Go Green has been my Go-To since 2015. Doing our part to be environmentally conscience is important to me, so that is how I stumbled upon this company. There are several other options for dry-cleaners that are closer to me, but this place is with the extra couple of miles! I have read other reviews, as I am sure you have, and there are a handful of negatives reviews that might deter you from trying them out. But let me assure you from personal experience, if there is anything you feel wrong, these guys do their best to make it right. Also they have a great seamstress/tailor in this store to take of any repairs you may need! All of the employees I have dealt with are courteous, and professional and care about the customer. I have even had the chance to meet the owner once or twice as he was checking in on his employees, and he seemed like a pretty solid guy who cares not only about his customers, but about his employees a great deal. Once you get to know the manager, and he knows you, you might start to expect some friendly banter back and forth. All in all, I give this the pilot's approval. If I could give zero stars, I would. The customer service at the counter was shockingly rude and dismissive. We're trusting you with our personal, valuable clothing.... why else would anyone go to a dry cleaner if the items didn't matter to them? There's absolutely no reason to treat customers with that level of disrespect. They didn't even want to provide a receipt. How are customers supposed to prove they left their garments there without documentation? I was rushed out and told the items would be delivered, yet no one even asked for my name or apartment number. Completely unprofessional. Unsurprisingly, my item went missing for several days. It was a $400 jacket. Thankfully it was eventually found, but that situation should have never happened in the first place. Had it not turned up, I would have taken this to small claims court. A wedding. Does this mean I have to get dressed up? Yes I did. I brought my suit and white shirt in to be dry cleaned. I hadn't worn either for two years due to COVID. I registered as a customer and they texted me when it was done. It's a lovely location in a very clean store and I believe them when they say that it's 'green". I was very happy with the cleaning and the service. The staff was professional and welcoming. I'm definitely not a high end user but I will use them for any future dry cleaning needs. read more

This is a nice little dry cleaner that is local to us. When we first moved into our building, we were given a bag from them, with the instructions that we could just use our concierge to drop off and pick up dry cleaning. It's not something we use a ton, because neither of us wears a lot of clothing that needs dry cleaning, but I've used them when Lee's shirts have gotten pen ink stains, and also for some mending. Nice people, convenient delivery, and fair prices, put I've gotten some clothing back with permanent stains. First time was just a small black mark in a discreet spot on a shirt. You be judge we drop of two high end coats and cashmere scarfs(no holes) to be cleaned and de linted. When picking up the coats we explained our dissatisfaction to a female employee. She even noticed how much lint was still on the coats and tried to de lint again. We had no time and had to catch a flight. At that time the manager Shane wasn't in the store. I called back the next day to tell him there was still tons of lint on the inside of both coats and his response was I should've told them to clean the inside. What? I continue to explains my dissatisfaction to Shane who response was if your not satisfied go to another dry cleaner. I even asked for our money back and Shane said no. Next we get ready to wear our cashmere scarfs, to only find holes in both of them. At this point I reached out to Gary (owner) never received a call back a lack of professionalism that was over a month ago. I know see why the manager was so rude. I called back again a few day later to follow up, spoke with Shane again to see why Gary the (owner) didn't call me back yet after sending him a personal email. Shane said he spoke with Gary and he knows what going on. This is my second Yelp reviews ever written the first was positive. You now have the info the choose is yours. I STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT USING THE TAILOR AT GO GREEN DRY CLEANERS. For the record - this review is is meant specifically for the tailor at Go Green Dry Cleaners. The dry cleaning service is affordable, accommodating, and efficient. I give them 5 stars. I ripped a hole in the elbow of one of my shirts. I sent the shirt in to be repaired. I received a call from the tailor to tell me that he did not have any elbow patches, and he was not willing to get them for me. I had to buy them myself. While it is incredibly strange that the tailor was not willing to find elbow patches for me, I purchased them myself and sent them in. I then received another call from the tailor, telling me that he should just make me a customer shirt. It was going to be the best fitting shirt that I've ever had. I agreed and went in for a fitting. The fitting took an hour and a half for some reason, but none the less - We finished and I placed the order. The shirts arrive 3 weeks later. THEY DON'T FIT. I cannot believe that after being measured for over an hour, the shirts still don't fit. Ok fine, I contacted the tailor to schedule a re-fitting and he told me that he was not available the next day - but I could come in the day after. Unfortunately, I was traveling for business the next day - but was willing to come in early to meet him. He was not willing to come in early to meet me. This review is ONLY for the tailor and store people at Go Green; I did not use their dry cleaning or laundry services. That being said, my experience has been SO BAD, that I will NEVER go back to Go Green for anything. TL;DR: they will promise you things repeatedly and fail to deliver; they will mansplain at you; and they will be racist. Sweet. I wanted to get the hem of 4 cotton tank tops shortened; nothing else, very simple. I called ahead for a price quote, and the tailor said $15/tank. This is obviously incredibly extravagant, and I replied, "are you kidding me?" and the tailor was incredibly scornful and rude in answering "do you even know how hard it is to work with cotton?" Uhh, last I checked, it's pretty straightforward. I just wanted to get these tanks done and I live right next to this location, so I went anyways. I show up, and the tailor says he doesn't have THE MOST BASIC machine that will put in 2 parallel lines of threads on the outside and those little loops on the inside--check what you're currently wearing: I guarantee every single seam on your shirt and pants are like this. He says he only has the machine that will put in just ONE row of stitches. What? Are you kidding me? He tells me that because of this, I can pay just $14/tank, what a steal! Are you kidding me? So this was on Saturday around 1pm. This location claims to have same-day tailoring service. I ask how much that would cost. The tailor laughs in my face and points at a few other items of clothing (they look like men's business clothes) he has hanging up his queue. There's no way he can do my tanks same day, he says. What? He says the earliest he can do them by is Wednesday end of day. Fine. I wake up early to call Thursday morning (I was going to go in before work), and the register person says my shirts aren't done yet, and that the tailor won't be back until Friday. I ask him if he can tell the tailor to finish them by Friday end of day. He says he'll say it but no guarantee they'll be done by then. I walk back in Friday at 4pm. Nobody in the store greets me. The tailor is on the phone, watching tv. I stand for 5 minutes waiting until he gets off the phone. Apparently the register guy did not tell the tailor anything. The tailor does not apologize for not having my shirts done; in fact, he blames me and claims that I had said I was out of town for the week. I had said nothing of the sort. I ask if he can finish them by 6pm. He says no guarantee. I say, "come on man, you already missed one deadline; you can't finish 2 shirts in 2 hours"? He tells me, in a highly patronizing way, that if I keep "arguing" with him, it'll take until 6:30. Really? I waited around for 5 minutes, and I had only talked to him for 2 minutes, and somehow that'll cause a 30 minute delay on his part? I'm currently sitting in a cafe nearby, on stand-by, waiting until 6pm. If they don't offer me a discount for the inconvenience, I'm going to ask to talk to the manager. This whole experience has been beyond ridiculous. I rarely say this, but in this situation, I REALLY do think the tailor treated me SO poorly because I'm a young Asian woman. I find it difficult to imagine that he would be AS condescending to, miss a deadline and not apologize to, or laugh in the face of a 35 year old white person--male or female. I find it difficult to imagine that he treats all customers like this. UPDATE: my shirts weren't finished until 6:20pm. Some other guy in the store claimed to be the manager and owner (even though this same guy said last week that the manager was off-site), and he pulled a RACIST Chinese stereotype on me, accusing me of "haggling" when I wanted a discount for being promised something THREE times and being failed THREE times. He tried to claim that (1) the price should have been $25/tank and that I had already haggled it down from 25 to 14 (false; 15 was the first number I was quoted); (2) that the tailor was already losing money for doing it at $14 (false; he just wouldn't do it then); (3) that I had tried to demand $1/shirt because I could get them done for that much in China (false; I did say I could get them done for $1 each in China, but labor is much more expensive in the US, that's a ridiculous concept). He absolutely refused to give me ANY sort of discount, and he mansplained to me that they're a "business" and can't lower prices. Apparently this guy "owns" a service business and doesn't understand the concept of "service." Or "repeat customer." Or "customer satisfaction." read more

