A disaster! Driver refused to deliver the order to the house. Driver left without delivering the order. A call to Customer Service where I was greeted with big time attitude. I demanded to speak with a manager, twice. On hold both times for 30 minutes. Manager refused to come to the phone. After this humiliating experience, I told the operator that if my order was not delivered by 10am Friday, 1/6/23, I was going to call my bank and have the entire charge reversed; to which she responded, "Go ahead and you have a great evening," in her sarcastic nasty attitude. You know, after 10+ years of being a customer, you aren't the only food delivery in town. So, with that said, I've contacted my bank and all is squared away. This is the perfect store right outside of Phill if you need any kind of drink with sugar. Due to Phillys soda tax a two litter is almost $5.00! And for someone like me who entertains a-lot I will never ever pay for that tax! I do find that they do have decent deals and if you have a store card you can earn gas rewards. read more

I like going to Giant for their prices and selections. This store is a little bigger than Shop Rite and Acme so the aisles aren't as crowded. I also like to accumulate the points for gas rewards though I wish they would put a gas station at this Giant. Most of the employees are friendly and kind but seems like Giant likes to hire lots of teens/people who don't seem to care. The bathroom is always dirty, the shelves are a mess. I often find expired items. The lines for checkout are always long even though Giant guarantees the 4th person will get free groceries. Tried to talk to the store manager (Rob, I think his name was?) once about it and he just blew me off. Overall, for this area, Giant's an ok place to shop especially if you're trying to avoid that Philly soda tax. They sell beer and wine here so that's convenient. read more

This store caters to on line shoppers. This morning there were about 15 employees that were working but not one cashier. Multiple employees in customer service, most were filling on line orders and one employee stood there waiting in case people had trouble with self check out. I will never understand why the prices or everything increases yet customer service declines. After shopping I have to ring up my own order then bag my own groceries. The store is not paying for cashiers instead they are paying employees to fill online orders with surcharges (making more money). I sometimes wonder if they get a commission on filling on-line orders because they rush around the store and almost take customers out with their rolling carts. They are not courteous or give shopping customers room to shop, they treat you like you are in their way. Don't even get me started on that useless robot that gets in your way. What a waste of money. Maybe they can get the robot to work a register. The positives are the store is usually fully stocked and clean. If you use the app and take advantage of the apps the prices aren't bad. gentleman in produce is alway pleasant and helpful. read more

I started going here after Shop Rite on Morrell/ Frankford declined to give me the free turkey a day late despite spending hundreds there each week for years and never requesting an exception. Well, that worked out for the better because this store has been everything I needed and more. Even their Giant personal shoppers get good items and:or substitutions from your shopping list when you order at home. The other store mentioned above would leave me not able to make the dinners I bought ingredients for because of lack of main ingredients, way too often. This store has so many more choices for every item you can think of. Their customer service has been outstanding, not that I've needed their assistance much. A great big GIANT grocery store. Notable for its larger than general "naturals" section, which has a little bit of everything, from milk to potato chips to a freezer section and some organic produce too. Lots of sections and places to get food. You can eat there at a little sectioned off cafe area in the middle of the store. I'd personally take it home so I can sit at my laptop and yelp about it. Yesterday was my first time visiting this store and of course, I had no membership card or phone number to enter to receive sale prices. I do not live here but had taken my elderly sister-in law grocery shopping. I asked the cashier how I could get one and she said that they were all out. The friendly customer standing behind me was not allowed to swipe her card so I could get the sale prices. They don't allow it according to the cashier. I could have saved substantial money, with prices as high as they are, I was turned off and unless visiting the area and desperate to get groceries, I doubt I'll ever go back. Not warm or helpful service. It's very competitive out there so you would think people would appreciate support from all their customers. Service like this is almost the new norm, unfortunately. You've got to spend more money for less and for cold and unwelcoming customer service. read more

During this trying time, the Giant store has been a little tyrannical to say the least. Going in one way, 6 ft apart, arrows pointing to which way you go up or down and the line to get into a line to check out. You think you might be finished but 'No way', you get told 'to your left'. A great shopping experience, NO. To add insult to injury there are still empty shelves. Last week I purchased a quart of milk dated June 2nd at a Shop Rite store so I thought I'd pick up another quart this week at the Giant store only to find the date was June 1st. Looks as if it's time to go back to Shop Rite. One more thing, they have handicap parking - it would be nice if they had handicap check-out lines. I only had 25 items but I was told to get into a line where the person in front of me had a cart that was over-flowing; no 25 or less item check-out was open. read more

