Summit Square, Langhorne Every week I'm over charged. Items on sale are not coded in the system to be reflected upon checkout. This store is God awful. The only reason I continue to go is for convenience but my patience is wearing thin. This week it was multiple items that were on sale that didn't get discounted. This store has shown a huge decline in the quality of the products it carries. As well as what's even available. Hardly ever do we get a complete shopping list of groceries because regularly the stock is not there. I'm talking about produce mostly but have seen many other items consistently out of stock. When the items are in stock the quality is terrible with rotten vegetables, or moldy food. It's terrible to have such a poor experience here since the competition is fierce with many other grocery stores near by and another opening soon. Get it together giant. read more

I only shop at Giant if I am passing by. I don't have any complaints but it not my preferred grocer. Its location is convenient, the store is clean and bright, they always have decent selection and they are happy to give you a rain check if they are out of your discounted item. I will continue to shop at Giant for the reasons mentioned above. read more

Associates not friendly, and get annoyed if they need to make an extra effort to help their customers. Manager Sean Horton is very rude, not helpful. His manners are very poor. He couldn't help me at all, I waited for 2.5 hours to get resolution !!! This person must be fired for being so rude to the customers. How a person without good manners be even a manager? Learn how to treat customers with respect! Cannot recommend this store to anybody. Such a shame! With these ratings and poor customer service, this Giant will be out of business soon! read more

No idea what is happening to Giant in Doylestown, PA at Cross Keys Plaza, but things are going from bad to worse. I say this because one cannot find things and food I was looking for. I just asked a cashier to give me a change of $20.00 for the cash back received once I paid for my merchandise. I was told they cannot do that, as people bring in fake money. Hey, I just got this money from your dispenser , so what was the issue? Because of my accent, I was told I do not understand, like I'm stupid or something, then she made some unsavory comments. Well, I am not going to the supermarket to get bad treatment. It's a shame, as I always liked to shop at Giant supermarket, but I guess they need to learn how to treat their customers. I don't normally go to the Summit Giant but just got back from that store and other than a few people, including the very nice person at the self checkout and one guy stocking shelves, most employees are rude. went to the CS desk to ask a simple question and the person there was just plain rude. I think she had to come fill in while the person assigned was on break but wow not customer service oriented at all. Another employee answered an elderly man's question rudely as well and then they talked about him after he left. I'll continue to go to the Flowers Mills store from now on. read more

Employees here are extremely rude. I was a little early to pick up my online order because I got a text saying it was ready (so obviously I assumed...it was ready). Well the employee on the phone when I called to tell them I was there was SO incredibly rude to me. Don't send me a text saying my order is ready and then chew me out because I get there a half hour early!!! I will use Acme order pickup from now on. I've had other experiences with rude employees at giant and it's just not worth it. read more

I have lived here since Before this location was even a GIANT and this location is bad. The employees are the worst except for a few stand-out good people. I'm even harassed regularly there by one employee every chance she gets, depending on whether her psych meds are working or not I guess. haha. read more

If you're lucky, you get one of the cashiers that move you along. If not, you get stuck for half an hour. Use the self serve check out when you can. They don't carry some things you'd expect them too. No fig preserves (go to Redners), no Laughing Cow cream cheese. No Better Than Peanut Butter low sodium. I waited 10 minutes...watching 4 people behind the deli counter. I had the next number to be called. I asked...after waiting a number of minutes if I HAD to use kiosk or could I simply order there. They said you have to take a number. I told them I already did. They said, we're busy...we'll be there soon. I then asked if they had called any numbers and I was told "we've called all sorts of numbers. We'll, that was it. I left the store and I won't be back. I have shipped at Giant for years and have noticed the service deteriorating over years...not months. This is the Lionville, PA store. I hope someone in Giant management reads this!!!! read more

This review is for their premade shepherds pie which is basically two piles of mashed potatoes over some lumpy brown liquid that I'm not sure even has meat in it. I am sure, however, that prison food tastes better. The absolute nastiest tasting shepherds pie EVER. read more

