Been using Giant for a few years for two vehicles. Showed-up to order tires and unable to. Came back and made an appointment a week later. When I left my vehicle at 815am, I expected it done that day before 5pm. I received a call late in the day and told only two tires came-in, so I had to call the next day to see if the other two arrived. When I came-back, I was told that the day before one lugnut was missing and that I must have cross-threaded another. As I am old, I don't change tires anymore. They did all of my tire-work for a few years. When I confronted the guy-owner, he became extremely defensive after I firmly informed him that I was not happy leaving with a missing lug after two days. I was told by the female-owner never to come-back. I did not need much convincing, as they told me they couldn't fix or replace the stud and new lug until next week. I had some clues prior that they did not know anything about customer service. BTW, I ordered premium tires to replace the bobo's that I bought there last year. Something isn't right here. read more

I have to say these guys are the best, I came little late afternoon to get my brakes come to figure I had to get new ones instead of waiting another day they did it right then and there , I was amazed. Gave me the wrong sized tire then refused to take any accountability. Didn't care to hear facts. Where would I get the sizing I asked for other than off one of the other tires. Why does this one tire not match? Absolute absurdity. Don't give them your business. Make careless mistakes and then blame you. read more

I found out I had a nail in my tire today. I was losing air very slowly so I managed to drive over and met with Jose. He's very nice guy. And within 10 minutes, my car was done. He also checked all of the air on all four tires to make sure they were inflated correctly. I highly recommend that shop. These people are really nice. It's not a chain. Definitely give them a shot. I came to Giant Tire of Pompano Beach to have new TPMS sensors installed on my Ford F150 truck. I also had a tire mounted on a steel rim to use as a spare tire. I spent the better part of two days at Giant tire and they could not get the TPMS sensors to work on my trucks system. I was told to go to the Ford dealer to get it to work. They offered my money back but they would have to remove the new sensors. I did not want the new parts removed so I left the shop with the same TPMS error lights on my dash, no repair. THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I GOT HOME THERE WAS A MAJOR CUT IN THE SIDE WALL OF MY LEFT REAR TIRE! GIANT DID NOT ACCEPT THE RESONSIBILITY FOR THIS DAMAGE. They told me they noted the damage to my tire and noted this damage on their internal paperwork. They never told me about this damage to my tire!!! This damage will cost me $250.00 for a new tire. I just bought this tire brand new 30 days ago. I'm pissed at this repair shop. They are the worst! DO NOT GO TO GIANT TIRE! BEWARE!!! I didn't make a review the first time, because with great service I always make sure it is repeated prior to giving praise. They knocked my tire change out of the park. They are prompt, friendly, and helpful with my questions. They took care of my wheels to make sure the caused no damage. Gave a quick look over my brakes to make sure I'm still good to go. Ever since I've had newer cars with engine splash shields (the plastic liners underneath the car), I've had issues regardless of the vehicle. These pieces of plastic are poorly designed and come undone over time, making it sound like you're dragging a trash can under your car. Once destroyed by being dragged on the road, dealerships want to charge hundreds of dollars to replace them... when they quite honestly aren't necessary down here anyway. We don't live in the north where they salt the roads in the winter, and I don't drive on gravel or dirt roads... so really, these things are just a hassle. Seeing the mangled plastic hanging on the ground when I left the house to go to work yesterday morning, I called my dad, who told me to drive over here to Giant Tire. He's taken a few cars there, and said they were nice guys. I drove there (slowly), and asked if they could fix it. Even though they were busy, they agreed to do it while I waited since it would be a fast repair. The one gentleman (I wish I'd gotten his name) cleared a vehicle lift and put my car up. I didn't even have time to check in on yelp, because he fixed it that quickly. We're talking less than five minutes. He reattached what he could, and cut off the portion that was destroyed. When he came back in to give me the keys, I asked how much I owed. He told me it was nothing, which was such a shock. I mean, yes, it was a really quick fix, but not something I could've done on my own. I was obviously quite grateful, and am relieved to find a car repair shop that isn't greedy (I think we've all encountered a few of those). read more

