Shame on giant eagle this location they said as of September they no longer sell ground poppyseed out of the bakery department,,, we have purchased it there around the holidays for years with no problems, thank you Heinen's in Middleburg Heights. They were more than happy to sell the product with all the competition. Giant eagle may want to get their act together. One of your employees, Nicole, is one of the most rudest of all employees at the Snow Rd. location. I was having a problem with the self-checkout, I tried to get her attention, she screamed at me with all her might, "I'LL BE RIGHT OVER IN A MINUTE!!! OKAY?!?" And after paying for my items a minute later, I saw her rolling her eyes at me as I was heading out the door to get to my car. This woman has no business being in customer service at all whatsoever, I know many people who had problems with Nicole. read more

Kudos to Brian, who brings back the shopping carts. I've seen him several times when I shop and he ALWAYS says hi and wishes all you a great day...and not only to me but I've noticed that he says that to everyone. I order cakes from Giant Eagle Snow and Broadview all the time... the service in the bakery has been really slow and they get confused easy . I ordered a 1/4 sheet white almond cake for my daughter's birthday. It was so dry Noone liked it at all. Very disappointed. Prices went up these cakes are not cheap. read more

I just went to this store, which unfortunately is the closest to my new house, to get dinner for a last minute dinner with friends. I was waiting for the butcher to get some steaks. He was standing to the side and looked at me a few times but never came over. I stood there and along the sudden he yelled wait F$!@ Face. I was stunned. A manager walked by and I told her what happened. The butcher came over and said I called you Asshole. Not the other word. I asked why and he said, that's who I am. WHAT???? What a strange place. This place is just starting to tire me shopping there. Everything is just super store stock selections of basic fresh food choices. Here's my store rankings for grocery chains. #1 Heinens, Whole Foods, Market District, Dave's, Marc's, then Giant Eagle. Yes Marc's actually has although smaller, a better creative food selection and 30% less pricing than Giant Eagle. I realistically can't find myself going to Giant Eagle anymore. read more

Why oh why does Giant Eagle refuse to have a sufficient number of lanes open? Oh yeah, greed. Plan on a long wait. This location is probably the best laid out of the Giant Eagles I have been to. That's about the only plus. The staff at the customer service desk are rude. I have yet to go to any Giant Eagle and have an employee ask if I needed any help or even given me a genuine smile. Why? I stood next to an employee in an aisle just to see if he would offer help and nada. This location offers some ethnic foods that are appropriate for the area, such as spaetzles and pierogies. I still can not figure out why their meat department is so expensive, especially considering there are butcher shops all over Parma that are consistently higher quality and, wait for it, $2-3 per pound cheaper! read more

I usually will shop at other places to save money, but sometimes I'll stop at this location because it's convenient and close to home. The store is organized and items are easy to find as the store has an excellent layout. Everything is clean and the aisles are neat and tidy. The customer service at this location is better than their other stores I have frequented. My only knock is they need to carry more local beers, fresher fruits and veggies that actually last more than a few days...when I can I try to get these items cheaper and of better quality from Chuppa's (shout-out #1) or the Westside Market (shout-out #2). read more

This GE is an Absolute joke! A few Thanksgivings ago I bought a turkey from GE. I let it defrost in my fridge for 3 days, when I went to cut the top open on Wednesday I could tell immediately it was off! I ran it up to this GE just to exchange it! The lady at customer service looked confused, even though she has worked there for as long as I can remember, another lady comes out (whom I have seen in here several times and has no personality what so ever) from a mysterious room in the back like she was waiting for me to arrive, she asks me where I bought it, it was clearly still in a GE bag and in the original GE package, plus I had the tag in my hand. She tells me that she has to look through their receipts to prove I bought there. Well as I stand there waiting at the counter nasty turkey juice is just dripping all over. She comes back and tells me I didn't buy it there so they can't exchange it!! I leave this nasty turkey on their counter as it's dripping all over the floor and under their computer, I wasn't putting this thing back in my car!! I head over to the GE at Parmatown, as I'm explaining to the manager what happened, he stops me mid sentence and tells me to go get myself a new turkey. Seriously the idiots at this GE couldn't just let me get a new $12 turkey?? I have shopped at this store for years! I'm so glad they opened the one at Parmatown because it's like night and day! You can tell the staff who have been working here forever are miserable people! They never smile at you, they never make small talk at the register. You can clearly tell they hate their job! I have seen several of these employees outside of their jobs and they just look like miserable people. I only stop at this place to run in the bank! I cringe when I even have to go in this store!! read more

All self checks closed and x2 real checkouts open, one problem they didn't turn off the self checks just the open lights so someone tried to use one and it worked he almost got done scanning his 3 items before getting yelled at, distracted clerks running around the store 2 hours till close and they were acting they were closing in 5 minutes and the giant line of customers were treated like intruders. read more

I stopped shopping at this location for awhile. I'm in the middle between this location and Biddolph, which has liquor and more of a beer selection. This location hands down has the quicker check out right now. I like the cashiers at both locations; Snow Rd. just had more aisle open! The beer selection has improved also. read more

They now do not take printable qpons at self checkout. I do not scam or use many and they treated me like a criminal for one 75cent coupon for an organic juice product...really? Common sense should play in somewhere. After reading the new policy it seems that they accept at full serve. Why not direct me there? I phoned in my refill on 10/8/2015. I attempted to pick it up on 10/10/15, only to be told it wasn't available. I was told that I 1) ordered to early, which I told them I did not. 2) I was told there was none available in stick, and to return on Monday. I returned on Monday 10/12/15 only to be told again that it was filled. I was told that they were SORRY, and they would fill it while I waited. I was then told by the Pharmacy manager that they had LOST my refill. I told the manager that I doubted his sincerity, or my refill would have been taken care of on Saturday, when they LOST my refill. I am never using GE pharmacy. They are idiots-do not use them. read more
