I was going to make the drive anyway and first called to see if the item was in stock. The person who helped me was kind and quickly found the item and put multiple sizes on hold for me. They ended up asking where I was driving from and actually told me that I might be able to find the item closer, which I did saving me hours of driving! I feel bad because I didn't end up purchasing from Juniper but my experience left me feeling really taken care of and I will absolutely be shopping here in the future when I have the chance. A staff member named Bernard was working at the time, and he helped answer questions. I picked some nice lavender tea. Then my stepdaughter bought it for me. She knows I'm a tea-freak, lol! They also have HK Egg Waffles with original, chocolate, and matcha flavors. Unfortunately, they only have original flavor today. There is only 1 person working the counter, making the drinks, and egg waffles so have some patience. The customers come in waves, one minute it is empty or a few customers, next minute it's crowded. Tea is flavorful and refreshing. The egg waffles are crispy on the outside though no filling in the middle. Recommend you eat it while it's hot/fresh though don't burn your mouth. A Breach of Trust Disguised as Hospitality…read more My visit to Home Kingdom was marked by misleading signage, dismissive treatment, and a concerning absence of basic respect. The store displays a prominent American Express welcome sign, yet when I attempted to pay with Amex, the owner scoffed and said, "Didn't you read the sign?" I replied, "Why would I? You have an Amex logo right there." She pointed to a hastily taped-over Mastercard logo, an attempt at correction that borders on false advertising--or at the very least, deceptive practice. Already wearing the elastic bracelets I intended to purchase (which are difficult to remove without breaking), I explained I needed to grab my wallet from my truck and asked if I could return to pay. Rather than responding with basic decency, she replied coldly, "I don't know you." I said, "And now I don't trust you either--see how that works?" I left my phone as collateral, returned quickly, and paid in cash. To top it all off, the irony of a large sign near the entrance reading "Remember, as far as anyone knows, we're a nice normal family" was not lost on me. It's hard to laugh when that kind of messaging is used to cover for behavior that is, frankly, the opposite. A curated facade can only hide so much--what's beneath matters more. This was my first and final visit. Trust, once broken, is not easily repaired--and Home Kingdom made no effort to try.