Stopped in for dress alterations including hemming about an inch off the bottom and strap adjustment. Stopped dress off on the Friday before New Year's Eve and needed by Sunday morning. The seamstress was a sweet foreign woman and she did an excellent job adjusting my dress, but I did find the price to be very high for the adjustments made. $80, possibly because of the expedited service, but I wish I would've asked for a quote beforehand. read more

Honestly the worst seamstress ever! Obviously it's hard to mess up dry cleaning so- though it's overpriced - I get stuff dry cleaned there and it's fine. But the guy who sews stuff has like an average level of capability. He could probably hem up some pants? Maybe? He ruined a dress of mine and just simply doesn't have he skills to do anything well. He took up dress at the shoulders and left the cut material exposed (ie. It will shred) I can do that myself. Wondering, since they charge high prices they can't higher an actual experienced seamstress. Go somewhere else to get stuff altered if you care about your clothes. read more

I have been a customer for many years (since Joe was manager) and have always had a good experience. However, it wasn't until this weekend that I came to appreciate exactly how efficient, accommodating and affordable they are. My job recently informed me that we were transitioning from long sleeve uniform shirts to our short sleeve uniform shirts. When I took my short sleeve shirts out of the closet, I noticed several stains on them. I dropped my shirts off on Friday afternoon and had them back and clean as new by Monday morning before the start of my work day. I dropped off many pieces of clothing last week to be dry cleaned and when I picked them up one dress is severely DAMAGED. And the worse part is that no one notified me and I almost walked out of the store without noticing it. They were going to let me PAY for the dress and walk out of their shop without mentioning anything! When I asked the store clerk she readjusts the bill and has no explanation at all. When I ask to speak with the manager he calls me back hours later and states that my dress was like that when I dropped it off last week. I did not drop my dress off damaged and if the manager allegedly noticed it he should have called me immediately. The damage is so hard to miss. This cleaners are untrustworthy and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I recently had a terrible experience at this place and was treated with incredible disrespect by the manager (who by the way refused to give me his name). Earlier last month I needed to have a dress tailored for a wedding that I was going to. I was told the dress would be ready for pickup on the Friday before the wedding. When I picked up the dress, the tailor was no longer in the store that evening. I brought the dress home and tried it on and it was easy to tell that the dress was not tailored correctly, it fell lopsided on my shoulders and the dress was still too long - I had no choice but to rush and buy another dress to wear to the wedding. When I called to speak to the manager to ask for a refund, I was treated very disrespectfully. The manager insisted it was somehow my fault the dress was tailored incorrectly, and that I should have tried on the dress in the store when I picked it up. After lots of arguing, the manager finally agreed to have the store owner to give me a follow-up call to discuss a refund of the $90 tailoring job. I still to date have not received a follow-up call from the owner. I will never go back to this place and I suggest that you do the same. read more
