I can't say enough good things about Giant Step Learning Center. As a parent, I was really nervous about leaving my daughter in someone else's care for the first time, but the staff here has gone above and beyond to make the transition easier than I ever expected. Mrs. Martha has been such a gift for us. My daughter is usually very shy and takes a while to warm up to new people, but she completely adores Mrs. Martha. When she's having a hard moment or feeling unsure, she automatically goes to her for comfort, which says a lot about the trust and bond they've built. You can just tell she has a special way with kids. The center also keeps me updated on how my daughter is doing what she ate, how she napped, if anything unusual happened. Those little updates mean a lot and give me peace of mind while I'm away. As any mother we wanna know our children are being cared for and these amazing women definitely do that. I also have to mention Ms. Jazmin, the director. On the very first day, I started tearing up when I dropped my daughter off. Ma. Jazmin comforted me and shared that she went through the same emotions when she left her own child at daycare for the first time. Just that reassurance and understanding made me feel better. Another thing worth mentioning is that their rates are much more affordable compared to most places in the area, especially considering how popular the location is being right near The CAMP. It's getting the best of both world's quality care at a price that doesn't feel overwhelming. We honestly feel lucky to have found Giant Step. It's been such a positive experience, and I'm grateful every day knowing my daughter is in such good hands. Overall, everyone I've met here is warm, approachable, and clearly cares about the kids. They even do little events for families throughout the year, which makes the place feel more like a community. read more

My daughter has been attending this school for 8 months and she loves it! She loves her teachers, especially her main teacher Ms. Daniella. It's a smaller school, but I feel like my daughter gets more attention here than she might elsewhere, plus they are affordable and super flexible which I appreciate. She's definitely learning too, which I was worried about. Being a typical 3 year old when I ask her about her day she focuses on what snacks she ate and who she played with, but today she impressed me by reciting all her months (which she definitely didn't know before she started) and counting to 49 (she got stuck on 50, but I'm still impressed). My son has been going to Giant Step Learning Center since he was 2 years old, he is now 4 and he'll be graduating this June. I am so sad but very grateful that my son attended this awesome place! They learn so much, socially, and academically. Other parents and kids are friendly as well. I like their daily school programs and their summer session program. They have performances, school pictures, and celebrate holidays and events in addition to their learning. You will capture the cutest memories of your child as they are growing up! Actual review: 4.5 stars As a parent, there is nothing more important than the well being of your child. And especially as a working parent, the worry you have about where to leave your child can be immense. That being said, the selection of Giant Step as a preschool/ child care center was one of the best things I ever did for my son and his development. The staff at this school, led by Ms. Maria "Chelo", is fantastic. My son loves his teachers and they in turn really love all the kids they are entrusted with each day. It is not only a child care center, but truly a Learning center. The information and knowledge the children receive each day is great, as well as all the fun activities they have the opportunity to experience. Added bonus, the school is very clean, well maintained, and upgraded. My sweet Daughter started attending Giant Step the week of her second birthday and she graduated in June 2018. Your children are the most important part of your world. I was so worried about having people I didn't know watch my child. My Daughter was surrounded by women who loved her, made her laugh, comforted her and who helped her develop into the smart girl she is today. In the 3 years my Daughter attended Giant Step I watched her thrive. She made countless friends and the teachers are the best. I truly don't have any complaints about her time there. This school also has fun summer activities like water play Friday's, pajama day, wacky hat day and they even have a summer luau where your child will sing and dance with the other kiddos. They also have a Christmas recital and do fun crafts all the time. On her last day of school I cried so hard. Enrolling your child here will be one of the best decisions you'll make but leaving the school will be the hardest. The bonds created with the teachers and you/your child almost feels like family. I will always remember the energy Ms. Marylou has, the comforting and loving nature or Ms. Martha, the positive attitude and laughter in Ms. Chelo and the outpouring of love in Ms. Ligia who would do anything for anyone. After having a super negative experience at Kiddie Academy in Irvine, I found this place. Wow.. can I say night and day! Our son LOVES going to school, he loves his teacher (Miss Chelo) and has a happy smile every time I pick him up after work. You can tell the teachers really care about the kids here. They really do TEACH them unlike other places. They do different activities everyday, have yearly shows with the children for the parents, have water play, gardening during the summer and so on. After bouncing around home day care and another pre-school (which closed down), we found Giant Step. Miss Chelo and her staff are very friendly and caring. My daughter had a wonderful experience and we could tell that she gained a lot of confidence during the time that she spent at Giant Step. They have a great program that balances education and activities. My daughter Malia misses her teachers Miss Chelo and Miss Marylou, as well as Miss Martha, Miss Jessica, and Miss Rohanna. The teachers here truly love their job. Ms. Chelo, the School Director, is loved by all the kids! She actually used to be my neighbor so I even see her out of school and she's truly a hardworking mom. My daughter has been here for two years now and she completely adores Ms. Chelo and her homeroom teacher, Ms. Marylou. Great teachers and staff - this is a place where you can confidently take your children to be prepared for elementary school. They have daily programs for learning and for fun. They also have regular shows for the children to participate in and open house for them to show you their work. Your children will look forward to going to school!