Meh. The staff is cranky, but that seems to be the case in every Newtown grocery store. Deli staff skipped my # the last two times. Avocados are expensive & usually too ripe to buy. There's rarely carrot juice. I couldn't find a marcona almond in there if you offered me $2mm for one. One of the lobsters was bullying the hell out of the others in the tank. This is not a review on the prices or people that work there. The people are great the prices average. This is a review on the pre-made food they sell. Whatever you do avoid their "shepherds pie" It was disgusting and what I imagine prison food is like. It was brown soupy mixture that might have had some kind of meat mixed with a couple of kernels of corn topped by two piles of mashed potatoes. I was in self check out yesterday afternoon. Had an issue scanning my large 35 bottle waters. Three of them.. The girl who was working self checkout was young. Heard her name was Sarah and I must say.. she had to be the rudest individual I have ever encountered at this location. Deli constantly has 3 or 4 people waiting on kiosk driven orders while people wait in front of the counter for 15, 20 minutes or longer without being acknowledged. One time a couple of months ago, there was no less than 10 people waiting while no one behind the counter waited on nobody out front of the counter. They really do not care. Complained to the store manager Lisa today and all she did was walk away. Besides prices being higher in this store than Feasterville or Southampton, cant figure out why anyone would want to shop here. read more

Although I live in Richboro, I was near the Oxford Valley Mall shopping so I figured I'd run into the Giant on my way home just to the deli department. What a nightmare. There were two older women working (if you want to call it that) and I thought I was being punked. They were in "slow motion" and I looked at the customer standing behind me and we both rolled our eyes in disbelief. One seemed like she was being trained and asking questions. The taller heavier set woman with white hair was just chit chatting with another coworker while a few of us were still standing and waiting for help. I finally asked her if she could get someone additional to help because I was standing waiting for 15 minutes for one pound of ham. She said no I cannot! I couldn't believe the unprofessional attitude and how Giant could be so desperate to hire people not willing to work. I then spoke to my best friend who lives locally and knew exactly who I was talking about! People go to McCafferty's where customer service is top notch! read more

What a horrible experience at this store. I'm greeted at the deli by a guy who says it's a minimum of a twenty-five minute wait as he was backed up seven to eight customers deep. There was only one other person waiting at the deli . Then I proceeded over to order my deli on the screen. I can't add New Yorker American cheese to my order because its not available on the screen. I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter real quick. He tells me it's on the prepackaged meats and cheeses area. It wasn't there. I leave the deli. Checking out, I tried purchasing toilet paper on sale 2 for $10. It took three people to figure out the price as it wasn't working at the register. I waited approximately 10 minutes for this issue to be resolved. A complete mess here. The management and employees need better training as well as more employees behind the deli counter. Now I have to go to Acme to purchase my deli. My advice, stay away from this store. read more

Produce section 3.75 stars. It's not Whole Foods folks Rotisserie chicken 1 star Undercooked! Gross and not cleaned properly. Buried it in the backyard. They offered a refund so that gets a star. Never again. Healthy food aisle 4 stars. Dairy 4 stars Frozen 4 stars Meat 3 stars lots of offsite prepackaged meats, but the 2 steaks in a heart shaped package was cute for Valentine's Day. This store has always been my store because of both proximity and low prices. However, there is a point at which the money saved isn't worth the aggravation. Many of them ( I'm sure union as if not they would be fired) employees are unfriendly, to say the least. The deli wait is always long and this is where the blank emotionless expression on their face tells how much they hate their jobs. I had to stop buying fish there as the fish are so dried out the color is extremely unappealing. Like everywhere there are so truly nice and friendly people that work here, just not enough to balance the people that should get a different job as they are not good at their current one. read more

