    Chocolate cake to die for
    Danielle D.

We had a great experience at The Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk! The French onion soup was absolutely delicious and ended up being one of my favorite things we ordered. Our server also shared a tip that I haven't seen advertised anywhere--you can add a whole sandwich to the Pick Two for only $2 more. I had the ham & goat cheese quiche and it was very mediocre. The crust was delicious, but the filling was pretty flavorless. Now for the cake... I honestly expected it to be just okay because of all the hype, but it completely exceeded my expectations. It absolutely lives up to its reputation! We ordered the chocolate cake, and the slice was enormous--easily enough for three people to share. While $22 for a slice initially sounds expensive, when you split it three ways, it's only about $7 per person, which is a pretty reasonable price for such an incredible dessert.

We just dined in at Cake Bake Shop around 10pm tonight and had the most amazing experience ever. This place was completely booked out but we were lucky enough to snag this last minute reservation. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and had the best vibes. The best part about our experience here was our server. He was awesome and truly is what we love about being at Disney. We unfortunately did not catch his name but was one of the few servers still there right before closing. On top of that, the food is delicious! The star of the show was the velvet chicken noodle soup. It had so much flavor and had the same texture as clam chowder but with chicken bits. The onion soup also had so much flavor and so cheesy! The angel hair pasta was good for the price and the portion was huge but could have had a little more flavor. The steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. The drinks here were also great. We ordered the cosmo and espresso martini which tasted pretty strong. The raspberry champagne cake was a must for us. It was so moist and tasted so fresh. The best part of our experience was when our server took the time to pixie dust us and had us make a wish at the table. Truly such an amazing experience and we appreciated that he took the time to do that right before closing. Thank you Cake Bake Shop!

The Cake Bake Shop, located on the picturesque Walt Disney Boardwalk in Bay Lake, FL, stands out as a charming bakery that delights visitors with its sugar heightened atmosphere and delectable treats. The location is beautifully decorated with a vintage, fairy-tale aesthetic, featuring pastel colors and a whimsical decor. The Cake Bake Shop is known for its stunning cakes that you can buy per slice. It will run you a pretty penny at around $25 a slice. I highly recommend the carrot cake especially if you enjoy cream cheese icing. They also have a special cake each month and I went with it being Cotton Candy flavored. The truffles and coffee are also amazing but also carry a nice Disney price. Despite the popularity of the shop and there usually being a line to get in it is a seamless experience even during busy times. It is perfectly situated on the Disney Boardwalk between Epcot and hotels so you can grab something coming and going. The Cake Bake Shop is a great choice for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or simply indulging in a sweet treat and a must on any Disney vacation.

First time, it's amazing just gorgeous place to take your wife or daughter or special occasion. Atmosphere is splendid along with the staff. Food is good and presentation is great. Highly recommended but reservations is required. My wife & daughter & rest of the family extremely enjoyed the atmosphere.

They've got a nice enough $22 sharable slice of cake ...but our experience at the quick-service bakery wasn't exactly all pixie dust and fairy like. There's some limited patio seating (which isn't exactly becoming of a place for eating ridiculously expensive cake) and the straws aren't long enough for the drinks once the ice doesn't prop them up. Just sayin'. Butt for me, though, whatever was supposed to be special about this place, this experience, was lost with buggery hospitality, stoopid house rules/queue mechanics, and managerial apathy. So, I was here filling someone else's prescription for happiness and thought a beer would help dissolve my sticker shock but that only made things worse. You see, they basically card you twice, once at the point you order and again at the point of sale. It's sort of unusual to be carded in Florida anyway and I've never been carded twice within a few seconds of each other by two different employees standing a few feet apart from one another. It's not like I'm 20 something, I haven't been carded in forever. Anyway, it wasn't so much the inconveniece or how unusual it was, but it was like they were @#$%ing with me by the way they asked. Like they've got some Simon Says Squid Games thing going on. And because I half-heartedly balked about it in a teasing way because I didn't understand the kind of thing that was going on around me, it became awkward for them and so I changed my mind. Anyway, it became a whole thing and the manager had to get involved holding up the line just to take it off the check ...even though I hadn't yet paid for or received said beer. Was a dumbo experience all the way around and put a bad taste in my mouth. Didn't help the manager slinked in and treated us like mannequins who should only be so lucky to shop here. Anyway, whatever.

Beautiful! Beautiful Beautiful! One of those most beautiful restaurants I've ever seen. The servers in there were so polite and really create a magical atmosphere for both adults and kids! I attended for lunch and I must say the avocado stack was to die for! I don't think they gave enough bread for this dish (so we had to order more - an additional $6). When my fries came they were super salty, so we sent them back and they fixed it perfectly. The burger was delicious but the chicken salad croissant was just okay. I was told it was one of the most known items on the menu so I was a bit displeased to that my bread wasn't that fresh at 1130 am.. I didn't send that item back as I felt bad complaining again, however the service and cake experience really made up for the food. The coffee was delicious as well! 10/10 my toddler, mother, and teen daughter loved it! Perfect for a girls day or a romantic date night. The high chair for my toddler was the cutest ! She felt like a princess. I definitely think it was worth the hype- I just wish for the price they can adjust some Issues with the food. Again- the food was great, just needed some adjusting! We loved it and will be back on our next Disney trip!

