Best customer service I've ever received. I made a mistake on a drop off leading up to a wedding and was saved by the team!

I only used Go Green once and I will never go again. I brought my coat in to have it cleaned and a zipper replaced for the winter. It took them several weeks (by which part winter was well under way) and they charged me significantly more than the price quoted to me in order to get my coat back. If I had known the cost and time I would have bought a new coat instead. read more

Promised 1 day dry cleaning services and were not able to deliver as they promised. Now had to drop $500 on a suit that won't fit for an important business trip. I'd go somewhere else where they can deliver on promises. If you can't do a 1 day turnaround, that is entirely fine, just don't be misleading and claim you can. Moved into area and needed dry cleaners but this place really didn't work out, for two reasons: 1-Attitude of the person receiving my clothes when I asked for a claim ticket. She said not to worry about it to which I responded that I would need a ticket since this is my first time here. She refused to give me one. 2-They decided to dry clean three shirts that were part of my laundry on their own, charging me $10.95 per shirt instead of $2.95. I told them that I did not want these dry cleaned and they said that it was necessary. I did not agree but was in a hurry and just paid the difference. Today was was the last time I will do business with Go Green. They misquoted me on the cost of an item and then returned the item to me damaged and did not offer an compensation for the damage. I brought in a dress for dry cleaning and indicated the spots that needed cleaning. When I returned to pick up the dress I was informed that the cost was nearly twice the original amount. I was okay with the price increase; however, upon inspecting the dress I realized that it was in worst condition than when I brought it in. The damage included multiple black spots and a rip. The person I spoke to could not offer any resolution, so I came back this morning to speak to someone else. I would have understood if they were unable to clean the original spots, but to return the dress in worse condition made me lose my trust in them. 3 trips later, the only resolution offered was to refund me for the full amount charged, but no compensation was given for the damages. I picked up 21 other pieces today and will carefully inspect them, but at the end of the day, I am very sad and regret going there. read more

I've used there services in the past. My brother used them and has for almost 2 years. Recently they've been rude over the phone and take a lot longer than usual. It used to be 2-3 days turn around but now it's like a week. When he asked why he was told "it's a new driver" even though he lives 1 building over. Beyond unacceptable for a high price that we pay. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I brought in an expensive item which was damaged by the staff. On top of that the staff stole the original repair item. I spoke to the owner about the situation and he agree to write a check for less than what the item cost ; fine. When I deposit the check , the check had insufficient funds. He played me !!! Upset is not the word ! I do not recommend this cleaners at all ! Besides ! The items that were dry cleaned weren't even that great ! Smh read more

They ruined my winter jacket and the owner is refusing to call me back regarding the matter. If the item was not able to be dry cleaned, they should have indicated as such instead of trying to wash it. The item was a waxed parka and it returned to me with hardware missing (snap button broken off) and the fabric tattered / chaffed in areas. I was told by the owner that he would take the coat to the original store to see if there was a manufacturer's error on the tag (so they would not have to pay for the cost). I was told to give him a week to do so. When I did not hear back by the end of the next week, I called and was told he was not in and to leave a message. I left a message that day in both the morning, and when I did not hear back I called again in the evening. The owner still has yet to return my call and every time I call I am told that he is busy and will 'call me back maybe today'. They are still in possession of the coat. Lastly, I reached out on my own accord to the customer service representatives of the makers of the coat and was told that it would be on the Dry Cleaners to reimburse me for the coat since I dropped it off in great condition and it came back destroyed. It is not a manufacturer's flaw. Avoid this place at all costs. They will ruin your items. If the owner is reading this-- please call me back and stop avoiding your responsibilities. read more

The service is friendly, prices are great compared to the cleaners we used to use in White Plains, and, unlike the cleaners in White Plains, they have yet to shrink one of my husband's shirts! There are 2 reasons I won't give them 5 stars: 1. They don't open until 8am at this branch (Harbor Point in Stamford) - not great if you need to be at work or to the train by 8am. 2. I usually get there before 8am, and end up waiting until 8:10am (on the dot - it's amazing!) for someone to arrive and open the store. If you won't be open until 8:10am, don't advertise 8am. Better yet - open at 7:00am or 7:30am for the convenience of your customers, and hire someone who can get to work on time! read more

This cleaner sends clothing out to a tailor- I guess that should have been the first red flag. They ask for directions on what I wanted to do with my dresses at the location and did not request for me to try on the garments. The person taking the direction told me that she understood what I wanted. I came back to pick the dresses up and they were way too short. I let the person at the front desk know (the same person I gave the instructions to) and she said - Well that's what you told me. I have been waiting to hear from the owner and reached out to the company again for a solution. My options are: Pay for the work that ruined my dresses and make them unwearable for work OR leave my dresses- that I own and paid for - there- for them to toss because they messed up. At this point- I have sought out advice as to how to handle the situation and everyone has agreed that the company should be responsible for the value of the garments. The company is not even leaning towards that solution and I am currently out of an entire summer work wardrobe. I do not know what else to do. I have heard that they are a great cleaning service- but note that they have no clue as to what they are doing when it comes to tailoring. They sound fed up and impatient with me- as they hold MY property that they DESTROYED for ransom - a high price for a botched job. If I could give them negative stars for my experience I would. I called and asked how much it would cost to get a duvet and duvet cover dry cleaned and when it could be done by. They told me it would be done the next day for $30. Then I get to the location and they tell me it will take over a week. I explained what they had said on the phone and they compromised in between. When I went to pick it up, they charged me $72!!! I explained that I was told $30 and they said they must've meant just for the duvet. I told them that I listed exactly what I wanted on the phone and she said $30. Moral of the story is that the employees clearly need to be trained to learn/give the proper information. $72 and $30 are QUITE DIFFERENT. Needless to say I will not return. read more

I needed a dress strap fixed and the dress cleaned. The dress was returned still fairly dirty on the bottom and the strap was VERY poorly reattached. I could have easily done a better job myself with a thread and needle. Best part - for the cleaning and strap fix they charged almost $30. We won't be using them again. read more

My favourite shirt destroyed without so much as a call to apologise. Just sent back with a note saying defective fabric. I have owned this for long enough to know who is defective here. After complaining no joy, my defective shirt and cheap material. Something certainly is defective. Customer service is not zero here, it is negative. My husband and I complained a bunch of times about shirts and my dresses not being cleaner properly, stains were still visible on the clothing as if though it was never dry cleaned to begin with. One time my husband's shirt came back with a weird solution stains all over it so I had to go and complain until finally I couldn't take it anymore and now we use Nuway, haven't had a bad experience yet so definitely not returning to Go Green. read more

I have been nothing but satisfied by the customer service products and value of both go green locations seated within a half mile radius of my office. Their technique is unique they will you leave you on fleek. They don't use chemicals in their process does it irritate your fabrics but actually seems to nourish them. And they have roughly a half dozen employees that alternate between the Washington Boulevard and Canal Street locations. The latter being the anchor of the two. The service is friendly and attentive as to the whole staff honestly. But if you're like me and like to have more of a one on one dimension to heal her she you and trust with your irreplaceables I suggest Claire. She gets "it". She won't over promise that that red wine stain is coming out of your seersucker jacket but she'll also go to ridiculous lengths to exceed your expectations. Which she has mine again and again... in tailoring, repair work and giving your clothes the TLC you feel they deserve. read more
