RED FLAG.... Do NOT look at the reviews below. Took my brand new Benz here after running over a median. It was in BAD shape however, Johnson said I'd have my car back almost new within 3-4 weeks. After weeks going by with a $15k charge to my insurance, I myself had to contact Johnson for updates after being postponed week over week with false promises. He does NOT call back when he says he will. Red flag number two. I did get my car back but with only more issues. We ended up taking the car to the Benz dealership for them to see a huge crack within the shock towers that had solution slapped on.I'm no mechanic but this is a HUGE sign that Marina Auto didn't do the work. I would have been fine with the car being totaled within the first week of initiation Howver I had to wait over TWO months for my car to be completely totaled. I got into a car accident and had the tow truck company take my car to this place. All i can say is 5 star service! My anxiety from uncertainty was all taken care of by speaking to Vince. I think he is the manager there. His customer service is superior as he gave me options and explained them all thoroughly. He spoke clear and concise and assured me everything was going to get taken care of. This is my first review on Yelp as I usually don't write reviews. I was absolutely amazed by Marina Auto Body shop's service! I got into an accident a week ago, my car was hit by some crazy lady and she denied the accident saying she didn't hit my car. Her passenger side mirror scraped my car when she drove by my car. Since there's no witness at the time of the accident, her insurance company would not pay for the damage on my car so I have to claim my own insurance and pay out of my pocket due to the deductible. I was very upset and frustrated by the whole incident. There is a long scratch from the driver side rear panel all the way to the front driver side door. I usually come to Marina whenever there's an auto body issue since they've done awesome jobs before on my cars. Vince used to take good care of me. So I just dropped by this morning without making an appointment to get an estimate on the damage, hoping it won't cost much. Johnson Chen was there to help me since Vince was not there. Johnson explained to me about the work they need to perform, fortunately no paint job needed on my car because the scratch only damaged the clear coat but not the paint, so they can just sand it down and buff it out for me. He told me that it will just take about 1 to 1.5 hour to get it fixed so I can get it back same day. I agreed and waited at the shop while they started to fix my car. I dropped off my car at 9:30am and it was done at 11:10am, they also washed and waxed my car, it looks amazing and like new again!! All the scratches were gone and didn't leave any marks on the paint! I really appreciate the work done by the guys at Marina. Johnson handed me the key and patiently explained to me how to take care of the paint since my car is black, it is hard to take good care so some detailing is necessary to get back the shine. At the end, I was shocked as Johnson told me there will be no charge on the service they've done on my car! It's just unbelievable about his kindness and how generous he is, so I have to write a review for them. I would definitely recommend anyone to check with Marina Auto Body shop if you have any issues on your car since these guys are just the best auto body shop in SF!!! Marina Auto Body have been my go-to shop for all my car problems. From my dad's Prius getting hit and run and needing major work on the rear bumper, to my RDX getting vandalized from spray paint while parked in the streets of San Francisco (this city is so shitty now). Marina Auto Body would always be the place I think of first to solve all these painful headaches. As I have mentioned, my car was vandalized while parked in the streets of San Francisco. At first I thought it was just really dirty, but soon realized it was not just dirt, it was spray painted (fucking ape shit, people nowadays have no fucking better things to do with their lives?!?!). Called Marina Auto Body and they slot me in for an emergency, the guys there told me I shouldn't wait too long either as the longer the paint stays on, the harder it'll be to remove (and we're not even sure if they can remove it either). Andy was so nice to walked me through the process, I told him what happened and he examine the area and Aldo (not sure if I got his name right) went right to work. Thank goodness the spray paint did come off and now my car is back to normal. This place is great. It was recommended to me after I had a small accident and needed a new headlight assembly and the front bumper to be reattached. My car is old (but good!) and I don't make much money, and Walter understood. He worked to find me the best deal on a reconditioned headlight assembly, did the bumper for me, and then also fixed some additional damage they found while working on it free of charge. He knew I didn't want paint touch-ups (it's not that kind of car, lol!) and he didn't try to convince me that I needed