It's a classic tourist trap. The cake was ok but not so incredibly outstanding that I'd pay $22+ for another slice in the future. The flavors were good and it was pretty moist but nothing super special. Tastes like basic good quality bakery cake. The trio of flavors were good. The almond paste was very good. Overall cool experience but definitely a one and done thing.

A must-visit spot for any foodie who loves cake! First off, bring your camera to take pictures of how beautiful the shop and displays are, literally everything shines and sparkles. Try to go during off hours so you can easily roam around and look at the dessert options. Second, the drinks are just as good as the cakes so be sure to save room for a fancy beverage. Lastly, you can't go wrong with your selection as everything we sampled was delicious. This place is pricey, so come prepared to pay premium Disney vacation prices.

If i was a coffee shop this would be me! The boardwalk area is so beautiful right on the little manmade lake, and it is walking distance to epcot! When you walk in , you feel like you entered a princess fairytale. Everything from the cookies, to the egg sandwiches to the coffee has glitter ! I ordered the white chocolate pearl iced latte and it tasted sooo good i loved the foam on top and the vanilla/birthday cake flavor. I also had their peanut butter cup (with glitter ofc) It tastes so fresh and homemade with real peanut butter inside!! Everyone here was super friendly and the long line moved quick and efficiently! There is even a little gift shop of little trinkets you can buy. so good!

We came here while staying at the Swan, and it's definitely not the best place for toddlers. The place is beautiful and very regal, with very intricate designs / use of porcelain for basically everything. Our server was fantastic, but his support teammate was definitely frustrated by the vibe our tired kiddos had during the dinner (which was at 5 PM and the restaurant wasn't too full). Food was generally good / had a kids menu, and the dessert was very heavy, but delicious. As others have mentioned, this place is expensive, so not sure this will be a staple for our future visits to the Boardwalk.

The atmosphere was amazing and the waiter was very good. The hosts/hostess could use some fine tuning as they seemed a little unfriendly. I have been here twice and the food is good. The deserts are great but I left feeling like I wanted something more from a price versus experience perspective. It is a fine dining restaurant but it feels forced, like it is trying to live up to an expectation, not walking into who they say they are. When you arrive even with a reservation they leave you out in the 100 degree weather with no shaded area or other reprieve from the heat. The hostesses sort look at you like you are trying to get into a high end night club and they are the gatekeepers. The restaurant itself is beautiful and can accommodate up to six diners easily. It is most ideal for groups of six or less. It would be a great date night spot or anniversary celebration place for a couple. I had a large group with me so we all ordered different things. The crab cake meal was delicious, the truffle fries were great, the shrimp po boys were okay. The home run here for my group was the desserts. They do this very well and it is tasty without being overly sweet. I have not been blown away by either of my visits but I would recommend this spot for a visit as it is unique and provides a different experience at Disney.

Afternoon Tea is such a fantastic and special experience. Come hungry! I recommend doing the tea pairing service to try multiple teas with each part of the meal- the chicken salad was by far the best of the tea sandwiches. The scone with clotted cream was delicious and all the desserts - so so good! Great experience overall, beautiful decorations and a great experience for a girls afternoon, mom and daughter celebration or bachelorette event.

Finally had a chance to try out The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant for the first time after several visits to Orlando since their opening. My family and I had a Sunday brunch reservation. The restaurant and cake shop are adjacent to each other with two separate, roped-off entrances. They are located on Disney's Boardwalk, so as guests staying at that property, it was an easy walk and place to stop and eat before starting our day at Epcot. In-person service from the entrance to our wait staff was excellent. The ambiance and overall aesthetic of the restaurant is also beautiful. Honestly, a perfectly themed brunch spot. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially based on the mixed reviews, but we had a positive first experience. The brunch menu offered several choices. Our family ended up ordering the: - Gwendolyn's Signature Chicken & Andouille Gumbo - Croque Madame with Truffle Pomme Frittes - Choose two: Chicken Salade Croissant and Lemon Caesar Salade Portion sizes were perfect for hunger level and the preparation and taste of all the dishes were on point. Price was on the higher side, although it was to be expected with it being Gwendolyn Roger's restaurant and the location falling on Disney property. My dish was the Croque Madame and I loved it. Would highly recommend. We did share two cake slices at the table because, if we're coming to The Cake Bake Shop, you just do it. Cake slices are also super expensive, but we loved them. We ended up trying the Lemon Blueberry Cake and the Millionaire Cake. The slices were huge and looked perfect. Each sprinkled with edible shimmer, the cakes tasted as heavenly as they looked. After the big brunch meal, we ended up taking more than half of each slice back to the hotel to enjoy later. Overall, The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant made a strong first impression for us. I can't confidently say it would be a must stop visit each time we're at WDW, but we would definitely stop by again if we were staying at one of those Epcot Resorts on Crescent Lake or to celebrate a special occasion. If you're intrigued and it's in the budget for your trip, I would definitely check them out.

