Treat you like a drive thru business, took my keys and said we'll let you know once your car is done. Then they contacted me 5'mins before they closed and said how quick can I make it back to the shop, only to find the guy that I handed the keys to went home a long time ago and there was another guy who was in there working on a whole different car while my car was parked on the side. No idea how long my car was actually ready for, I waited all day, turned my car in at 10am and didn't get my car until 7pm, no exaggeration, I got my starter replaced. Should not have taken that long. Oh, and when I showed up, he said "you have the starter replacement right?" We never talked about that, I never said I had the part, he then said okay no problem I could find it, it'll take me an extra 3hours to get it. I just didn't want to deal with this issue anymore so I said sure. I should have taken that as my first sign and left somewhere else. I've had other work done on my car since at a new shop and I'm 1000% happier, better priced, feel valued, plus I can sit inside a shop and wait while my car gets worked on, unlike here. You have to leave and come back once they call you, at the end of the day, 5mins before they close telling you your car is ready, to be picked up by someone you never seen before. OH and these guys don't even report their work into Carfax like every other professional shop does. Everytime a mechanic works on your car, they upload it into carfax to show your recent updates, but this shop doesn't do that. Avoid this shop, let that be an indicator of whether or not you should do business with a mechanic. Very shady to avoid uploading professional required documentation. Now that sucks because when I want to resell my car, my carfax history won't show that I got a new started replaced 2026. There's no history of it whatsoever. Find another more professional mechanic, compare prices, ask if they upload their work into carfax. Ask many questions before agreeing to trust your car with them. How they answer your questions will tell you if you want to do business with them, but do that with others and let me spare you this struggle. Only giving them 2 stars because as far as I know, the starter was actually replaced and haven't had issues since. So I guess they did what they needed to do. But I had a lower quote from another mechanic and I regret not going with him because he's the one I go to now and he charges WAY less for better quality work, he's thorough, takes his time to explain and show you. read more

terrible repair shop they scam you into thinking there great mechanics give you a good price and do a totally different job on your car they told me I needed cam gear repair and I paid to get it repaired they never told me they were changing my fuel system instead and i don't even know if they did that i found out not bc they called and said oh we dived in and it was the fuel system , my car was running terrible and screws were loose on my Porsche so I went back and got the receipt saying they did the fuel pump not the cam gear charged me the exact amount as the cam gear and never told me there a fraud the owner said it was his mistake what do I want him to suck my ..... for his mistake and told me he will fix my oil leak for free for his mistake I told him I don't trust him and I would like my money bc I didn't authorize that work on my car . this place is terrible they have people leave reviews so you don't see the bad ones don't be fooled by these people I see the owner likes to answer reviews and tell people they fix what the customer he never told me he was doing a system. I took my car to get fixed at Exotic auto Repair& Transmission the main person I talk to was Byron. I asked Byron to fix my undercarriage of under my car as well as the job he's supposed to do. I got charged $700, comes to find out the job only cost $450 and that's with labor. I figure if I wasn't a woman I would've got charged to proper price. Also my undercarriage on my Audi Q5 was falling down and needed to be fixed. I'm going down 95 and I see this big black thing up under my car that has fallen down and guess what , that was part of the undercarriage which I asked him to fix he told me that he'd taken it off which I told him to fix . for $700 I wanted a carriage under my car to be fix, if you're are a single woman do not go to these rip offs. My car battery was going, so I purchased one at Costco and had gotten in contact with Bryon for Exotic Repair to install. Not everyone is willing to install a battery you purchase yourself. Byron, Was very responsive and when he went to install the battery I bought in, he discovered it was different than the one installed. He investigated a little further and discovered the battery I bought was the correct one for my car, and the one installed 4 years earlier by another shop. Had installed the wrong battery. BEWARE DO NOT USE I went there to have my 2023 BMW 4 series undergo routine periodic maintenance and it left with an oil leak after an oil change. The screw to the oil pan was turned with too much