Cashier had me waiting while she wipes everything down after the customer before me which didn't really bother me. I didn't have my Giant card on me and cashier couldn't give me sale prices. I went to customer service to apply for a Giant card which my phone number should have brought up my acct but didn't and the female behind the counter walked away and had me standing there waiting for her to come back. The staff is horrible at this establishment. The manager spoke down to me as if I wasn't a paying customer her name was Tonese. The lady at the register gave me an attitude about buying eggs even though there was no sign limiting. They both spoke to me as if they were doing me a favor and I wasn't paying. I have shopped at this store for 10 years but today is my last time. I think right now since we're going through this crisis if items are limited there should be signs. It should be clearly labeled. It makes no sense that I can't buy it today but I can come right back and buy it. I bought more than two of other items and she rung it up with no issues. I did not pick up water or any paper products but I did pick up 4 cartons of eggs. I usually buy at Sam's club and those cartons are bigger. since they said I or my husband could not buy I asked if my brother-in-law could buy the two cartons of eggs they told me that they would not sell it. Where was all this when paper products was flying off the shelves? They think that just because they're behind a cash register that they have some power. But they should remember that once this is over if people stop shopping there they will close. There are plenty of other stores in the neighborhood. ShopRite and Acme is labeled!! If you acknowledge it's not going to be walmart prices, this is a great grocery chain! Have an very large selection of organic products (which they segregate all in one area to your left as you walk in). Makes it easy to know where to look for those hard-to-find items. Rest of the store has a good selection and the store branded products are both cheap and high quality. The fresh meats and seafood in the back are drool-worthy and my wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the steaks we've gotten from here. Probably the best perk, though, is that you get 5% off for every $300 you spend (which is actually pretty quick). That adds up! read more

When I moved to Bensalem from Orlando, I was really hoping to find a grocery store chain like my much beloved Publix. You see, Publix had an absolutely killer bakery and overall a really nice selection of foods (both ready-to-eat and groceries). I had really hoped that Giant would be my Publix replacement. Unfortunately, the Bensalem Giant is always disappointing me. Their bakery is really good, but they have a horrible time keeping it stocked properly. Every time I go in there, there are baskets full of whole wheat and egg bagels. The plain bagel basket is empty, whether it's 6pm on a Tuesday, or 10am on a Saturday. I just can't figure out what the problem is. I have actually brought it to a manager's attention more than a few times. If you are throwing out two types of bagels at the end of every night, but always running out of another, logic would dictate you should change the quantities a bit. This has also happened with a particular variety of Indian flat bread I like to buy there. Sometimes they've had dozens of packages, sometimes none for weeks on end. It's maddening. I'm always afraid to fall in love with one of their bakery items. But I can't complain too much. The store is clean. They have some decent sales. The produce and meat have usually been fresh (with the exception of the lettuce, which seems to be a regular problem for me). I really just wish they'd fix that darn bakery. read more

I stopped in here over the weekend for a quick late night dessert. I got up their baked goods section and was surprised by their large selection. There was so many choices, I sat there for 10-15 minutes trying to decide what to take home. I walked away with two single sized prizes-one and one . Both were delish! Wow, it's finally come to this....I'm reviewing a supermarket. If I'm going to review a supermarket, this is the one and only deserved of the effort. I've lived all over the area, I've frequented many different supermarkets. I have never found one single supermarket I like better than this Giant location. You go to other supermarkets and they're either cramped or they're "cliquey" catering to or attracting particular groups. Often they don't stock what you're looking for and the staff can be surly, ghastly and incompetent. Some other supermarkets do a real good job, don't get me wrong. I enjoy many things about Whole Foods. Although not in our area, Publix is certainly in a league above other supermarkets. However, taking into consideration a range of factors such as: layout, prices, size, product selection and staff this Giant is truly unmatched. I can't believe I'm the first to reveal this here, but their peanut butter cookies are amazing. I'm talking about the store brand from the bakery. A-MAZ-ING. I know this is a bold statement, but they are quite possibly the best cookie/snack in existence. It used to take all my will not to eat the whole package in one sitting. If you've had them, you know what I'm talking about. If you like peanut butter, try them and thank me later. I want to shout this from the rooftops. I should have been Yelping about this much, much sooner. The word needs to get out. Don't change a thing about your cookies Bensalem Giant, I beg you. All of this store's other merits aside, I would come here solely for those PB cookies. No bullshit. read more

Giant advertises their produce is fresh and cheaper than most other stores. I use a great deal of produce and decided to go north, Friday January 4, 2019 and check them out. The first thing you'll notice is, they are not cheaper by any means. The second thing is, a great deal of their product is bruised (I'll give you that - customers can be rough), rotted, going bad or like with the peppers, getting black spots on them. They had no single heads of romaine lettuce - only packaged multiple heads. The clementines were going bad - most of them. Iceberg lettuce heads were turning brown as were cauliflower. After starting to place some different produce in my cart (I came a distance and didn't want it to be for nothing), I wound up putting the four things back, leaving and going back down to the Morrell Shop Rite. Again, sorry for this review guys. It would have been nice to give you five stars and a great review. Can't do it. Even if the produce had been decent, your prices are quite high. read more

