Local retail seems to be becoming less and less. All Seasons at Ari's Treasures in Setauket epitomizes what a local retailer should be. The owners, Jeff and Monica Aston are natives to the Setauket area and are a pleasure to deal with. I have been shopping there for several years and I feel that they really keep in tune with the changing needs of the community. Their inventory reflects the quaint, beachy vibe of our beautiful hamlet on the North Shore of Long Island. I purchased everything from beautiful window candles which are on year-round in my house, to soothing chimes. Most recently, my husband and I enlisted Jeff to do a beautiful custom sign for our son's wedding. We couldn't be happier with the result and cannot wait to give the kids the sign in three weeks.

The owner of the store tells employees not to talk or be friendly with customers. This is incredibly unwelcoming and causes the employees to act soulless and robotic, even people in these reviews mention it. The more friendly you are, the more people want to do business with you, believe me, I worked retail for a decade, I have a clue. I had made a friend in the bayshore store that kept getting into trouble talking to us, but talking to her actually made us buy more things! One time I came in when the store had an hour left open and the girl that was there was being rude and rushing us, so she could leave and close the store! Turns out it was the daughter of the owner. To make matters worse, I bought a heart crystal and gave it to a friend. Apparently it was a fake crystal! My friend dropped it by accident! I don't necessarily blame the store since anyone can get scammed, but I would just say be careful and make sure the crystal is real. Especially with those prices! The thing that gets me the most about Breathe is the soulless ness and unfriendliness vibe that the employees are forced into. There's so many other crystal stores where employees are friendly and fun to talk to! Not Breathe, it just gives me a "meh" feeling, I'd much rather go somewhere else than breathe. On 2/15 I drove back out to the store with the intention of getting a refund and being done with the experience. Well, they don't take refunds. Just store credit in exchange. Needless to say, I'm not happy. Now I have to wait and see if the store gets a new watch in exchange for the malfunctioning one. What I don't understand is, I came back the very next day, with the item and proved it wasn't working properly. How does that warrant a refund? This makes no sense at all.
