There was a worker named Tyler he was "helping" me, my grandma and sister and the frozen shrimp was on sale the worker took 10 minutes to come help us and then he said it wasn't on sale and then my grandma went to go put it back and check if it was on sale and she said as she was walking away "this store" and Tyler mocked her and went "This store" and then laughed at her and didn't even apologize until we told her. We asked for the manager and we waited 7 whole minutes when we could've been going on with our day and we were done waiting for something that wouldn't even matter read more

I bought a birthday cake for my grandson,they usually do a great job on their cakes. This was the first bad one, it was dry, tasteless, and the icing seemed to be separating in spots. Not sure I'll be using their bakery in the future. read more

Just moved to Ohio and needed to stock my fridge. My first visit to Giant Eagle was a great success. The store seemed overwhelming at first but the staff were quick to guide me through the store. At checkout Mistie told me about the rewards program and suggested I visit the guest service desk and sign up. Mistie gave me a courtesy card to get me any discount a rewards member would receive today. She went out of her way to pack my groceries snd retrieve a larger basket. I will do future shopping at Giant Eagle read more

My husband pre ordered a cassata cake for me for mother's day. First, it was beautiful. There were strawberries and custard inside as should be expected. And the strawberries piled on top looked amazing. But what a huge disappointment the frosting was. Rather than the light whipped cream I was looking forward to, it was frosted in some sort of disgustingly sweet buttercream, which is exactly why I don't eat most cakes. Ugh. Super bummer. I told him after he told me he ordered it that he should have gone to Rito's or Great Scott's, but it was too late. Figured I'd give it a chance. Never again. Cassata cake should have a whipped cream frosting. At least the inside of the cake was good. read more

This is a follow up from yesterday regarding Giant Eagle not having sale items. I spoke with one of the meat guys he literally said that the chicken thighs that were on sale thru Wed. Pretty much never came in or were such a small number they were gone the first day. BUYER BEWARE. They just want our money don't care about us. read more

For a Giant Eggle the Medina outpost is a pretty good one. They have an ample dessert selection - especially the frozen dessert persuasion. It made Carl Mikeson happy at least.. The main reason why I love the Eggle so much is the fuel perks. If you haven't heard about fuel perks yet - its ok - they're new. It's when you spend $50 at the Eggle then you get 10 cent off gas at Eggle gas stations. It works for all purchases, including gift cards to various nationwide merchants, so really one could make all their purchases for everything at Eggle - food, dining out, furniture, clothing, travel, etc - then go get gas, which in turns provides you with money off food (food perks!) Which keeps you coming back - in a circle. Bam! Self sustaining economy. Seems like a certain pub in Philly can take a page from Giant Eagle (and Dave and Busters). read more

Giant Eagle also offers a program called Eagles Nest for your little kids with well train employes and staff to watch and keep your kids entertained why you shop. From friendly staff, to great prices Your Medina Giant Eagle offeres a lot of great offiers. They also have some of the best Lot staff that is hard at work No matter Hot, Cold rainy snow, or cold tempetures they are always hard at work to make sure everyone is safe in and out and through out the store but also making sure you have the most wonderful and best shopping experience that you have ever had that will have you come back every day. read more

While the store and its employees are usually very good at what they do, this review is related to their recent outsourcing of their delivery to SHIPT. In the past, their employees were very professional with professional equipment and many times you got the same delivery drivers. Most of these the time these employees were familiar with your place and where you like to have the deliveries go. Now with SHIPT, I get whatever yahoo wants to earn some extra money in their car. My only experience with this new service included an elderly couple delivering. I have no issue with this other than they looked like they were struggling at times to carry the loads. The car or the people had an off odor similar to mildew and/or stale smoke. Either way it was off putting. Please Giant Eagle go back to your own deliveries. If I want random people delivering my groceries, I'll buy the cheaper groceries at ALDI's who uses instacart. (PS, I tried them once and had a similar experience and came back to you because of the professionalism) read more

I have recently moved to the area and this has been my go to grocery store. Today, however, I had a cashier named Alex. I'm always friendly and try to have a conversation. So, I started off with a "hi, how are you?" He responds with "I'd rather not be here." I'm sorry, but if you're that miserable, then leave and find another job! At least hide it and have a conversation with the customers...that is part of your job. If you don't have the basic customer service skills, then that's an issue. Biggest complaint is the lack of small carts. There are NEVER any there regardless of day or time. Where did they go? Second, why can't I scan my card from app at the self checkout? Can we at least get the option to enter our phone number to pull up our account? This option is available at other retail establishments. Why is the card even necessary? We should have the option to use this "feature" without our card when in a hurry. At least 50% of the time the self checkouts error which is frustrating and defeats the attempt to be in and out quickly. Third, why can't I have the option to use my fuel perks multiple times to get my allowable 30 gallons? Why should those of us who choose to drive more fuel efficient cars be penalized? Are we less of a customer because we don't drive a Hummer? I don't want 20 gallons of gas sitting in my garage. Google Giant Eagle....you made the list of the 15 worst supermarkets. read more