A bit pricy. They told us they were fully booked and there were a ton of tables opened so we asked if we could sit at the bar and they said yes but they should have offered that. Just didn't really have it together in the front. The food was good but it's crazy expensive for what you get then the desserts are always changing so they might not even have what you want, which was our case. The place is very pretty and elegant but the service is subpar. Not impressed and I do t feel like it's living up to Disney standards !

Was it worth it? Yes and beyond. Calm, beautiful, comfortable, and fancy. I loved the floral decor in soft pink and white flowers with twinkle lights. Definitely a fairy tale vibe yet down to earth delicious food and enjoyable service. There is a quality to everything. It was a special time. We went for afternoon tea. My view out the wonderful large window was green and lush landscaping. That added to how relaxing my experience was. I also liked the table lamps. Classy and cozy. We started by sniffing the different teas. If that makes no sense, watch one of the review videos of tea here. I enjoyed that. Sniffing the tea blends like this was a new experience for me. I learned and appreciated tea in new ways. Next, a delicious lemon blueberry scone with the butter, jam, and clotted cream, always a part of this kind of tea event. That was followed by savory tomato soup with a dollop of seasoned crème fraiche, served in a demitasse small cup. Again, full of flavor and presented so well. The tower of delights came next. Exquisite and generous. I really enjoyed our server, Steven, a great person committed to provide an excellent experience at an amazing place.

It's a classic tourist trap. The cake was ok but not so incredibly outstanding that I'd pay $22+ for another slice in the future. The flavors were good and it was pretty moist but nothing super special. Tastes like basic good quality bakery cake. The trio of flavors were good. The almond paste was very good. Overall cool experience but definitely a one and done thing.

A must-visit spot for any foodie who loves cake! First off, bring your camera to take pictures of how beautiful the shop and displays are, literally everything shines and sparkles. Try to go during off hours so you can easily roam around and look at the dessert options. Second, the drinks are just as good as the cakes so be sure to save room for a fancy beverage. Lastly, you can't go wrong with your selection as everything we sampled was delicious. This place is pricey, so come prepared to pay premium Disney vacation prices.

The bartender was great! He made us what he thought we needed and he was so right!!! So much showmanship! So much fun!

Cake Bake is a delightful experience. It's pricey but it's not somewhere you are going to go all the time. It's an experience and it is lovely! The place feels like a treat! It's a mix of friends, people on dates, a few with children, a little bit of everything. It was enjoyable. We sat at the bar and the bartenders ate such a vibe! They make great suggestions, and are engaging and professional. It's great vacation and staycation vibes no matter you are doing.

I've been here twice now, one time for lunch and one time for breakfast and both times were delicious, 10/10! The ambience is soooo beautiful and girly, feels like you're walking into a fairytale. I love the edible glitter on the food and drinks, makes things feel extra special. The service was great both times as well and the food came out fast. It's fun to walk through the gift shop afterward too, lots of cute accessories to browse through and all the cakes and desserts are on display. Will definitely be back!

We came here while staying at the Swan, and it's definitely not the best place for toddlers. The place is beautiful and very regal, with very intricate designs / use of porcelain for basically everything. Our server was fantastic, but his support teammate was definitely frustrated by the vibe our tired kiddos had during the dinner (which was at 5 PM and the restaurant wasn't too full). Food was generally good / had a kids menu, and the dessert was very heavy, but delicious. As others have mentioned, this place is expensive, so not sure this will be a staple for our future visits to the Boardwalk.

    Do they offer military discount?

Honestly, it varies by place at WDW. I DID get a Disney Visa discount there. It was like 10-15% but better than nothing. I would think they would if they offered me that.

How much do they charge for a bag to carry out your purchases from the fast serve area? I was asked "would you like to buy a bag to carry your stuff out today", gave a weird look and say no and no bag was given...

$1.99 to $2.99 depending on the size. You should have bought the bag....it taste better than their cake!

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

These events used to be relatively easy to attend, but thanks to social media influencers, they have become extremely popular. The lines can get enormous, especially from Friday through Sunday. My advice is to visit Tuesday through Thursday and arrive early. The food was great, and the presentation--especially for the Halloween offerings--was fantastic and definitely Instagram-worthy. The specialty drinks were delicious and surprisingly strong for a Disney restaurant, although they do come with the expected Disney price tag. I've also visited when the bar wasn't decorated for a holiday, and it was still a great time. The regular food offerings are just as good, and the portions are fairly generous. The standard drinks are also perfectly enjoyable. If the weather isn't too hot, I recommend sitting outside by the lake. You'll have a beautiful view of the boats passing by, and the scenery around sunset is incredible. A fantastic spot for food, drinks, atmosphere, and the occasional archaeological revelation.
