One of the few grocery stores in the area. Been going here all my life: reliable store, friendly staff, and nice array of products. I love their natural/organic section of the store and refillable Kombucha tap. Okay pricing but that's kinda how grocery shopping is these days. Definitely get the rewards card because my parents always have enough points to get free turkey and ham for all the different holidays! Also...there is a Starbucks inside this Giant as well! read more

Giant (aka Stop and Shop on the Jersey side) is not a very good grocery store. Giant is one of those grocers the puts you in a bad mood just by being there - a throwback to retail indifference that even before the pandemic was inexplicably out of stock on even basic items punctuated by average, overpriced produce and nondescript meats. In short, Giant is an exact replica of the Stop and Shop experience that I swore off years ago in Jersey. Giant may have been something in the 1980's when food stores were monochromatic and interchangeable - before Wegmans, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and even the execrable low price leader, Walmart, reinvented and crashed the category's moribund status quo. Giant is fine when I'm in the area and need to pick up a few things but it is light years away from being a destination store that I look forward to visiting for any reason. A Giant disappointment. read more

I love this supermarket (the Logan Square Giant in New Hope, PA) for many reasons. The wide diversity of the food they offer, the mostly very friendly and helpful staff, the convenient location. The store is pretty well run overall. The only glaring issue is the behavior of the front end staff. There are several front end staff, and I won't name specific people because we all have to pay the bills, but they've treated myself and my roommate pretty abominably when we've asked questions, put aside an item we didn't want, or encountered a problem with the self checkout machines. Behaviors ranged from being snapped at, being ordered around, eye rolling, *accusing us of lying*, and surly, disapproving attitudes when we've come to them for help. This is unacceptable behavior toward two people who've shopped at this supermarket for literal decades and who spend hundreds a month, every month in this store. The front end supervisory staff and the people who work under them really need to revamp their customer service ethics and attitudes before they drive away more good customers. These few disrespectful employees are actually making it more difficult to shop at this supermarket, rather than being considerate and professional. read more

I've lived in Solebury for almost 18 years and think our Giant store is basically okay, but have a problem with interactions with staff. They are generally rude and NEVER seem to smile; look like they don't want to be there. Maybe some customer service training? When you say hello to them they usually ignore you. I'm glad McCaffery's now offers an alternative to Giant because their prepared foods are better, but Giant generally has a larger selection of regular goods and sales on many items, so I still go there occasionally. (Note: Exception to above negative comments; Giant's Starbucks is awesome and friendly - Dave, Juliet and Bern are so friendly it makes grabbing a coffee a pleasure! ) read more

I visited this Giant store in New Hope on Feb 13, 2023. After self-checking out on their terrible self-check system, I wanted to visit the Customer Service counter. It was closed. 5:00 pm on a Monday, and the customer service counter's closed. A posted sign read to the effect of: "closed due to employee shortage". Standing right next to the counter, leaning on a grocery cart, chatting, were two experienced employees who have previously worked the counter. Ten feet away, in the exit aisle, three more employees having a gab fest. There were also two checkout employees doing nothing. They may have the lowest price point in town, but the management and customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I'll never go back to this store. read more

Really need a new grocery store close in proximity to our new home. Was scolded by a nazi woman for my children not wearing masks. I am an adult and it is not anyone's business as to why my children can or cannot wear masks. I have a child that meets age requirement to NOT wearing a mask and a medically compromised child that legitimately CANNOT wear a mask. Oh well guess I will make that drive to Wegmans instead since they do NOT harass myself or my children. Hopefully that vile woman is fired or taught customer service and about minding her own business, perhaps then I will come back. People were looking at her like she was crazy. They even said they're very small/young children and to leave me alone. Even the cashier said she thought she wasn't feeling well with the mask on. Went to buy one six-pack of beer yesterday. Was immediately greeted at the "beer garden" by an employee, Mike, who was a) not wearing a mask and b) staring me down with his hands on his hips. Got the item and went to check out. Presented my ID to "Mike" and was told that since I was under 25 (even though I am over 21 and of legal drinking age) I could not complete the transaction because my younger sister had been in the store shopping for groceries with me and she did not have an ID with her. I asked if he was kidding, and he said he wasn't. I then asked if I could come back at a later time without her, to which he said no, I could not come back to make the purchase, and that "it's over for me." Seriously? I'm not running a drug cartel, I'm buying a six-pack of Corona. The legal age to purchase alcohol is 21... last time I checked cashiers don't have the power to change that. Maybe find a hobby instead of getting off on refusing service to a law abiding young woman. "It's over for me" shopping at this store. read more

