First, I called them about nine times before someone finally picked up the phone. They are incredibly difficult to get in touch with. I was told that there was only one girl manning the phones, so she had to decline my call. If you're boarding your dog somewhere, that shouldn't happen or even be a possibility. If I can't reliably get in touch with someone, how am I supposed to feel comfortable leaving my puppy there for an extended period of time? Second, I saw poop sitting in one of the premium kennels. There wasn't even a dog in the kennel, yet while I was on a tour, no one had cleaned it up. That was pretty concerning to see, especially during a tour where you would expect the facility to be presented at its best. Third, there was a woman at the front desk who couldn't stop complaining about this or that. It came across as extremely unprofessional. The entire tour also felt more like an advertisement for the facility than an opportunity to understand why the employees actually enjoy working with dogs. The whole experience felt very artificial, and ultimately, I didn't feel comfortable trusting the people there with my dog. Again, the actual facility itself might be perfectly fine. I didn't see anything truly horrible while walking through, but the overall environment did feel very much like a hospital. For me, though, the lack of communication and the things I experienced during the tour were enough to make me look elsewhere. If you can't reliably get someone on the phone or receive a response to an email, I don't feel comfortable leaving my puppy there for an extended period of time.

The place is immaculate, plenty of toys, water, walks, and one on one cuddling. I was updated every couple of hours with picture and text. I had to give myself some time before leaving this review because I wanted to be thoughtful and…read morethorough. We have been boarding our sweet girl with Musbro since she was a puppy. She was always excited to go when we pulled up and never hesitated when they came to take her from us. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. A few weeks ago, we dropped her off on a Thursday for a 10-day stay. The following Tuesday, the owner called me to let me know that she was refusing to get up. He asked if she had recently been showing any stubbornness about going outside. He said she had eaten fine that morning but that he had noticed a decline in her energy. He told me he would keep a close eye on her and call me back with an update. About an hour later, he called again and said that her breathing appeared to be labored and that they recommended she be seen by a veterinarian. They offered to transport her to my vet, even though it was a 28-minute drive from Musbro. I called the vet to give them a heads-up, but after hearing about her symptoms, they recommended that she go straight to an emergency hospital. Once again, Musbro offered to take her wherever I wanted. I chose VEG in Nanuet because it was the closest option. The owner's daughter personally drove our girl there, gave me her personal number so I could reach her directly, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and stayed with her the whole time. Unfortunately, an emergency ultrasound revealed that she had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured. Sadly, something like this can remain hidden until it's too late, and there was nothing that could be done. We were 14 hours away and would not have made it home in time. Knowing that she wasn't alone means more to us than I can put into words. If I couldn't be there with her at the end, I am so grateful that she had a familiar and caring face by her side. We are absolutely heartbroken to have lost our baby, but we are incredibly grateful for the love, compassion, and quick action Musbro showed our family. I am especially thankful that they recognized the change in her behavior so quickly, got her the care she needed, and helped prevent her from suffering any longer than necessary. I have always recommended Musbro to others, and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't think twice about trusting them in the future. They treated our girl like she was their own, and for that, we will always be grateful. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog when you can't be there, I cannot recommend Musbro highly enough. Knowing how they cared for our girl when we were 14 hours away is something our family will never forget.

Art of k9 I can not…read moresay enough good things about Angelo and Art of K9. When we found him we were in a desperate situation. Our dog was totally out of control and having recently but our baby, we didn't know what to do. Angelo took our dog within a week and a half of contacting him and helped guide us along the way until we were able to drop him off. We committed our dog to the 8 week program, unsure of what to expect but hoping for the best. We knew this was a last resort. It's now been about 6 months since we have picked our dog up from the program and I can confidently say that it was the best decision we could have made for our family. Not only is he more controlled, he is actually a joy to be around and have around our child. He listens to commands and we find ourselves very rarely needing to correct bad behavior as it doesn't really happen. We went from having a dog who would never come when called, bark uncontrollably, destroy toys and furniture, to a dog who immediately goes to place on a cot when someone knocks on the door (without being prompted) and lets out a few alert barks and stops once i say enough. We no longer have to worry about aggression with our child. He is great about listening when we get him away from her and often will walk away from her on his own when before he would growl. Additionally Angelo has checked in to see how our dog is doing, if any issues have come up, and whenever he needs a training refresh we have been able to bring him back.
