TLDR; Fast, top notch, friendly service The long version: Imagine coming back from a family trip to your parents with your kid. You're tired but satisfied, mostly happy to be home after sitting on a plane for many hours flying through different time zones. You see your house and feel the relief of knowing your shower and bed are near. You notice your car parked in front of the house, it looks nice and familiar and it makes you smile, but then .... Intro scary music.... you notice one of the little back windows is smashed in. As in it looks like someone took a round object and smacked it all the way in there. Glass everywhere. Peace of mind shattered. As you can guess the above happened to me. Being too tired to freak out (okay maybe I did a little bit) and having an awesome partner, a quote was soon submitted to my car insurance. Fingers crossed this would get resolved soon and smoothly. Did I mention I had to fly out on another trip the day after? Lo and behold this place was my saving grace. They had an appointment slot to come in early the next day. They were friendly, transparent on pricing and very accommodating. I was helped by Kody and he was the best. He reassured me several times that my car was in excellent hands (it was), that they'd try and fix it asap (they did) and that unfortunately the little window they smashed is the most expensive one (of course it is) and that they could store my car at no extra cost so me being out of town was no problem (correct once again) and that he would keep me updated along the way (he really did). I got my car repaired from here after my catalytic converter was stolen. It unfortunately took them 1 year and 2 weeks to get a new one. They said I was one of the last cars to get one for some reason. The service here was always good and they're always polite about it. Obviously it's no way their fault that it took that long which I was okay with. Once once came in, they gave me an update that my car would be ready soon. They also didn't charge me anything for the car being in their lot for over a year. After the new CC was installed the car worked well and had no issues. The only problem to take away was that there were a lot of superficial scratches on my car in the front and side. Luckily they look like things I can buff out on my own easily. There is a lot a big dent on the side which they tried to repair and a dent on the back. I can see this being a problem for some people but I don't really care since I plan on renting out my car now since I had to buy a new once since it took so long to fix. Overall, everyone there was polite and they got the job done. Per the reviews, it seems like it's going to take a while before the job gets done so be prepared to have a backup car. They did make it super simple with my insurance which I appreciated and also didn't give me a ton of hassle since I needed a week before I could come pick up my car. read more

I give this shop the WORST review possible. The shop and the owner Mike and his Team are the worst in the business to say the least. On Sept 26 2024, the Subaru was taken after a 20-25 miles collision to the passenger door. What was promised to take 2 weeks, took 1 month and 4 days. Since the car was picked up Nov 5th 2024 the car has been taken 3-4 additional times to fix what was broken during the stay of the car. They took the car apart WHY ?? The accident occurred in a collision maybe 20-25 miles in the intersection. The hood, the inside panel from the door to the roof of the car was removed and when it was assembled back the inside panel is loose, the driver door does not close properly, the view mirror was attached to the edge of the liner and it cannot be moved. It's liked glued to the edge of the liner. The car dashboard lights come on when water gets to the electrical part of the car as per a Subaru tested the car. For the 4th time the car was picked up and has the same issues today. The only thing fixed was the window not it closes without shaking. He had the car from Mar 3 to March 10th. Be aware and do not take your car to this place. Per the BAR this business has a lot of complaints. read more

I took my car here after a damage that happened to my doors. They did an amazing job fixing it, the only thing, they took a LONG TIME to fix the car. They told me they had to wait for parts to arrive which took a long time. But as soon as those arrived, they told me the wait will be longer because they haven't started painting the damaged part yet after two weeks! So I wasn't happy with that. It make sense to paint the parts and when the other parts arrived replace it and have it ready to go ! But that was not the case! Otherwise I was really happy with the work they did! We had our 2014 Subaru repaired after a front end collision in April 2022. Since then we spent $4000+ on fixing the terrible mechanical work done. Cheap aftermarket parts failing and had to be replaced several months later. Horn never fixed, but we were charged for it! The radiator they replaced in 2022 just blew up leaking coolant into transmission fluid causing extensive expensive damage. AVOID at all costs. I was in a car accident and I was referred to Giannini's through Geico. I could not say anything bad about Santos and his team. They kept the conversation clear and concise with what needed to be done and with my car being a 2021 all my parts were back ordered. I had a rental for almost a month and their team contacted me with every progress of the repair. Even when I had to bring it back for an electrical issue with the car not their service. I felt like they kept it honest and I left very satisfied. BONUS: Man, right when I left the shop my tire pressure went low --my car had a NAIL in it. I had the misfortune of taking my car to this shop. I'm a returning customer who was disrespected, insulted, and assaulted by the owner and his son or employee. I dropped off my car to get front-end work done and polish the car. On the first day, the owner was unprofessional as he was cursing like a sailor and carrying on about how he was having a bad day. So I told him that I have another shop that I could take it to, then his attitude switched to a more professional tone. They had done a good job before on my rear bumper and polished the entire car, so I decided to trust them with this job. Unfortunately, the guy who helped me a few years ago was no longer there, so I trusted that the owner of the shop would take care of it just as well. Nope! A few days later, I received a call saying that my car was ready for pickup. I got to the shop and assessed the job, and it was terrible. First, the hood was on crooked, so that had to be straightened out. The paint on the hood was not polished at all, nor was the car. I rubbed my hand across the hood, and it felt like sandpaper, and the paint job on the bumper clip was gritty. I'm sure everyone can agree that the paint on your car should be smooth like glass. The owner kept apologizing, saying he'll take care of it, and he "forgot" to wax and polish the car. OK! I left the car, and a few days later, I went to get it and pointed out a paint chip that wasn't there before, paint or polish overspray on the hood and both fenders, and on the bumper. When I pointed out the issues with the paint, the owner blew up on me. He ripped his shirt off like he was going to fight me about their shoddy workmanship. Another guy came running full steam, like he was going to attack me. I stood my ground and asked for my key so that I could go, and they were so angry, cursing and throwing slurs. They literally threw a key at me that wasn't mine, and another guy found my key, and I left. Never ever, ever giving these hacks business again! read more

A tree fell on my almost-brand-new car while I was driving in San Francisco a month ago, and Triple A listed Giannini's as a repair shop. Essentially every part of my car needed to be replaced due to the damages from the tree (totaling $8K for repairs without insurance!). Turnaround time was ~2.5 weeks from start to finish, which was pretty quick given the amount of work that needed to be done. When my car was returned to me, Giannini's team did such a great job with the repairs that it really looked like my car was brand new again. Stop wasting your time and go to a different auto shop!!! My mother went to this Auto body shop. She had to visit there 3 times to get their work corrected and they still did a horrible job- putting new parts, paintings, and wheel repairs. When they put new parts, there was a huge gap in between. And the paintings and wheel repairs they did look very different from the car color and other wheels. You don't need to be a professional to look at how bad they worked. Also, someone ate in her car and didn't clean after themselves. They returned her car as it was - with someone's food garbage. Staff members are rude, not professional at all; if you call them twice, you will get 2 different answers. Not good at what they do and no customer service.
