andrey on a Saturday morning. He seemed very professional and the showroom is pretty beautiful too. Although I don't have a big budget, I still went with him for my countertop. The process was quick. They measured the size on Tuesday and installed that on Friday. I was so excited for my countertop and get back early from work to check it out. But I was kind of disappointed when I saw it. The undermount sink cutout was off, few cracks on my cabinet and the glue were everywhere in my new sink and the countertop. I sent him an email immediately and expect for an explanation. He agrees to check it out on Sunday Morning. He did come about 4 pm afternoon. After he checked out, he told me that everything was in his standard. There's nothing wrong with the work and it's simply because I expect too much. 1. For the cutout of the sink. I asked for the flush reveal(which is the countertop and the sink at the same level). He will not tell you what that is and if you're not gonna ask, he will just give you a negative reveal( the countertop surface will come out a little bit to hide the sink edge). I did my research and found out that the negative reveal will not easy to clean and potentially cause mold. He will default to this method simply because it's more easy for them ( if the cutout is not good, it will still look ok). Please do your research on the Internet maybe you'll like what they give to you. But anyway, I still choose the best reveal that I believe. He will show you his "million dollars" CNC machine and let you believe that he can do anything for you. But in reality, it's simply not the truth. The cutout turn out to be a mixed reveal, which means some part of it is positive, some part is negative and some part is flush. He told me that everything they have done is considered his good quality work. If I don't accept it, I'll have to live with it until I feel comfortable with it. I still remember that he told me he will not get rich or poor by my business and he got 200 jobs to do every month, which, I translats as, that you do not matter to me or to my business at all. Okay, Mr, I don't know if you could do 6.666 jobs every day, but I do know that the work was not what I've been told that you can do. Then I asked, will you do every job like this and it that the best you can do. He pauses a little and told me of cause not, he can do whatever I want. If I told him that I want it to be perfect, he will try his best to meet my standard. Sorry that I'm little confused. Even this is not the best you can do to me, it still a good quality work to you? And how can you assume that I do not want the best you can do. Who doesn't want the best you can offer without extra charge? Yeah, maybe I don't deserve their best... 2. For the dirty surface and my sink with glue. I did bring something to clean it up. He took a look and told me, see, no big deal, you can take care of it, why am I here. Okay, I can take care of that. But I do believe any real professional person will clean their mess. If your customer provides you a clean sink, you'll at least clean it up after the job done. It's not your customer's responsibility to clean up your mess. Maybe I just asked too much, but that what I would do. 3. For the cracked cabinet, he did provide me with some credit back, and that's the only part I feel a little bit relieved. So I don't know if he's telling the truth or not, but if that's the quality of their work, they should put it in the showroom. And yes, Mr, I'm nobody to you. I meant nothing to you or your "giant" business. This may be just a small job for you, but it's a great deal to me and my life. So next time, as a "small" meaningless customer, I'll rather find somebody else who really care, and save some bucks. read more

I don't know where to start with these guys. I was looking for a granite countertop on a bathroom I remodeled at my house. Whoever I set up a appointment with was just giving me the run around to charge more than what they were going to deliver. I was getting uncomfortable everywhere I was stopping by I felt like they were trying to just give me whatever scrap marble or granite they had laying around in their shop , and every time I was requesting a particular color and measurement that I wanted they just simply said it's not going to happen. (Other fabricators) I was blessed to meet Andre from Giallo stone, The second I entered his shop I was just impressed beyond the normal. I'm talking about the most latest technology in fabrication tools. Whether job big or small he can take care of whatever it is you need done . Even though my project wasn't as big as what he usually takes care of what I loved about him is he took his time with me as a human being not only with customer service but just appreciation of somebody walking into his office. He sat me down when over all of my options. He set up an appointment stop by my house , He took all of his measurements Was very patient all the crazy questions my wife was asking. I really liked his customer service skills. The real kicker about Andre is his charm. Not the type to empty your wallet the type to look after your wallet. He gave me expensive options he gave me mediocre options he gave me every single option there is for me to save money and understand what it is exactly I am trying to get along with what I have already done with my custom cabinets. I didn't hesitate. There was no question. When we needed to get stone for our master bath remodel, I called Giallo Stone. It has been 5+ years since we got our kitchen countertop from Giallo Stone and much has changed with the company. Once upon a time, it was just one guy, Andrey, and his one truck. Now, he's got a sales team, new trucks, new state-of-the-art equipment and new signage on his building. What hasn't changed is Andrey. It was like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen in a long time. He's still friendly and personable. Turns out I haven't changed either. Meh. They do carry great material. But, on both of our bathroom renovation jobs, Giallo stone has been late on install of our material. Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal, but in the construction world, timing really is everything. And, both delays resulted in lost $, since we had hired other finishers who were held up by the stone jobs. Surprised these guys aren't more sensitive to their commitments, especially when THEY expect to be paid promptly. Other than that, Andrey was just rude and made my wife and I feel like we were somehow inconveniencing him. Work on your customer service, dude. Won't be using Giallo Stone again. read more