The Cake Bake Shop is the hottest new restaurant at the Boardwalk. I recently dined here for a friend's birthday celebration. We had a 6:30pm reservation and were seated right away. The inside and outside are both decorated adorably. The pinks, glitter, and flowers are every girly girls dream. Our waitress was great and very helpful when we didn't know what to order. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the avocado dish. I enjoyed chicken piccata for my meal. Others had the salmon, crab cakes, and chicken tenders. Everyone thought the food was great. The only downfall is the pricing. $25 for basic chicken tenders is a bit high and one of the girls paid $40 for a cocktail. Overall, the experience was great and I recommend checking it out.

Great experience, very whimsical fairy tale vibe. The service is stellar and food is quality. The girls and younger kids enjoyed themselves. Great for special occasions.

Everything was excellent! This place is absolutely gorgeous. It was like something out of my glitter sparkle unicorn fairy dreams... even a lot of the food had edible glitter on it! Prices were exactly as expected for a restaurant with this dreamy aesthetic and this level of service. Honestly pretty average pricing for the nicer full service restaurants on Disney property. We started with Unicorn hot chocolate, which was strawberry flavored. I loved it! We also had the gumbo poutine for an appetizer. The portions are very generous. I got the chicken salad croissant sandwich. It was very good. For dessert we shared the millionaire sundae. Really good! Couldn't have finished it on my own, so I am very glad we shared. The service was excellent. Our server was so kind and helpful. My friend's son doesn't like cheese and didn't realize that there was cheese in the butter noodle kids meal, so they made him a new one! I am hoping to come back and try the afternoon tea.

The Cake Bake Shop at Disney's BoardWalk is truly a feast for the eyes before you even take a single bite. The store is absolutely GORGEOUS -- with roses cascading from the ceiling, a stunning rose tree centerpiece, and the most whimsical, fairytale-like atmosphere. Every cake and treat sparkles with a delicate glitter finish that makes them almost too pretty to eat (almost ). Now let's talk cake: Carrot Cake - Incredibly moist and full of flavor. This one did not disappoint and was perfectly balanced. Red Velvet - The cake itself was good, but I was surprised that the cream cheese frosting was only between the layers. The outer frosting was more of a traditional white buttercream. It was still tasty, just not what I expected when ordering red velvet. Lemon Blueberry - TO. DIE. FOR. Super moist, bright, flavorful, and easily the star of the show. I would go back just for this slice alone! Now for the reality check -- it is pricey. Slices of cake are about $22 each, and even a small bag was $2.99. You're definitely paying Disney BoardWalk prices and for the over-the-top presentation and atmosphere. Overall, it's a magical, glam dessert experience that feels straight out of a fairytale -- but be prepared for luxury pricing to match. The service was friendly as well! Rating: 4/5 (because while it's stunning and delicious, the price point is hard to ignore!)

This visit we got lunch and it was life changing! This is definitely one of the best lunch experiences I've had on property. The gumbo was phenomenal. I will be dreaming of it until our next trip! It was truly delicious and the hot sauce is such an excellent touch. The shrimp po boy was fantastic, paired with the excellent aioli and hot sauce. Filling and large enough to share! The raspberry champagne cake is our favorite. We originally came back just for it, but was delighted to experience lunch this time too. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming. We got great information on ordering a cake for our wedding ceremony! And of course, this restaurant is beyond beautiful. It is truly spectacular, every single detail. We got to see a new area of it this time, and wow, we were blown away!

The service and ambiance here is worth the higher price tag on the menu! You definitely come here for vibes and photos but the food is also worth it! My food wasn't super heavy and definitely a big portion for the price. I would immediately order it again and come back for dinner. This was my first time getting Dinner here and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the lavender lemonade and you are allowed one free refill on it which is nice for the price of the drink being $8. The sorbet was only $6 and it definitely was worth it! Cleansed the pallet and tasted super fresh. Overall I would recommend and come back for the great service and good food!

    Do they offer military discount?

Honestly, it varies by place at WDW. I DID get a Disney Visa discount there. It was like 10-15% but better than nothing. I would think they would if they offered me that.

How much do they charge for a bag to carry out your purchases from the fast serve area? I was asked "would you like to buy a bag to carry your stuff out today", gave a weird look and say no and no bag was given...

$1.99 to $2.99 depending on the size. You should have bought the bag....it taste better than their cake!

