At first she acted nice when I spoke to her but then she changed in demeanor and became condescending and dismissive toward me which was concerning. She is unpredictable. My advice is to contact other law firms and have another attorney as a backup if you decide to retain her services. Tim Doty is by far the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever dealt with. We hired him to take our…read morecase, not only did he not file the paperwork on time the court did not have him as attorney of record. We spoke with him the day before our appearance in court and he told us what would happen and that he would meet us there. The day of court he would not answer his phone or respond to any texts. His phone then went straight to voicemail. Two days later he responded to say he had kidney stones. For us that was a little late since this was a custody hearing for our child. He was always hard to make contact with and his lack of response is ridiculous. He made our case a joke. His assistant is just as bad as he is. I would not EVER recommend TIM DOTY to do any kind of legal work. After days with no response, he did refund our retainer but that was after we stated that we will be filing a complaint with MI State Board Association.

if anyone had a bad experience with mr Doty it was probably their own fault! the other month i was…read morecharged with a drug felony. i was blessed to recieve him as my court appointed counsel. he must have been doing his required public defender office work because run of the mill public defenders do not usually de everything that he did for me. here is a list of the service he provided me with at my darkest hour 1. he got my $20,000 bond reduced to a personal bond 2. he did a detailed discovery with the hope of dismissal for illegal search and seizure ( unfortunately the evidence to do so just wasnt there). 3. he returned every phonecall usually within an hour or two, within a day at the longest. 4. not only did he get my felony reduced to a misdemeanor, but he also got me off with no probation, 1 year advisment and a $300 fine. not quite a dismissal but darn close and well worth whatever bill i get in summation mr Doty is prompt, professional, hard working and has an excellent relationship with the 37th district court. if you find yourself in trouble and need a good attorny to work his ass off for you that i wholeheartedly recommend Timothy Doty esq.