force and it cracked the lip around the spout to the pan. Rather than advise me of this, they attempted to fill it with silicone and sent me on my way. In three weeks, my oil was down to nearly nothing, puddles under my car. Turns out they also did not change either the cabin or engine air filter. I got two front tires which imagined should have caused them to at the very least check the rear tires but when was given the keys, the pressure in both rear tires were low. Byron made sure to show me the spark plugs which were actually replaced. Cost me $1500 and a $1800 repair to fix what they broke. Now Byron claims because the oil leak is so bad, it could not have been caused by him because it was not leaking oil to such an extent when it left their shop and if it was, the car would not be operating. I imagine he has not heard that oil leaks are generally worsening conditions. I am extremely disappointed in this mechanic's ethics and failure to do what is right. Now I need to take him, his shop and his father to Court to get back the money I initially paid him for a bogus and injurious servicing where the air filters were not changed and tire pressure was not checked, the cost of repair, a car rental and time lost and away from my job. Yelp provided me with 4 shops, which gave out my issue and concerns. My issue is that I was hearing a loud scrapping noise under my car. While waiting I received two messages from two seperate shops. One being "Exotic Repair" and another being "fixn roll Mobil services". They both responded instantly, but the difference was how they approached it. Exotic repair offered me a free diagnosis on my problem. On the other hand, Fixn roll Mobil" offered me $80 just to diagnose the problem! Didn't even ask for me to come in and didn't know the severity behind it. Exotic repairs not only gave me a FREE diagnosis, was on time, answered the phone in a timely manner,very respectful as well as FAST responses. Now I understand sometimes people can't call/respond back like the other shop "fix n roll Mobil". When it came to fixing my problem. The owner of the shop provided the best option possible. He offered to install the cover for free once I buy a new one online, since what happened was a tire got stuck while driving and it's not permanently fixable. At the end of the day, The key difference in between the 3 shops that weren't helpful and the ONE that was being exotic repairs, is that they WANT to help you, they don't just want your money like these other places. Come here before you try AAMCO. I drive a 2007 Toyota Tundra with 191,000 miles on it but my transmission was a little jumpy and revving too high at a low speed first thing in the morning. I looked up a few parts thinking it could be solved with a speed sensor replacement which is a cheap part. I tried AAMCO and was quoted about 5k for a whole new transmission. Richmond Auto gave me an option of replacing the valve body which was $1400 for the remanufactured part and $800 for labor, so less than half of what I would have paid with AAMCO and not a whole new transmission needed. My truck drives great now and Keron the owner offered me a complimentary full synthetic oil change. Looking forward to bringing my truck back here again and again. read more

I had a great experience with Richmond auto. I called them a few weeks ago after my timing belt popped off and oil was all over my car. They called me over a tow truck and picked up my vehicle and were able to fix the issue which was a timing cover failure. Gave me a free diagnosis and fixed my problem in about 2 days, they also did not charge me for the tow truck as long as I fixed the issue at their shop which is fair. A couple of days later after my car running fine I had come into my engine overheating and check engine light coming on. I went back and they told me I was low on coolant and needed to replace my radiator cap at it had broken off. I just paid for the radiator cap and they refilled my coolant for free. Alvin was there waiting for me as I called earlier and was quick to resolve the issue. It has been a couple weeks since of me driving my car with no issues they did a great job. A week ago my car died while my fiancé was driving it home and I stumbled across this auto repair shop on Yelp Monday morning. I was immediately drawn to them since they offer free estimates and can come to you. I sent a message and almost instantly received a reply that someone could come to my home to give the car a free estimate in 20 minutes. Bryon plugged in his diagnostic tool which indicated my engine had been damaged but he didn't know the full extent. The car was towed to his shop and he informed me the engine was seized. Long story short I misunderstood and thought it would take two days for the repair but after my fiancé found out it would actually be two weeks we decided to purchase another car since the repair would be quite expensive. Bryon understood and let us have the car towed from his shop without any issue and even returned the deposit I'd sent two days earlier to begin the work on my vehicle.