We went to three different tire shops in the area and in every place there was a problem: long lines, rude employees that wouldnt even acknowledge me as I waited there for ten minutes, and blatant unprofessionalism. Being out-of-towners, I was ready to run away from Florida! But Giant Tires and Auto was a God send! We called ahead and were greeted in the parking lot. The employees were straight forward and very clear on the possible outcomes, including prices and wait time. The service was quick. The employees were so kind, especially the woman at the front desk. Giant Tire in Pompano (Shady) I got some used tires from these guys $100 3 tires total. The initial work performed was typical besides the fact that A---- didn't check the tires in the water tank. The next day my tire was low/ put air in it. Again the next day, low again. Went back and said could you guys check it. A----- said there's a nail in it. He pulled it out drove the rasp in the tire even before checking if it was leaking, put a plug in it and said $10 for 1 minute worth of service (that's $600 hr. without checking for leaks). That night the tire was flat. Brought it back and said take it off and check which they cried about it. The tire had cracks on the sides and was leaking. He said because it was used and I drove on it there was no warranty. I said the tire should hold air no matter what and asked if he could be FAIR about it and asked if he would credit me another tire, he refused and would not return money either. I went Joe's Tires on Dixie where they changed/ balanced/checked in tank the way a real tire place should. Brought the tire back to Giant where again they said too bad your stuck with it. These guys said they were from Jersey hmm wonder why they left? So I write to inform the public to be wary of this Giant tire and don't trust them. They could've been fair just for business sake. Don't EVER use Giant Tire!!! The new owner is absolutely disgraceful!!! I dropped my car off this morning for brakes, rotors & tires. I sat there waiting for him to fix his computer instead of him taking my keys & letting me be on my way. After 30 minutes I told him I need to go. I tried to pre-pay on a cc. He said the machine isn't working so I asked him if there will be a problem paying with a card later, that's my only way to pay. He said not to worry so I left. They called when my car was ready but said their machine wasn't working so it will be CASH ONLY, if I want my car back. I told him I'll have my mom give them a check. He said no check. I asked why not, their machine isn't working & I made it very clear that I need to pay with a card. He right away became defensive saying it's not his fault it isn't working. I said it surely isn't my fault & I need my car. He said it's not his fault again so I can wait till tomorrow to get my car. No way! Since their machine isn't working, they should to be flexible & work with me. He just kept repeating it's not his fault, it's Comcast's fault, it's cash only. He said he's not going to give me my car for free. Really??? I offered a check, to leave my credit card info to charge when their machine is fixed & kept getting a rude NO. I planned on talking to the owner when I got there, asking for a rental car in lieu of the situation & expected some sort of discount at least. But I had no choice but to use part of my rent money to now pay cash for my car. I stopped at an ATM, which malfunctioned. The next ATM rejected my & my mom's cards. So we went to Publix and tried our cards there. Both rejected!!! Sat on phone with the bank for 40 mins to be told they froze my & my mom's accounts bc of the large amount of the withdrawl "in that kind of neighborhood". When I finally made it to Giant Tire I immediately told the owner I'm not happy & this isn't right. He said he isn't happy either & began to play the victim. I told him I specifically asked if there will be an issue with paying with a cc. That I don't see how he's demanding cash, refusing a check bc his machine isn't working. He blamed Comcast so I said that has nothing to do with me. If he's running a business & his equipment isn't working, he should be working with people not being rude. It went back & forth, screaming at each other, he kept running away acting like a child, telling me how to act. 1st of all, I'm not your child & I don't follow your orders! And what talking? There was no talking to this guy! Unlike a good business owner who would try to diffuse the situation & try to make the customer happy, he didn't give a crap! He was only concerned with the fact that he couldn't handle someone challenging his ethics! I asked for some sort of discount or a rental car, he had the ability to make this right. He literally started laughing! He said I already got a discount by not being charged to mount the tires. If I'm buying 3 tires, new brakes & rotors, who the hell charges for putting the tires back on?! The old owner Darien never did! But then again, Darien was a GREAT business owner, caring, rational & fair! He then said instead of a discount he's going to charge me more bc that $382 was a cash only price. Um, you're only accepting cash so how does that make sense?! Plus, you gave me that price knowing I was paying with a credit card. I had enough of his condescending unprofessional irrational handling of this! I told him to give me my keys, threw $380 on the counter & told him he can eat the rest. It's so sad. I've been going there for more than 7 years. The old owner Darien was amazing! He knew cars inside & out, cared about his customers & always made sure you left 100% satisfied & happy.