them. They did the work for me in one day. I found this place on Yelp just shopping for quotes on Bryan St. after someone hit (and ran) me while I was parked and not at the car. I have Geico insurance and it was a seamless process. I was quoted for 1 week but it was ready within a few days. The 5 stars is based on excellent customer service (they keep their word and don't try to cheat you), efficiency (car ready in a few days), and going above and beyond. My dent was just above my driver's side wheel yet when they cleaned my car they polished my headlights from murky yellow to glistening, brilliant white, and I had a piece of plastic hanging from the bottom of my car- they lifted it up so I don't constantly hear the scrapping after each speed bump. Easily 5 stars. As a transplanted NYer I'm extremely distrusting of body shops. Fact is back on the east coast, most body shops are out to screw you over and get by on slightly above horrible work. So even though a close friend recommended Marina to me I was a little suspicious based on previous experiences, especially considering I'm a huge car-guy. That 100% went away after talking to Vince and having him go above and beyond what I was expecting. He was extremely informative of regarding the work that would be done to my car upon the initial inspection, helped me GREATLY by working with the insurance company to get all of the imperfections on my car fixed to showroom standard, and perhaps most importantly he was in constant contact with me through the entire process. I received phone calls updating me about the status of the claim, the status of parts being ordered as well as when the car would be painted and detailed. Absolutely fantastic experience. The paint work came out 10 out of 10, no complaints at all. Being that they also are a typical mechanic shop as well as a body shop, I will be using them going forward for all car related needs I have that I don't personally do myself. Vince, you rock! my friend suggested this place. stellar work. i bought a used hard top of craigslist, which didn't match my car. now it does! they removed the rear glass, painted the top, and then replaced the glass. there's no way you could tell i didn't buy the top w/ the car. vince even took care of some of the scratched and nicks along the edge that the prior own made. if you want pro paint work done, don't hesitate to go here. read more

My 2016 Mazda 3 was involved in a hit and run, and I chose to have it fixed at Marina Auto Body based on all the glowing reviews. There was extensive damage to my car, and while I was initially quoted 2-3 weeks for the fix, it ended up taking more than 6 weeks. Each time they would tell me it would be done "in just a few more days" and then extend it once their new deadline had passed. After my car had been in the shop for 30 days and my insurance rental car had to be returned, I called the shop was told that they had a loaner car that I could use while my car was being fixed. However, when I went down there to get it, I was then told that someone else was using the car, and that I could come get it another day. I was annoyed that I wasn't told this on the phone and had to go down there to find out that the car wasn't available. After 6 weeks, they were able to get my car looking great, which I appreciate. However, the long delay and frequent miscommunications left a bad taste in my mouth and I don't think I'll be returning to Marina Auto Body. read more

Great! Great! Great! I headed over to Marina Auto Body to get my tires replaced and was I glad that I did. They not only replaced and disposed of my tires, they were of the highest quality and perform better than my stock tires. They were able to get my car back to me in less than an hour and it was the best deal in the bay area, better than Costco! Vincent is as professional as they come. He gave me detailed specs of the different tires that would fit our budget. My girlfriend, who uses the car to commute 2 hours a day, needed durable high quality tires. Retail tire shops like Just Tires or Costco charged premium prices without the guarantee of the tires being in stock. In one Costco location the tires we wanted would have taken 2-4 weeks to arrive at the store. Marina Auto Body had the perfect tires in stock and cheaper than any retail shop we visited. I'd wanted to get my dangly bumpers on my '95 Jetta roll-up (don't hate - I love my car) fixed for a while. I visited many of the body shops in SOMA, but they all seemed like most car places - brusk and alienating, and I almost felt embarrassed asking for body work on my 17 year old coche. I forgot about it for a while until my husband got me a detail service (told you I love my car) at Keatley Detail for Christmas and they recommended Marina Auto Body to get my bumpers fixed. So I finally pulled in and to my surprise I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and the keeeyooootest little dog with a jacket that said "Princess" that I assumed belonged to the equally cute receptionist. A minute later Vince comes over to look at my car and I discover the tiny doggie belongs