The store displays a prominent American Express welcome sign, yet when I attempted to pay with Amex, the owner scoffed and said, "Didn't you read the sign?" I replied, "Why would I? You have an Amex logo right there." She pointed to a hastily taped-over Mastercard logo, an attempt at correction that borders on false advertising--or at the very least, deceptive practice. Already wearing the elastic bracelets I intended to purchase (which are difficult to remove without breaking), I explained I needed to grab my wallet from my truck and asked if I could return to pay. Rather than responding with basic decency, she replied coldly, "I don't know you." I said, "And now I don't trust you either--see how that works?" I left my phone as collateral, returned quickly, and paid in cash. To top it all off, the irony of a large sign near the entrance reading "Remember, as far as anyone knows, we're a nice normal family" was not lost on me. It's hard to laugh when that kind of messaging is used to cover for behavior that is, frankly, the opposite. A curated facade can only hide so much--what's beneath matters more. This was my first and final visit. Trust, once broken, is not easily repaired--and Home Kingdom made no effort to try.

On 2/15 I drove back out to the store with the intention of getting a refund and being done with the experience. Well, they don't take refunds. Just store credit in exchange. Needless to say, I'm not happy. Now I have to wait and see if the store gets a new watch in exchange for the malfunctioning one. What I don't understand is, I came back the very next day, with the item and proved it wasn't working properly. How does that warrant a refund? This makes no sense at all.

Trudy who is the artist was a doll. Sweet and kind, I was able to have conversation with her. (I can't stand when I go to a tattoo/piercing place, nail or hair salon and people don't have conversation). She is a great artist. I chose a design that was pictured on here and saved it to my phone for her to work off of. They also have TONS of designs to choose from in the boutique. The time it took to do the design was quick and she worked fast and precise. She went over the after care instructions/ tips with me. All in all it was a wonderful experience. My henna right now is a brownish, orange color and I was told in another day it will set into that dark henna color so I can't wait ! Recommend this place for sure. Will be back :)

Melinda produced everything in very reasonable time and the finished product (addressed envelopes too!) was gorgeous ...we got so many compliments!! after the wedding, we ordered thank you cards with some pictures that matched the style and theme of invites, and they too were gorgeous!
