We LOVE and will forever sing the praises of Mesa Verde Preschool! Our oldest child just graduated from the preschool program and she's been attending since 6 months old. It's a bittersweet milestone as she has known MVP as her school since before she could talk. This is more than a school, it's a place where you feel like you can build your community with long tenured teachers and families. With only 1 class per age level, you really get to know all the other children and teachers so well! There are opportunities throughout the year to get involved- trunk or treat, thanksgiving potluck, Easter egg hunt, mothers and Father's Day picnics, holi color festival and so much more! They also are open pretty much year round, except major holidays which is so great for working parents to have dependable year round childcare. My daughter is more than ready to enter TK thanks to the thoughtful emotional, social, and academic education she has been exposed to at Mesa Verde Preschool. We are so grateful for Mesa Verde Preschool. My daughter started at 16 months into the infant program and had a tough transition for 1 month with lots of separation anxiety away from her parents. All of the staff worked together to support her and she's made so much progress in the past 2 months . The teachers all work together as a team to support ALL of the kids, regardless if they're in their class or not to ensure a happy and safe learning environment. My daughter is now in the toddler program with Ms. Denise and we are so happy with her as her teacher. She is compassionate , caring and amazing with the kiddos. We love the artwork she brings home each week and the relationships she's building with her peers and teachers. It takes a village to raise a child and they are rocking it! We are so lucky to have found MVP! The teachers and staff at the school are so involved and really give a variety of learning experiences. From cooking and building to math and reading, the kids have so many opportunities to learn and grow. I feel that our little boy is ready for Kindergarten with Ms. Denise's every effort. My daughter went here for almost 3 years. Mr Alex was the main reason we stayed. The school is clean, staff is friendly, other children are nice, but Mr Alex is beyond amazing. He goes above and beyond for his students. In my case, my daughter always had a tough time at drop off. So he would hold her if needed, and make it easy on me! I have two kids going to this school and I'm blessed to have found my village here. The teachers are so loving to the kids. Many of the teachers have been around for many years. The kids are empowered to be themselves and grow emotionally and academically. MVP celebrates multiple festivals (Chinese New Year, Holi, Dia de Los muertos, etc) which exposes the kids to a diversity of cultures which I'm so grateful for. The kids get ample free play time which is not only developmentally needed but helps them practice sharing, caring for others, imagination, and emotional regulation. Absolutely the worst Daycare, and I'm ashamed I kept my son in here for so long. The staff just simply doesn't care about the wellbeing of your child. And the Director refuses to take any responsibility for her or her staffs actions to make the parents feel as though your child is in a safe and caring environment. There is zero security here! No locked doors, no locked gates, and no camera systems to even hold the staff accountable. My breaking point with this place was an incident where my 3 year old had a potty accident, and had no back up clothes in his cubby. Which was my fault as a parent for not double checking. But instead of CALLING THE PARENT to inform me that my son had no back up pants, they left him in soiled underwear, wrapped him in a blanket , and forced him to sit on the bench of the playground while the other children got to go play, for what they claim was only for "30 minuets" but without a camera system in place, I have to take their word for it. When I confronted Vickie (the director) about her staffs laziness and incompetence, the only response that I got was "it's not my responsibility , you should have had back up pants " This was such an easy fix, where is all I needed was a simple phone call to be informed, and the staff just doesn't care. Your kid is nothing but a paycheck to these people. Beware. read more

This school is adorable. On Thanksgiving they organized a potluck and families were invited and on Christmas my kid brought a handmade xmas tree ornament with his picture taken on that day wearing a Santa hat. Overall, I would recommend it to a friend, because my two year old is being well taken care of there and he takes a nap there, while it is impossible for him to take one at home. Huge plus for me. The staff is very attentive to details and they potty train too. UPDATE: still the most awesome preschool. I highly recommend this school to anyone. This school has been everything I could want for my son and my son absolutely loves going and loves all his teachers. He tells me all the time how much he loves going to school. The teachers and Ms. Christina are great with communicating with me, they assisted in helping me potty train him, which as a single working mom, saved me a lot of headache! They keep everyone up to date on any changes throughout covid, schedule changes, etc. they post daily pictures so you can see what your child is up to throughout the day. My son has attended for a year and the progression he's made developmentally is huge!! The teachers love and treat your kids as if they were their own. We've sent 2 kids to MVP and are so glad we did! This is our last year there before our youngest starts Kindergarten and we'll be sad to no longer have a child attending. We were drawn in by the play-based structure, but we LOVE the teachers... and they love our kids... and the kids love them! Staff understands children here and it shows. Our oldest entered kindergarten already reading. They looked forward to going every day, made friends they still have, and learned SO much. I now have 2 kids in this school and I am growing to appreciate it even more. They are loved, well looked after and learning so much. We have experienced every class level and have seen very little/infrequent turn-over in staff. They potty trained our oldest at 2 and worked with us through some phases our kids were going through. We have been with Mesa Verde since 2016 and appreciate the love and care our 3 children have received all of these years. There is low staff turnover, and they do a great job connecting with the family and getting to know each child. Our children loved the large playground with sand, slides, and swings. The teachers are caring and each day when I pick them up I am able to have a short check-in about their day. read more