to him! How can you not love this big macho-looking guy who works on cars for a living yet has this tiny fluffy princess dog as a pet? I was liking this place a lot. I took my mini to Marina Auto Body to get my hood replaced b/c some dummy decided on July 4th to sit on my hood, making a HUGE dent (aka booty print). Everyone at Marina Auto Body was very friendly, and did not make you feel like an id if you didn't know anything about auto insurance, or had no experience around an auto shop. Jessie was very helpful in figuring out insurance issues, and setting me up with a rental car service. I recently had an accident on my Lexus. It was a Sunday late afternoon. I was lost on what to do and no place to have my car towed. Someone refereed me to call Vince at Marina Auto Body. I called Vince and he said he would make an exception to come out and tow my car which is not drivable to his shop. Then I felt so relieved that someone will actually come out on a Sunday evening to help and tow my car to his repair garage. I've gotten into an accident twice in the past 4 months (both were not my fault so get out of here with that asian driver no survivor crap). Both times I had my car towed to Marina Auto Body for repair because they are the only people that I trust to work on my car. Here are my list of thoughts for Marina Auto Body because reviews are so much easier with lists, -Vince cut me a check for $500 because thats what the insurance paid him to get a new bumper but he said that I didn't need a new bumper so he just gave me the extra money, If this was anywhere else, that would've been extra money in their pocket. -They vacuumed the hell out of my rental car for free from all the dog hairs so they wouldn't charge me at Hertz. -My car always feels new when coming out of this place. -I feel that my car is faster when coming out of this place. -I never have a worry because I know the guys at Marina Auto Body will take car of my car. I had such a great customer experience at Marina Auto Body that it inspired me to write my first yelp review! The front bumper of my Lexus had a dent that I was pretty sure could be fixed without having to replace the whole part. My dealer told me I would need a new bumper and he could refer me to a "specialized" Lexus shop to get it replaced. I knew it sounded shady! I took it to Marina Auto Body to get a 2nd opinion. I asked Vince if there was anything they could do to repair it without replacing the part. I didn't care about it looking flawless, just wanted it to look decent again. Vince told me they could take care of it right then and there and they did! He said it might not look 100% without a new part, but they were able to pop and smooth out the dent and it really looks great. Unless you knew it was dented, you can't even tell. I waited less than an hour and Vince checked in a couple times to keep me updated. On top of all that, they didn't charge me! Fast, honest, great quality AND amazing service?! This place can be irritating because they will try and steer you away from work you clearly want, but overall it's a win. These guys are amazing - honestly, amazing! These are the type of auto body guys you want in your corner when there is any kind of issue. I can't say enough about them. I actually had a weird request - I bought a Vespa this year in cream, and I really wanted to have it painted portofino green instead, like last year's Vespas. These guys were completely cool with it, let me bring in the special Vespa paint (though they do have their own paint too - I was just obsessed with it being this particular green), and did an AMAZING job. Vespas can be a bit of a pain to work with, since you have to take every little tiny bit off and repaint it slowly, but Marina Auto Body did a brilliant job. Seriously, amazing. My Vespa looks gorgeous! Exactly the right color. They realized while they were doing it that they needed to order a special top coat for that particular paint, and called me before doing it to let me know about the extra cost, gave me the pros and cons of that topcoat versus the one they have in the shop, and let me make the final decision. These guys are professionals, all the way through. I have been recommending them to everyone, and will definitely take my Vespa back here when it gets scratched up for touchups. Also, their prices are completely reasonable! I first had my Vespa quoted for the repaint at Vespa SF, and was given a quote that was so outlandish I actually started laughing. The quote for just the left flank of my Vespa there was 5x more than my entire Vespa ended up being at Marina Auto Body. Definitely shop around if you want to, but if you have a Vespa that needs a touch up or any kind of paint job - these are the guys you want. Vespas are touchy, and these guys really made mine shine. I get compliments on it all the time! Vince is the head guy over there, and he's totally awesome. Any time I called to ask about timeline or request something (I decided I wanted the Vespa decals added back on, etc.), he was totally chill and helpful. In conclusion, this place is great!! read more
