We brought our puppy to Musbro Kennels for an overnight when we had to attend a Wedding out of state!! We were hoping he would do well away from us .... He hadn't really been exposed to other dogs at that point. He was only five months old. When we picked him up, he was so happy!!! The owner said he had a great time running around and playing with the other dogs!!! He didn't want to get in the car That was a good sign to us that he really loved being there! We have brought our puppy back, sometimes just for daycare and sometimes for a weekend visit! All of the staff is loving and attentive! We highly recommend Musbro Kennels! Groomers do a bad job ,, you keep the pets too long .. if someone drops off a pet at 8am, you would expect to be finished no more than 2 hours. But they kept my dog 5 hours in a small cage ..for 5 hours .. she was traumatized when I took him home. The groomers do lazy work ,,no trimming on the on the under carriage or in between paw pads. Owner is rude doesn't care if you don't like the service, it's as if he's doing you a big favor. And his daughter ..that works there is a clown who can't do anything more than answer phones. I have an 11 year old wheaten terrier with a few health conditions. At first, trying to find a groomer who was gentle with older dogs and was able to bath her properly was difficult , until I found Musbro. Brianna from Musbro has been grooming my dog for a while now and she always does an awesome job with her. Since they do such a great job grooming my dog, I decided to board her there for a week. I just picked her up and my dog couldn't be HAPPIER. I was originally a bit nervous about leaving her since she has to be medicated twice a day and has strict feeding instructions. When I dropped her off Greg reassured me that they would take really good care of her and they really did. My family and I couldn't be more pleased with Musbro. This place truly loves animals. We found this spot kind of last minute the day before heading out of town. They were very accommodating! We love the play opportunities and the large space - our pooch looked great after her bath. Bonus that they offer a limited Sunday pickup. Would love some information on how our dog did over the stay - there were no notes (assuming notes are negative), but we'd love to hear anything about how she did. I had to cancel a trip in Aug and I left a deposit that they wanted to hold a spot for my dog, when I said I had to cancel and would not be boarding they refused to give me my deposit back. I had no problems with other places I had to cancel which costed way more than this boarding fee. Very sad a neighborhood place wants to steal money for services not rendered. beware booking here if your plans need to change, and with all the travel issues plans most likely they will change. Musbro is a great place to leave your dog for the day or overnight. I just picked up our dog, Wiley, and he has an ear to ear smile on his face! We have a pitbull mix whom Musbro treats fantastically and lets him play with similar dogs to burn off his high energy! I would recommend Musbro to anyone with dog sitting needs. I cannot recommend Musbro Kennels enough. Anyone who claims that they cheat them out of one thing or have false claims about another needs to open their eyes. And they also need to be kind (something most people have forgotten about lately). This is a family run business who cares about the animals they watch and board, their employees and their customers. If one complains about them ever needing to close (which they have yet to do and have to stagger their family time away), it's as if you're saying that your vacation is more important than theirs. My dog attends daycare there regularly and we board him often, and he is out-of-his-mind excited every time we arrive. Furthermore, there was once an incident with my dog and another (nothing serious - they are animals!), and they could not have handled it more professionally or perfectly. They take good care of my dog, he loves it the moment we walk in, he is happy and that's always a good sign. I can not express how much my dog and I LOVE Musbro! He gets very excited as we pull up and basically leaps out of the car to the front door. The staff is really wonderful and accommodating and you can tell they care about the animals in their care. I went away for a week last winter and had our dog boarded and he was very happy and tired when we picked him up. I also recommend their grooming services- my dog has never had an issue despite being a little immature and mouthy. Greg who runs the facility is a no nonsense ( not to mention very kind) person who takes his job seriously. I KNOW my dog is in good and capable hands with Greg and the staff. I wish I could give this place less than one star, but our dog was at least kept alive so there's that. Our dog stayed with Musbro for 2 weeks and when we picked her up she was seriously injured (they didn't even notice!), neglected, emaciated (we could feel every bone), shell shocked and terrified. It took 3 weeks for her injury to heal, a month before she gained weight back, and about a week before she started acting like herself again. We thought that with all the great reviews (my own family pets have come here for 20+ years) that she'd be well taken care of, but this was the exact opposite of what happened. This was our dog's first (and only) time staying with Musbro, and we told them she's great with other dogs, well behaved, attends doggie daycare and has been boarded many times before without issue. They told us she would get lots of outdoor playtime with the other pups, and when we called to check in on her, they told us she was doing great and playing outside with the other dogs. She's usually more shy and sticks closer to the