Three words: Beer and Wine!! This is the only Giant in PG County that sells beer and wine! I stopped through for a quick food pickup and was shocked to see alcohol sales - who knew this was hiding from me for so long? Their selection and prices were very fair; saves me a trip to the liquor store to have these options here. The Giant store is pretty standard after the shock and awe of beer and wine sales. It's pretty conveniently located near my girlfriend's new apartment complex so I bet I'll be stopping through often to pickup last minute cooking needs. read more

Customer service at this store is nonexistent. I have never seen staff work so hard to not speak to customers. It's unfortunate because the store is well stocked and large. However, it's unacceptable to walk past multiple staff, especially the customer service manager that can't even say good morning. read more

I was looking for a quick lunch . I found an egg salad sandwich, potato chips, and a Starbucks cold drink. The sandwich was surprisingly good. Don't underestimate Giant. The cashier was ready for the holiday rush . I got out very quickly. Only complaint why doesn't Giant sell hot coffee? read more

They need more workers on the register!! Self check out lady or sir whatever they go by was soooooo pressed I was over like 1 item for self checkout she/he was like u over u have to go in the line . Mind you the lines was longs and customers had a rack of items compared to me . She couldn't let me slide with 1 small item. Their meats look like trash never enough options. It's only about ten minutes from my house. Has lots of things I cannot find in the grocery stores that are even nearer to me. I have been a regular at the Pharmacy for years. The pharmacists and staff are always helpful, ready to answer any questions, and some know me by name. I recommend them. read more

I don't normally frequent this Giant unless I'm In the area. There is plenty of parking and the Giant is in a decent location, however, they are always crowded. They also need to have more checkout lanes open. They really need to expand on their produce section. I couldn't believe I couldn't fine Zucchini in the entire store! Do people not eat Zucchini?! Ok, maybe not very many but still it is a grocery store right? I couldn't even find anyone to assist me either! Enough about my Zucchini rant. Now onto the limited amount of cashiers! They do have self checkout but they only had a few open and besides, I don't like to use it when I have over a certain amount of grocery. I shop here quite frequently and I have to say that I really like this Giant. Despite the fact that it serves a majority-minority community, this place is well-stocked, very clean, and always organized. Typically in such places, that isn't the norm. Lines might look "long" but they go by really quickly. They also have about 5+ self checkout lanes so it's really easy going in and out of here...unless you're behind one of those people who have 50+ items and think it's bright idea to go through self-checkout...those people suck. Otherwise, this is your typical clean Giant grocery store. SN: Never had a problem with customer service here. Actually, I feel like they have more workers on duty than they actually need, so you can always find an employee to help you if you need them. I thought it was going to be a fast and speedy checkout since I only had 2 items but since I needed some baby formula I had to go to one of the cashiers. Cashier under the name of Toni was very rude. First I came up to the register and didn't see anyone or any products on the register. I greeted her, but she did not answer back. I thought she did not hear me because of the mask but then another customer came behind me and cut me off and Toni started to ring him up. okay I get it, maybe he was in line before I was but at least Toni should have let me know but she never did. Anyways, I got my items, payed for it and thanked her to which she did not answer again. Very poor communication. She did not speak at all during the whole transaction. read more

We go out of our way to shop at this Giant. The employees are always very pleasant. We have never met an unfriendly employee. Much more pleasant than shopping at the Hyattsville Giant which is much closer to us. Keep up the good work #0315 Giant. read more

I have been in this area since 1992. I've seen this store change a lot. ! Three months ago I purchased lunch meat and didn't notice it had been opened until three days later when I went to make a sandwich. I purchased eggs that were bad around July! The good fruit is on the salad bar and prepackaged at a high price. They must take the good fruit out first and put the rest for us to pick through. Last week I was picking over the white grapes and none looked great. The nice young man working that section offered to get me fresh ones from the rear of the store and he did. I was pleased, until I got home and took them out to clean them. They had mold on them. I had $7.50 worth of worthless grapes! I was too disgusted to take them back! I'm done with this Giant! One of the worst Giant store. Poor customer service and manager is also very rude. I will Never shop there, double check everything you buy in this store. I had to return due to food being spoiled. We live in the Bethany Beach, DE area and I am so use to Safeway and Giant but unfortunately to get to Safeway one must go towards Rehoboth Beach thus leaving us only this Giant. Prices are high and errors at check out are significant. We are in the process of going back to the store now for how they over charged us and/or made mistakes at check out for our prices. It seems Giant Food believes if you live at the beach one must be wealthy, thus their prices are extremely high. The prices are much higher versus the Ellicott City, MD area we came from. We need another grocer to come to the market to make things more competitive. Perhaps we will drop a note to Publix. They are use to serving beach communities. read more

I have been shopping at this giant for the better part of about fifteen years, way before it was remodeled and there are very few bad things I can say about this particular giant, the manager that is there now runs a nice tight ship, the store is always clean and we'll stocked, I shop there 95% early in the day, the front end employees are the best ever and toni, ms. T, and the other day cashiers are fabulous, and I can't forget miss Mary and miss Becky AKA Superwoman, those are your very best employees hands down! It's been about 2 yrs since my last review and we're still at 2 stars. Me and this Giant's deli don't get along lol. On my last visit, I drifted past the deli, saw how long the line was and decided to shop a little and circle back. Upon my return I see that only one person had been serviced. The guy working the deli was going super slow (no exaggeration). He was spraying the slicer, wiping it down with paper towels. Then he informed us that he would would be back because he needed more paper towels. Based on my last review (at least I can say that the slicer was cleaned). But nontheless, I ended up having to go without my deli meat after that 15 minute wait. One thing I do love about this location is that they have a beer and wine section! read more

I have shopped at this store 3 times over 6-month period and all cashiers that I have dealt with were extremely rude. They don't say Hello or Thank you. Even when I said Thank you, one cashier grinned at me like I shouldn't be shopping there and making her work. Their fruits and veggies are terrible, I had to go somewhere else.