TERRIBLE from start to finish. I, like others was drawn by the good reviews but my advise PAY Attention to the bad reviews. From the second he stepped foot in my home he was rude. And I should've taken that as a red flag, but as a women I've come across male workers who just don't want to deal with me as a female but deal with my husband and do good work. Although this is not ideal, I'm usually not home for the construction so as long as it is complete CORRECT I can look the other way. But this is terrible! He ordered the WRONG thickness and blamed us. He put the sink in a different location and blamed us. Our stovetop no longer fits and again blamed us. When I called to talk to him about these things he told me "I'm no longer talking to you I'll only talk to Brian" when I asked if my money was good enough to cash why am I not good enough to talk to he threatened to charge me $1,000 extra because our HOA made him come out before the work began to do a walk through. We have no control over what the HOA requires and he claimed he had worked in our building before. Before the work began we discussed and gave samples of the type of edge we wanted. He finished the countertop how HE thought it should be and then tried to claim we never told him. HE put the sink where HE thought the "industry standard" was NOT where the pipes would fit. Then he didn't put caulk between the wall and the stone AND he DESTROYED our wall!!! To the point we had to call our painter/drywall repair to come back and repair the wall and repaint what THIS company screwed up because they REFUSED to do anything!!! Luckily our other contractor was a great guy and came and fixed it because this terrible company did nothing but yell at me and tell me I was just complaining and nit-picking!!! Yes complaining that you not only ruined our walls but left gaps everywhere!!! You're right I should not have expected you to be professional and do your job! Then we have a piece of wood that goes on top of the backsplash, and he left a HUGE gap because he made the backsplash TOO high?! Again OUR fault! Just overall a terrible experience and we have to now hire many other people to fix these lazy and unprofessional results. NEVER use them is our experience. Go with anyone else! See pictures. Ever complaint I had I was told this is what the Industry standard is. When I asked don't you think before you move the location of my.sink you should talk to me, I was told NO! We do things right and this is where your sink should have been, it's not our fault you have to go buy pipes and hire a plumber to put your sink back, that's normal!!! I have no problem if the sink is in a different place BUT talk to me first! Explain things to me and explain I might need to hire a plumber done do work without approval from me when I'm paying you to do what I want! If what I want is not what you agree with, then talk to me, tell me and I'll take your professional opinion. But when you do whatever you want, know what I want, means you just don't care! And then after you completely screw up my kitchen and I call to talk you about it, your response is to threaten me to charge me more because you want to talk to my husband and not me! So disrespectful and sloppy work. We are so tired of this BS we hired a REAL professional to fix the mistakes and ended up paying DOUBLE because of this! Seriously RUN the other way! read more

Our $10,520.00 Dekton countertops If you are looking for terrible workmanship backed with a complete lack of work ethic and dishonesty then Giallo Stone is the company for you. Andrey is an arrogant little man who does not back up the quality of the work performed by his company and lies to your face about the "reasons" for the obviously sloppy, lazy, completely unacceptable results. He is all smiles and promises until he gets the job, at which point he is rude and obnoxious. He told us that we needed 3 slabs of stone, 150 square feet, to do our countertops and backsplash which total less than 80 square feet. We were told that matching the seams would require more material. As you can see in the photos the seam in the backsplash, the most noticeable area of the job, is not only not matched but joined at a place where the stone is a completely different color. Had any body given a d*mn about the job they would have at least flipped the piece of stone around and made the seam on the side that was at least similar in color. (Check the photos, really). But considering they had over 70 square feet left you would think that wouldn't have been an issue. An entire slab is 50 square feet and they are identical. They left a strip between the range hood and the backsplash uncovered because they were too lazy to notch the stone. My previous backsplash absolutely covered this area. I have photos. I hate to think about how grease would get caught in there. When I pointed it out Andrey said it had to be that way and that it was that way before and I that I must not have noticed the strip of old yellow paint that was showing. My kitchen has not ever been yellow in the 17 years that I have lived here. The yellow was under the old granite. I have photos proving that the old backsplash met the range hood. Andrey suggested that I paint the strip white to match the walls.Seriously? That will make it less noticeable right? I am now going to have to pay someone to add a piece of stainless steel at the edge of the hood to cover it. The countertops reached the walls but the backsplash did not. He tried to say that this was because of my walls. They took a template which should be the exact shape needed to fit perfectly. He then said that the space was an expansion gap. He told us that it was the painter's responsibility to fill any gaps between the stone and the wall and that I should have the wall floated out to meet the stone. $500 later the painter fixed it by bringing the wall up to the stone as Andrey suggested. There goes the expansion gap theory. There is also a very noticeable gap between the backsplash and the cabinets. Again, he called it an "expansion gap". Funny that my old granite didn't need these gaps and actually met with all of the adjoining surfaces. On the other side of the kitchen there is a small 2" backsplash behind the sink. This backsplash used to come all the way up to the edge of the windowsills and it was mitered in the corner where it meets. As you can see in the photos it no longer covers the wood and the pieces just butt up to the each other in the corner. Again Andrey came up with a battery of excuses including that they didn't mitre inside corners because they might not meet up. It's called a template. Use it. More lazy, sloppy work! He argued that I should sand down my windowsills to meet the stone. Seriously? He also suggested that the painter could do something. The painter laughed. How about cutting the stone right in the first place? Before he started the job I asked him if we would have enough stone left over to do our fireplace. He said he would need a $1700 deposit on the fireplace job in order to enter the design into his program to see if he could cut the pieces. Pass. He also said that he happened to have a slab there that he could sell us for that job. At the end of our job I asked him how much material we had left and he said it was only a quarter of a slab. I highly doubt it but I asked him to deliver it to us anyway. His shop is 15 minutes from my house and he is trying to charge us $400 to deliver it. I wonder if this is how he just happens to have slabs laying around. So as I said, if you want a sh*t job for a premium price and a lot of grief and disrespect along he way, Giallo stone is your company and Andrey is your guy. read more

They were able to do our grey peninsula in one huge slab with no seams and did our other counter around stove and sink with just two slabs (and almost indistinguishable seam). Takes about 2 weeks for them to fabricate in there shop and ten just day or two to install. Highly recommend these guys. read more