Some items took a bit longer, like my latte, which honestly thought would come first, but not too long of a wait for it. They have biscuits, bowls, sandwiches, grits, and more. The grits were delicious. The chix strips and waffles were good but, will say one of the strips was mostly batter and very little meat. Thankfully I was full but for someone looking for a real full meal, they would have been disappointed. The waffles were very well done though. There is an outdoor pool area and a fitness center somewhere in there as well. To be fair, I did not spend a whole lot of time in the room as I had quite a few activities to attend to. Would I stay here again? I would if the cost of the room was workable. It also depends on where you are planning on going in Orlando. Overall a very good stay and I would recommend staying here if you have the option. Parking is self-park and cost is about $44 / day, or valet park for considerably more at $56/day

The lobby and the plants were stunning and really impressed us. We had a hiccup with our room type initially, but the staff upgraded us without issue. The room itself was clean, spacious, and on the 4th floor with a semi-pool view, which was lovely. However, there were some notable issues. The parking system didn't work correctly, and it seemed like this was an ongoing problem. The hot tubs were disappointing, one was closed, and the other had no jets and was the grossest hot tub we've ever seen. That was a major letdown. Checking out was a bit chaotic too, as there were people cutting lines and no one explained that there were multiple checkout lines, so my husband ended up waiting unnecessarily. On the bright side, the hotel restaurant was delicious, and our server there was great. The wine bar, unfortunately, was another story, the service was slow, and we ended up giving up and returning to our room. We enjoyed the upgrade and the overall ambiance of the hotel, so we would recommend it if the price is right, but definitely keep these issues in mind. I chose to give them 4 stars, instead of 3, due to the upgrade, and two free drink vouchers with check-in.

It was a bit of a bummer since we couldn't enjoy all of the crazy artwork, but at least there was the perfect weather. Overcast with a beautiful breeze. I got the Starry Night and the Frozen Strawberry Limoncello. He got the Warhol Wake Up and the Impressionist, which was created by Michelle, our wonderful bartender. We decided to give a little bit of everything a try so we ordered the "Get 'Em All!" It had jerk chicken skewers, a Cuban slider, a cauliflower taco and more! In my opinion, the best bite of the plate is always the jerk chicken. A close second was the chicken chorizo slider, which was also bursting with flavor. And don't even get me started on the dessert! Those triple chocolate cake pops were so decadent. The strawberry and whipped cream were a nice pallet cleanser in between nibbles. All in all it was a great time with delicious drinks and bites.

They were knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure I felt comfortable with every dish. The food was absolutely delicious--everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Summer House on the Lake is a waterfront restaurant in Disney Springs that focuses on a bright,…read morecoastal-inspired atmosphere with a mix of American comfort food, brunch favorites, and California-style dishes. We walked into a space that stands out immediately because of its open, airy design and lake views, creating a more relaxed experience compared to many of the busier dining options around Disney Springs. The interior has a comfortable, modern beach-house style that matches the name and concept well, with large windows that bring in natural light and a color palette that feels fresh and inviting. The menu has a wide variety of choices, from brunch dishes to sandwiches, seafood, salads, pizzas, and larger entrées. We ordered the cinnamon roll, which is one of the highlights and is best enjoyed as a shareable starter since the portion is large and feels more like a dessert on its own. The roll was warm and soft, with a generous layer of icing that added sweetness without making it feel heavy. The truffle fries are another strong option, with a generous serving and a good balance of crispy fries with a flavorful dipping sauce that complemented the fries well. Other dishes like the steak frites, fish tacos, and chicken sandwich provided solid options for a full meal, and we found the steak frites particularly well executed, with the meat cooked to a proper medium and the fries staying crisp throughout the meal. One of the strengths of Summer House is that it offers something for different preferences. The restaurant also has a strong selection of drinks, including cocktails, mocktails, and brunch beverages that pair well with the food. The mocktails were thoughtfully composed, offering a refreshing option that did not feel like an afterthought. The gluten-free options are another standout, with a variety of substitutions available without making the meal feel limited. We noticed that the staff were familiar with the dietary options and able to guide us through the substitutions without hesitation. The atmosphere is a major part of the experience. Sitting near the lake added a lot to the meal, especially during the day when the outdoor views made the restaurant feel like a break from the usual Disney Springs crowds. We appreciated the slower pace of the meal, and the lake views provided a calming backdrop that shifted the focus from the busy shopping and dining district outside. The restaurant can get busy, but the overall pacing still feels more relaxed than many nearby options. Service is another highlight, with staff generally being attentive and knowledgeable. Our server was familiar with the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations, especially on the shareable dishes and drinks. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak dining times, and requesting a table closer to the lake can make the experience better. We booked ahead and were glad we did, as the restaurant filled up quickly. Summer House on the Lake is a great choice if you are looking for a sit-down meal with a nice atmosphere and a scenic setting. While not every dish is equally impressive, the combination of lake views, strong service, shareable desserts, and variety on the menu makes it a worthwhile stop at Disney Springs. It offers a dining experience that feels more relaxed and considered than many of the surrounding options, making it a good choice for a meal that extends beyond the typical theme park dining experience.

I allowed it to run for several minutes, assuming it needed time to warm up, but it remained cold. I initially thought it might be due to high usage, but the issue persisted the following day. I reported the problem to the front desk and was told it would be addressed, but there was no apparent resolution during my stay. Additionally, I was charged $40.47 per day for parking. Given the inconvenience of not having access to hot water for two days, I requested that the parking fees be waived as a reasonable form of compensation. Unfortunately, the response I received felt dismissive and lacking in concern. Overall, the lack of basic amenities and the handling of the situation left a negative impression.
