You can literally see the mold on their berries, and their herbs are wilting. How do the locals accept having rotten food in the open? Yuck!

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Anywhere else really just as long as it's not here. We…read morewere informed by the owner of the pharmacy that they do not except helpful good RX coupons or any other coupons for prescriptions to help people lessen the burden that prescriptions can pose. The owner of the pharmacy knows that everyone in his community is out of work or nearly out of work because of this COVID-19 disaster and he has the out right nerve to refuse to let his customers take advantage of what little help is out there. Especially for something as important as life-saving medication. We were informed that it hurts their bottom line so they've chosen not to do it. The owner was condescending and obtuse and uncaring. He spoke to me as if I was a three-year-old child that he had to speak slowly too so I could understand. Their prices are much higher than any of the surrounding pharmacies in the area and trust me no one there is nice or kind enough to make up for the price hike. I never see anyone in the parking lot and now I know why. If you're on the fence about going here or looking for a new pharmacy to give your business to, just save yourself some heart ache. Because this "small town pharmacy for the people" doesn't seem to be all too concerned about their fellow man, much less the community in which they're SUPPOSED to serve. I mean I suppose if you like snippy pharmacists and you're a millionaire that loves to waste money then this place is for you!

They have my full recommendation!

Smithgall's is probably one of the few surviving non-chain neighborhood pharmacies. It's a typical corner store in a residential area, with beautifully restored older homes. It's the opposite of a big box chain. Smaller selection, however I saw products (Sea Breeze!) that I haven't seen in a store. This may be because the shelves are not jammed with stuff. No self checkout. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The woman at the counter answered questions with cheer, and quickly checked customers out. The prices were...reasonable. A 20 oz bottle of soda cost $1.50 for example, which is on par with others. It's just a lovely place, and I'm sure we'll stop in next time we're in Lancaster, even if it's out of the way.