They never have the selection of yogurt I want when it's on sale. I went in to get 10 for 10 yogurt. When I went up to the register to pay I was overcharged, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager ran back and checked the sale price. She said it was on select varieties when the circular clearly stated ALL varieties. She then preceded to argue with me. The new scanners stink!!! Constant problems with them. Very frustrating. If the shopper shops there, then scans their own order and checks out, get user friendly scanners and give those of us that shop and do the job of checking out a discount. Congrats... you made my one star list! This is relatively rare. I try to be partial and understanding of businesses and their operations. I do try to give the most fair review that I possibly can... but rarely.. do I ever come across the feeling that a place should be given one star. This would be 3 stars but then they had to go and change their hours from 24/7 to 6am-12am. This was the one thing that made this store stand out above McCaffrey's and Acme. Acme at least has an in store pharmacy. This particular Giant.. they had a 24/7 operation..and they had to go change it. I suppose the thinking is "well hey those customers will drive to Bensalem store which is 24/7..", actually, I was told this by a employee after I noticed the sign mentioning the hours and I mumbled a curse word or two, "hey Bensalem is 24/7!" "So is Wegmans in Warrington, which is a better store overall and about the same distance driving wise." The reply was simply ignored as the employee knew as the store should know..as the company should know.. Wegmans 24/7 in Warrington out beats Bensalem any day of the year., The products at this Giant are slightly above Acme quality besides the bread. The bread at Acme is better. Giant at least carries some nifty niche items like odd ball ice creams and what not. But overall though.. none of this matters. None of it. Not a single positive thing that can be mentioned about Giant matters because during normal hours of operation I'm going to McCaffrey's whom are far better than Giant. The only plus side this Giant had was it's 24/7 HOURS!!! So that's that. You lost a customer as when meant with the Bensalem option at 2am or 3am.. I will simply go to Warrington instead. Recommendations: go back to 24/7. Until then.. there is no reason for me to shop here. read more

I believe this store is deceptive in the way they display special sale items. Be VERY careful and ALWAYS check your receipts. I have to return almost every shopping trip b/c of being overcharged for something. If it wasn't so convenient, I would never go back. E-V-E-R. PS to the store manager: I'm the concerned shopper who had to tell your cashiers TWICE about the mold issue ( visible only to shoppers ) at the deli counter before it was resolved. read more

This store is my closest local grocery store and is a huge disappointment. My biggest complaints are it being overpriced and either being out of stock or not carrying common items. Non-sale prices can be upwards of 20% more than a Shop Rite close by. While sale prices can be good on occasion, even these are higher than the sale prices at other markets. Meat we have purchased and brought home has on occassion gone bad much more quickly than expected. We've also had two separate instances when pork tenderloins we brought home started to buld up air inside the vacuum packaging indicating possible contamination. Milk cartons consistently have spilled milk on them. The bakery does not make anything I would consider top quality, although their cakes are passable. Overall, I am highly disappointed in my local Giant. read more

This is a miserable place. I came in yesterday for the second time in my life. Last time was during hurricane Sandy, when I needed one item and this was the only store with power. Anyhow, I was in the store for 20 minutes yesterday. Within that 20 minutes, I encountered nothing but rude, miserable employees. Between the cart boy, the produce guy, and the cashier, everyone was miserable. I am always upbeat and friendly to workers in places I shop. I worked for 4 years as a supermarket cashier. I know not all shoppers are friendly and it probably makes for a little sunshine in their day to have someone be kind to you. Between all 3 of them, not ONE of them even acknowledged me when I said "Hi, how are you today?". The cart boy didn't even look up. The only good thing I can say about this store is that their bakery was really good. The muffins I bought are delicious and everything I saw looked great. At checkout, the line was wrapped around the front end with hardly any cashiers on duty. It was dinner time rush, completely ridiculous. The only time I'd ever consider returning to this store would be for a bakery item. The friendly employees at McCaffreys and Acme in Newtown are more my style. Also, even though it's just up the road from these Newtown stores, I've noticed that this store tends to attract a less savory customer base. Be forewarned. read more
