Bellwood Farm is one of those places that gets a lot of things right: good food, great atmosphere, room for the kids to burn off energy, and enough adult beverages to make watching them do it considerably more relaxing. We went with five adults and two kids. I had the pizza with chicken, onions and mushrooms. The crust was clearly house-made, with that perfect combination of chewy and crunchy in all the right places. Really good pizza. My wife had the smash burger on a gluten-free bun and loved it. Now for our usual restaurant obstacle course: she avoids gluten and dairy; I bring a tree-nut allergy, Alpha-Gal and a diabetes kicker. Eating out with us occasionally requires more due diligence than a small corporate acquisition. Bellwood handled it well. The staff was helpful with our questions, understood what we were trying to avoid and made us comfortable with our choices. That matters. Families get a major bonus here: there's a playground-style area where the kids can stay occupied while the adults can actually talk, eat and briefly remember what meals were like before children. The atmosphere is excellent: wood-fired pizza meets farm-chic, with a great beer and drink selection. There's also an attached butcher shop filled with very good-looking cuts and marinated meats. It all fits together nicely rather than feeling gimmicky. The occasion test: Great for families. Good for a casual business meal. Dates? Definitely. First date could work, but Bellwood feels particularly well suited for the "we already know we like each other, now let's get pizza and a drink" stage. Good food, cool setting, family-friendly and, most importantly for us, a staff willing to take food restrictions seriously. Bellwood Farm is absolutely worth a stop. read more

A couple friends and I went to Bellwood last weekend and it was a delight! Service was friendly and the menu was vast. My friend is a vegetarian and although they boast their fresh in-house butcher, there was plenty of choices on the menu for her. We started off with the deviled eggs and they were delicious. I chose the pesto sausage pizza as my main and although there were bits of burrata topping the pizza, I had hoped for more cheese. The owners do a-lot of different types of business here, Airbnb, butcher, bier garden, event space, restaurant. The business is veteran owned and I like to support Veteran Businesses. The event coordinator worked very hard the day of the wedding to make it run smoothly. The bride and bridesmaids rented the Airbnb for 2 nights. The farmhouse is gorgeous natural wood, the pool is nice but we didn't use it. They supplied pizzas for the bridal party dinner and they were very tasty. The venue was a perfect size, not too big. What a nice place! Nice to get out of the "city" to have dinner. The Neil oven pizzas were killer! I had the chicken & pickle pizza, next time I'll ask for extra pickle. The hubs had the same ol same ol....pepperoni. He likes what he likes. The place was FULL, which is a good thing. However, it was very loud, again a good problem to have...means your customers are happy. Service was good. Very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Informed us that all of the meat they serve is locally grown, which I think is fantastic. The hubs noticed they had a little side shop, so after we finished dinner we went to take a look. Lots of baked goods, sauces, jams&jelly, some adult beverages, and an entire freezer full of various cuts of meat you can purchase. Even the little bakery counter had some. Stopped in for the first time today after reading some Yelp Reviews!! I was amazed that I haven't been here sooner. The property is amazing. They have a Pizza Oven area and the pizza is so good. The have a great cozy bar area that you can grab a drink and eat. That's where I hung out. They have an outdoor Bier Garten that looks fun. Was pretty chill for a Sunday. They also have a separate barn for weddings and other functions that is private. They have a Bed and Breakfast. Also the have an area to tent camp or Park an RV. The other thing is they have their own bakery and general store with a Butcher. You can grab meat and take it home. So many things to choose from. I got the Fish n Chips and it was great. The breading for the fish was crunchy and delicious. I did get a 6 lb piece of carrot cake to go. Did I also tell you that they sell beer too. We had the best time recently, visiting Bellawood Farms for the first time. We went in between lunch and dinner on a Saturday and it was very quiet. The space is really clean, updated, spacious, and welcoming! Everyone we spoke with was friendly -- our server was so sweet! But the food - the food! It was legitimately the best Napoli-style pizza we have had anywhere outside of Napoli, Italy (and I was there earlier this year so I feel like I can judge!) The whole menu is really well-thought out. I really want to try some steaks next visit. They even have their own butcher shop on site and are getting into beef farming. Very cool adventure for them! The pizzas we tried were very different and very, very good. Like hard to pick a favorite, honestly. Margherita had the exact perfect tomato sauce and the cherry tomatoes on the white sauce pizza were so sweet. Note: both taste amazing cold and right out of the fridge as leftovers, too, which isn't always the case. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!! I also tried a gorgeous summery peach bourbon cocktail. I'm not a huge drinker anymore and I'm a bit of a snob, but this beauty of a cocktail couldn't be faulted. It was perfectly balanced. Also tried the bourbon bread pudding and it was generously portioned with warm, comforting flavors and really tasty a la mode. There's a playground for kids, a big beer garden, live music several days a week. My only complaint is I don't live closer. This is absolutely worth the drive from Columbus. I think it would be a really gorgeous spot to watch a football game too (if they do that? Not sure but if they're reading this, you should!) Can't wait to go back. I feel terrible that I've neglected this spot since they changed their name and owners. But Bellawood kept all of the best parts of Blystone and proceeded to make it even better! I stopped in to get a pizza to go on a Friday evening, it was after 8:30pm so the restaurant was already dying down for the night. I definitely hope they were busier earlier as they had a ton of staff working. Now that all of the animals are gone from the property, the patio is dog friendly! Not sure if that will change in the future, but I hope not. I was able to enjoy a drink on the patio with my dog while I waited for my pizza. I'm really excited for their beer garden to be ready, Canal doesn't have anything like this, so we're lucky to have Bellawood now! The pizza was fantastic! read more

I put 4 stars because about 15 minutes after we cashed out, the manager came over and asked us to leave because they had someone waiting for a table. I get you want quick turnover/more customer traffic as I've served for 10 years now. However, it doesn't make sense (in my opinion) to book live music and expect people to not want to stay. Personally, I don't drink so there wasn't anything else for me to order after dinner or I'd have kept an open tab! The live music was great and not overly loud (this I really appreciate). We've been here twice now--once for dinner and once for brunch--and both experiences were outstanding. The pizza was fabulous and made to perfection, and brunch was equally delicious. The farm itself is gorgeous and well maintained, the restaurant was adorable and the food was amazing! We ordered bruschetta and rustic potatoes as an appetizer- both were delicious! The table entrees ranged from the chicken mac and cheese, smash burger, sirloins and strip steaks - everyone's meals came out beautifully and all were delicious! The drinks were also very good, from their summer menu to their wines! We finished dinner off with a slice of oreo cheesecake and chocolate martini. EVERYTHING was amazing from the food, drinks, atmosphere, etc. Our server was very attentive and kind, we had a great time at Bellawood!
