A woman came in but the rest of the staff got here around 8:15am - 8:20am. This would have not be such a bad thing if people didn't start coming in already and there was no one to help the clients (at least 8 people was here by the time they opened). I was able to fill out my information in the kiosk. I'm not a fan of it allowing you to set an appointment because if you schedule it for 9:30am and it's 8am it will say I You're too early for the appointment. Although I'm a walk in patient not sure why I must need an appointment. It is now 8:27am and I'm sitting in the room waiting on someone to test me for the rapid Covid test. Okay it's not 8:33am and the test was taken (no vitals) I was told to wait in the room and they would give me the test results right away which is pretty cool . This location is new and very clean, staff seems pretty nice. I got my results and letter by 8:45 so hopefully I can make it to work for 9:30am. I gave them a 5 star because of the quickness once I got processed in but they get a 4.5 for the pre processing and lack of staff when they opened at 8am. I will definitely be back again but it seems to be best to come in early in the AM.

The bed I was moved to following my surgery clearly still had feces from another patient and another patients blood on the floor. The surgical procedure body location changed on the day of my surgery simply to train a Radiologist in residence. Most staff are kind but GYN never follows up. It is sinful that on at 3 occassions the unclean conditions have put me in a detrimental situation.

Here you can go to the huge gym, which offers a sauna and proportionally small locker room. There are other amenities such as a theater, bowling alley, and outdoor pool (expensive).

The line moves quickly and they are extremely attentive when it comes to patient registration. This is the best group of front desk staff yet. Most of the nursing staff are polite, calm, and knows how to handle patients that are angry because of appointment delays. I'm one of those angry patients. One issue with this place is that every single time I turn around a doctor or a nurse is always leaving. The longest I've had a doctor here was maybe three years. I know one of the issues here is that the staff are not being treated as well as they should be as far as compensation and respect. Trust me I've had and heard many staff members complain about this over the last five years. Last month I had an appointment to see a new doctor. I was placed in a room to wait for the doctor. An hour passed and the doctor still didn't come in the room. There was no courtesy check or anything. I was annoyed at this point because when the doctor finally came in she didn't apologize for this delay. I was also upset because she rushed through my appointment. She saw me for 15 minutes and ordered over $1400 in blood work (I checked my insurance claim online that's how I knew) and she put in a referral for me to get a specific test done. This was my first and last time seeing this doctor. After all of the blood work she ordered she never put in my specific request for my PPD test so I ended up scheduling a separate appointment with a nurse practitioner instead. So another situation: I had to get my PPD read. I was told it would only take five minutes tops. So of course I had my food shopping cart with me. It's only five minutes right? I get PPDs every two years for work so I've always been in and out within five maybe 10 minutes. I registered at about 8:46am and it took 30 minutes for someone to take two seconds to read my PPD. Mind you there were only four patients in the waiting area and there were nursing staff there since 8am. I was beyond pissed at this point. I will stay here for now because I chose a different person to see- a nurse practitioner and she seems really cool and considerate of my time. So I'll give this nurse practitioner a run until the end of the year. But if I'm not happy I'm just going straight to New York Presbyterian Hospital for all of my future medical needs. As far as blood work at this clinic, I'll be going to LabCorp. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. It seems like having an appointment doesn't mean anything here.

Despite the rumors that patients used to be able to breeze in and out of the office, expect about a 30-45 minute wait to see the doctor. The receptionists range from terse to downright rude, depending upon what day you catch them. It's about the same for phone appointments - you are either rushed off the phone, or made to feel like you are a total chore. Having thick skin will make you feel as if this level of service isn't a huge deal, but still. You are a paying customer at the end of the day. The doctor herself is nice and incredibly laid-back, but incredibly rushed. At times, she seems to be disinvested in making any social contact whatsoever and will barely look up from her laptop. If you have a serious medical ailment, expect to be handed a referral and sent on your way. As I mentioned before, this may be a dream experience for some (and particularly those that dread going to the doctors) but if you are looking for an in depth experience, certainly go elsewhere. The practice is a teaching office, so a young med-student will be taking your vitals and going over your chart before you even see the doctor. Rather than helpful, this is often an annoyance as you are answering their questions to help them along with their education. It always feels contrived and never like they are looking to give you any help or advice. More so, it feels like a way for the doctor to buy more time to see other patients. I've often had the med student take my blood pressure and ask a few questions, only to have the doctor come in after and repeat the same process. Manhattan Family Practice, overall, is hit or miss. If you are looking for a run-of-the-mill experience, this will do. But for exceptional service, search elsewhere.

My first appointment I did have to wait a while to see the Dr., but not any more and probably not half as long as the horror stories I've heard from other people over the years. I didn't think she was stand-offish at all, and for the physical she was quite engaged in the process. After I was handed to an assistant for some tests, I met with her again and she told me her findings and gave me a suggestion or two to lower slightly high cholestoral. Second visit she was also very engaged and friendly. After doing what she could, she set me up right away with an ear specialist up the block for an immediate appointment. No complaints and certainly very professional. Just what I want in the situation. She knows what she's doing and is effecient. In and out without being rushed or ignored.