My daughter has been at MVP since she was 4 months old she is now 3 years old. Cannot say enough good things about this preschool knowing that she is taken care of and loved dearly by all of the teachers especially Ms. Mayra, Ms. Christina, Ms Kathy and the director Ms. Vickie. We are lucky to have found MVP and recommend it highly. They helped with her potty training and she is constantly learning new things and coming home with fun art projects. They also offer daily lunch for 4 dollars a day, which is so helpful and convenient. They also do lots of fun events throughout the year e.g. a Trunk or Treat with parents and teachers participating, a Thanksgiving Potluck for the parents and children and they even do a Christmas program for the older children. I love this Pre-School. My daughter Mia has been going there almost 2 years now and everyone treats her like family. My newborn Anabelle just started going as well. Mia started off in the baby room and is now in the toddlers class. I love the fact that they offer nutritious lunches. It really takes the ease off of me, since I do work full time and have 4 children. The teachers are so caring. My child went there. I paid the registration fee. Two weeks later without warning, they said they were closing for a month (basically, a weekends notice). Well, I had to go find another daycare so that I could continue to work, and had to pay another registration fee. I asked for my registration fee back from Christina who said she would speak to the director. It's been two months, and I've followed up with a couple emails, but I am being ignored. This is a great infant care and I was very happy with my experience here. My daughter started day care here when she was 5 months old. All the teachers are very sweet and caring. I appreciated all their constant communication with me. When we first started I was very nervous about her naps because I could not get my daughter to nap in a crib at the time so I had no idea how she would handle naps at day care. They were not worried about this at all and helped me figure out her nap schedule and my daughter didn't have any problems with her naps. Ms. Shelby and Ms. Amy would give me daily updates and I felt like they really cared for my child. We ended up moving recently so my daughter was only here for a few months but I had a very positive experience and would recommend this day care for your little one! read more

Over a year later... My daughter has now moved on from MVP as she has entered Kindergarten. My little one left with a complete family. She and I cried SO HARD on her last day. Ms. Christina, the director was always communicating with all the parents. Emails a few times a week, updates every month and really made you feel everything that was going on while we the parents are at work. They have a Christmas Show, a Thanksgiving potluck, a Halloween trunk-or-treat.. I mean they just really are the best. Field trips, events at school, summer camp is awesome ! Now to the teachers... Ms. Cathy was there every morning and you guys, she is the sweetest lady! Always helped the kids eat their breakfast or make sure they were happy right when they walked in. All the teachers assistants were the exact same way, sweet, polite and kind. NOW FOR THE MAIN TEACHER my daughter has... Ms. Mayra! This teacher deserves it all. She made sure my daughter and her classmates had the best, happiest days. She gave them so much love, consistently worked on helping their self esteem and finding their talents. Whether it was singing to learn all the days of the week, then months, to then learning all their ABC's and their sounds. Once they accomplished that, the kids started learning to read! First sentences then books, front to back.(small books, but still these kids are 4-5) Math, she started them off with numbers and their value..my daughter is now in kinder and thanks to Ms. Mayra she is the only one in her class who can add and subtract because she learned that so very well in her class. I left this school after they raised their tuition and I didn't believe it was an exceptional school. They continuously lost my son's things. The last straw was on a water day where I packed all his swim wear in his back pack to include shirt, shorts, shoes, and towel. They allowed another parent to take it home after telling me they knew it belonged to my son. After nagging them I got it back 3 days later missing an item. When I asked them for the item they said they are not responsible for items although they allowed the parent to take it and in turn steal the item with no recourse. I would never go there again. It's not worth the money for teachers who aren't interested in more than collecting a paycheck. read more

Another review said it well-- you are just a paycheck to the employees here. The first time we went in to check the preschool out, everyone was very friendly and welcoming and it seemed like a great place. However, from what I have observed, there is very little compassion and one-on-one interaction. The majority of the interaction is among the ladies that work there, as if it's their social time. They do "art projects" but they are just printed sheets of paper with letters on them. Children at this age need compassion, interaction, stimulation, and much more variety of activities. I sent my daughter Isabella here after a co-worker had placed his two children at the facility. I honestly wasn't sure at first but I trusted his judgement. Bella was in the toddler program for a good amount of time and loved her teachers, especially Ms. Christina. The teachers were always very kind and interactive with the kids. Ms. Christina and the other teachers helped Bella to pick up potty training very quickly (within like 2 months) and kept us informed of her naps & behavior at school. We did eventually leave the facility when our friend moved their daughter to another school because that family helped us with child care but honestly would have kept Bella there if it were not for that move. I appreciated they set up themed days during the summer for the kids to partake in, did crafts & had a good sized playground outside for the kids to run around in. read more

My son is in the infant program, and has been coming here for about 6 months now. I'm overall happy. The staff is friendly, and truly care about my son. They text me to check in when he is out sick, and send me pictures throughout the month. He seems to enjoy his time here, and goes willingly into the staffs arms, and he loves playing with the other babies. I love that they provide a detailed list of all his activities for the day, including naps, feedings and bowel moments. My daughter loves it here and loves all her friends. She has made so much progress and is already learning to read! (She's 4). The teachers are all very nice and friendly. They have weekly PE type activity, and occasionally special guests like the fire dept and dentist come visit. A dance company also comes there weekly for dance class (extra). My only complaint is that sometimes there is a smell and needs to be aired out. read more

I have had my child at this school for 2 years. At first I was hesitant of enrolling my child at this school but I am so glad I did. The teachers are very welcoming and my child has learned so much and already has a love for math.