Renee the inept and rude pharmacist is a nightmare to deal with. Call ahead to find out if your script is ready? It will be ready tomorrow. Call again tomorrow to make sure it's ready? Oh, she just checked again and can't fill it until Sunday. Ask her the hours? Get a snotty remark and a whole lot of attitude. EVERY TIME. Get your ish together, Giant. Pay your people better and you get to hire competent employees. Pay people whatever you pay Renee in the pharmacy? Well, you get an inept and rude pharmacist. Worst grocery store ever. They are out of the majority of items I go to buy like seltzer, seafood, sports drinks... and they don't carry the items other giant stores do, like hash browns, onion rings, etc. and the products they do have are very limited. I really like that you can order your food online and pick it up and they just walk right out to your car, no contact. Prices are reasonable with the area. I appreciate that they sometimes have discounted "  ugly " fruits and vegetables. Clearance section had good finds. I like the premade, grab and go food section that's expanding. It's a shame this is the only big box option in the area. Seems the management just does not care about the needs of the consumer. Organic milk sells out or is not stocked. Fish department is fair at best. Cheese is a joke. Plus the checkers don't know what to do when you bring your own bag! Come on, it's 2019 and people do not like using plastic bags, educate your crew on how to use a canvas one! I have loved her 20 years and the changes are minor. Great staff! Someone is always there to help. Friendly and courteous. Well stocked and clean aisles. Pharmacy staff is also amazing. I couldn't get online appointment for my daughter after school hours. They accommodated her for both her COVID shots. 5 minute wait (plus 15 minutes after the shot to make sure you're feeling ok). I love this store, great selection of produce local organic and otherwise ! Also I always enjoy the deli section! Arthur is the best, he provides quick and pleasant service and makes sure I get my meat and cheese sliced exactly how I want it! I used to shop here way back when the store was new. It was a great store back then. I moved out of the area for almost 20 years and came back and this store is a wreck. They don't have much of a selection to begin with for the size of the store. They have a lot of empty shelves. The thing that I really hate about this place is that there is never more than one register open. There are at least 10 or more self checkout lanes now. I have no problem doing self checkout when I have a few items. It seems every time I try to checkout there is at least one item that I have to enter manually that is not in the system. There is never anyone watching over the self checkout so if there is a problem you are are on your own. I usually end up just getting frustrated and leaving the item behind on the counter. I think in the future if I can't ring it up I will just throw it on my bag. What can they do fire my from a job I did not apply for or want because I made a mistake! read more

Produce, fish and meat selections are either garbage, beyond sell date or spoiled/rotten, without fail. Deli area seems to have finally gotten the fly situation under control (disgusting), but employees refuse to slice to customer request. Will show one slice, then do as they please. The entire store has become jam packed with unnecessary displays. Aisles are consistently blocked by stock employees and their carts. It is impossible to navigate any area or aisle. Why is restocking not done overnight? Why keep adding more junk? Dairy cases reek of spoiled milk! Baggers become rude, bordering belligerent, if a customer provides shopping bags and requests no plastic. Looking forward to both new stores coming to New Hope. read more

I really like the new store. Yes, they could do better on specials but since they really have no competition in the near area, that's how it is. Some of the aisles seem a little out of sort but I am sure they are working on them. As far as being too big, I don't think so. It's not like it's a super Wegmans. I still wish they had more of an ethnic cuisine section. Also, more fresh veg or fruit that is organic. Other then that I am quite happy with this store. I had placed an order through Giant Direct to pickup groceries during his pandemic. I called just before my appointment time (I had ordered the previous day) and the very polite woman who answered the phone said my order had been cancelled. Why? Something about their system not really being able to handle requests. When I asked when I would be able to get my order she repeated that it had been cancelled. My credit card had been charged the previous day when I set things up so that wasn't it. She then gave me another number to call to reorder. Their machine stated they were not picking up the phone. DON"T OFFER A SERVICE THAT YOU CAN"T FULFILL, ESPECIALLY UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCE. This is more than an inconvenience; it adds a risk factor and delayed my getting groceries elsewhere. read more

This is the local Giant for us so we go here pretty regularly, it's moderately clean and usually pretty busy. I don't know if they are just completely overwhelmed and short staffed but most of the people working there look absolutely miserable and seem to be put off when asked for help. Shopping wise it's pretty stocked up and the prices aren't too crazy but are on the higher side. read more

Very professional and helpful staff. They have helped me when there have been glitches due to insurance problems and Doc errors. Although it's a big store, they know my name and are familiar with what my condition is and the drugs I usually order. They have way above average privacy, but could be improved, like most pharmacies. Some of us have very intimate questions and problems to ask about, but may chicken out (like me) when surrounded by other customers vying for the Pharmacists attention. But this is a problem for most pharmacies. Giant Pharmacy is a big corporate pharmacy, but the folks there do a great job of making it feel less impersonal. read more

Be careful at Giant of New Hope, PA. This store does not require facemasks nor do they reinforce social distancing in the aisles. Several multi member families were shopping, all without facemasks. When I asked a manager about a policy around facemasks, he said that the stores policy was not to approach the customer. read more

The worst supermarket I can think of. Shoprite in Flemington blows this store away. Prices here are high compared to other stores. The meat selection is expensive with fatty and misshapen cuts of meat. Selection is poor and most of the cashiers are unfriendly. The Giant in Warwick often has the same items for cheaper prices. I guess they think us "rich" folks in New Hope deserve to pay more. The store has gotten much worse since the SuperFresh has closed. I guess they figure they are the only game in town. I have been a twice weekly grocery shopper to the Giant for close to 10 years. I do try to go elsewhere for local produce if available. Lately, I have been traveling close to 30 minutes to shop at alternative locations, for the following reasons: 1. The other day a pound of Land o' Lakes unsalted butter was $6. You cannot, unless it has changed, buy non-organic scallions. The produce is now organized in a very confusing way separating organic and non organic items. Their prices have gotten to be outrageous. 2. With some minor exceptions: most of the meat and seafood staff, Elaine (love her) Regan and Matt at checkout, and the younger gentleman with brown hair and a beard in the deli.....everyone other than the staff that I just mentioned seems to have really low morale and not care. 3. The soliciting at the door has to go. I don't mind the hot dogs because it benefits local high school sports teams; however, the constant begging at the door has become cumbersome. I have complained twice, particularly since there is a young woman who I think might have slight special needs who they constantly have stationed at the front door. She is a wonderful employee and tremendous to the customers when she is restocking shelves or bagging. Why do you have her solicit money? I believe it is exploiting her and making people feel very uncomfortable. I was told twice that they often have other associates in her spot but I have never seen that with the exception of hot dog sales. read more