I don't know why I didn't go to Giant more before, but it is quickly becoming my favorite grocery store in the area. Yes, they can be a bit pricey depending on the item, but they have good sales every week. They have a good health food section. I like having a place to go to buy kombucha without having to make a trip to Whole Foods. Although I'm disappointed that they only carry flavored kombucha and not the regular flavor. The store is clean. The prepared meals look delicious, although I have yet to try the ready made food. They are open 24 hrs! Thank the heavens Walmart isn't my only option at 3AM. As a supermarket, I sort of find this place more on the expensive side depending on the item or items you are looking for. With that said, here is my review. Giant is super clean! Its got awesome donuts epecially the frosted crossant. Make sure you go there early in the morning, they usually sell out before I get there in the evening time. Warning! They are really sweet!!! But thats a plus in my book!! Oh did I tell you they are really yummy!!!!!! The meats are really fresh and so is the seafood. Usually get the clams and salmon here for bbqs. Customer service is fantastic! Super friendly and nice, especially the customer service desk. They help you out any way they can. Give this place a try, especially the donuts! New location, major issues. First off, the parking lot is actually sloped so there is no way your cart will stand still. 2nd, it seems the only reason they decided to build a bigger location was to carry a larger inventory of the same exact products. Instead of 3 rows of a given item there are now 9 rows. The only reason I give 3 stars instead of 1 is the management staff that had been at the other closed location on bustleton for years is now at this location. They are top notch and make coming here somewhat bearable. PS, 60% of their craft beer selection is IPA's. There are so many beautiful beers in other styles, please fix this. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. They have quite a big section of natural foods, their quite pricey but I watch for sales. There meat section is pretty well stocked. They carry the chicken with no steroids and no antibiotics administered which I Prefer. Their sales are pretty good so this is my store. Always clean and the registers are pretty quick. I mostly use the self help lanes. All the cashiers are nice and helpful. read more

This is where I shop every Sunday. I can always get in, maneuver around, and get out very quickly. There really isn't too much to say aside that I really like this store. I coupon and shop for what's on sale, so I never have problems with the amount I spend here. I also generally just shop the perimeter of the store and the natural foods section (which I love that it's all in one spot). Everyone there is always pleasant, The store is clean whenever I'm there. I do enjoy that they provide local produce options. I wish there were better produce sales some weeks, but everything always looks great. I am guilty of going to elsewhere and making the occasional trips to a natural food's store or farm markets, but Giant will always be there for me. Silly me for going to Giant in Alden, PA on a Monday evening. The produce section had fruit on the floors,mixed in with dirt that looked like they hadn't cleaned since sometime early part of last week. Most of the fruit was just picked over and sorry. I can accept that, I guess, because I walked in on a Monday. But then right underneath the mushrooms a giant roach crawled across the floor. I think he might have tipped his hat at me at told me produce was the freshest, but my yelp drowned it out. I pointed it out to the giant worker and he said "Oh" and finished stocking bananas. But I didn't leave. Because the next closet supper markets (including a Giant in Lansdowne) are usually worse. To make matters worse, the rest of the store was dirty. Dirty floors, messy shelves. The diary section smelled like expired diary. I waited at customer service and asked to speak to a manager. Surprise, she wasn't available. She was working the register. Cool! I went to the register that they said she was on. And of course she wasn't there. I'm very disappointed in this Giant! The other options near me are Aldi (which I like, but doesn't have everything) and Shoprite that I don't like. Guess i'll have to try to get to Whole Check- I mean Whole Food- for fresh, Hopefully bug free, food. read more

I can't believe the prices in this store! They are expensive but that is not my main gripe. The service is the bottom of the barrel, if you don't check yourself out you don't get out of there. It is like your time doesn't matter to them. In this busy world when most couples have two people working, who wants to stand in line or check themselves out after a long day at work? Time spent in line is frustrating and uncalled for!! Service stinks, prices are high and their bakery is the pits.Pharmacy and staff on the other hand are the best, just really great!! We do our primary grocery shopping here. There is a decent sized section of natural/organic stuff compared to other large supermarket chains. However, the produce section is pretty poor. It does not offer a lot of organic produce and the non-organic produce is spotty, for some reason I have a hard time finding tomatoes that aren't smashed, dented or old. It is pretty roomy and as long as you do not go on Sunday you can typically navigate through fairly well. read more