humans, asking for belly rubs, so we thought this was a little odd but we didn't question them. When my boyfriend went to pick her up after we returned, he immediately noticed how skinny she looked and also that she was badly limping. The staff said nothing about an injury, claimed they never noticed anything, and when he examined her paw it was red, raw and missing patches of skin. They said it could've been from the gravel, but this literally looked like she stepped in chemicals, and it was all on one paw so this theory made no sense. They also suggested that maybe she did it to herself (out of depression??) but there was no way she physically could have from that angle, plus she's never self-mutilated before- EVER. They paid for her to see the vet next door (as they should have) and she was given antibiotics, steroids and bandaged up in a cast. She couldn't walk on this paw for 3 weeks. During her pick up, my boyfriend received some other conflicting information from the staff, so I called to speak with the owner the next day to figure out what happened. He was extremely rude, defensive, condescending and spoke over me the ENTIRE conversation...I could barely speak or ask a question. I was not yelling or acting belligerent in any way (as I mentioned, my family has a longstanding relationship with them), I just wanted to calmly find out the facts. He told me that our dog was kept SEGREGATED from all of the other dogs the ENTIRE 2 WEEKS she was there because she was "new" and they "didn't know how she would react to other dogs" even though we explicitly told them she goes to daycare and boarding. He said "everyone thinks they know their dog but dogs behave differently when the owners aren't around" and chewed my ear off about dogs who don't come in when called (and his "people can't waste HOURS of their time trying to get them inside") and tear the place up... we would have been happy to provide references if we were told this was a concern!! Also wouldn't it make sense to try her for a few days and see how she behaves first hand, instead of subjecting her to jail for 2 WEEKS?? He said this is HIS business and HIS policy and HE can run it HOWEVER HE WANTS TO and that "people think they can just GO AWAY and LEAVE their dogs and they want ALL of these things"....I was shocked because A) this is what your business does!! and B) we asked for NO special treatment of any kind! Typical food, typical time outside with the rest of the dogs, no medications, no nothing. When I asked if any of the staff visited with her at all for belly rubs (since she was SEGREGATED FROM ALL OTHER CONTACT), he said this was a very busy time for them with SO MANY other dogs and his "people don't have time for that". WHY would you take on more dogs than you can handle appropriately??? It makes total sense as to why they didn't notice her injury, because THEY NEVER SPENT TIME WITH HER OR LET HER OUT OF HER JAIL CELL. PS they still charged us the full $800 for her "stay". read more

We entrusted our fussy, difficult Jack Russell to this family-run business for two days running and we're extremely pleased with getting the non-socialised care we had asked for: private enclosure, constant access to private dog run, caring and enthusiastic atmosphere, a most happy dog, who can ask for more? First time at Doggy Day Care for preparation for a 2 week stay. Our little 50+pound Lab / Hound mix was accepted in . Shawn's caring attitude on the phone had me feeling like I was leaving my 11 month old puppy in good hands. When we came back to get her, the owner Craig gushed about how she interacted with the other dogs and he grew attached to her. Craig seemed mostly business when we first met him-but the love spilt out of him. That's how I became sold on Musbro. The place is meticulously maintained. I had a similar experience as another poster. Took my dog in on Saturday for what was supposed to be just an overnight I was told that the owner would be away for pick up on Sunday so I couldn't get my dog until Monday but I wouldn't be charged for the extra day. I have used Musbro before and have been pleased but usually for a longer stay. Don't kennel my dog very often so it had been awhile. We had gone back and forth about which shots my dog needed but I told them that I had an appointment with the vet and would get all shots necessary which I did. I thought it was perfectly clear that I had made a reservation. When I showed up the girl at the desk very rudely told me that I hadn't made a reservation. When I said I thought I had she "informed" me of my mistake. Either your going to take the dog or not. If I'd had a choice I would have just left but I didn't. I said yes to the bath. They also informed me when I was there that I still had to pay for the Sunday even though I didn't want to leave her there all day. They said that's the way they always do it. Even if I was picking up on Sunday. They should explain that on the phone. The bath they gave her was just a bath. She's a 30 lb short hair dog that I don't get groomed and giving her a bath takes 5 mins. I should have done it myself. They did trim her nails but again I do that myself all the time so I didn't need it done. Overall my bill was $137 for what was supposed to be an overnight stay. I called the owner to say that I honestly couldn't believe how much it turned out to be and to inform him that the girl was extremely rude and he really didn't care he said that I should have known about the Sunday charge and how much the bath was because I'd boarded her before 2 YEARS ago. My daughter picked her up so I didn't realize that they also took off her Ceresto collar which is only a month old and didn't put it back. I don't even want to deal with them again so I guess I've lost the $70 for the Ceresto collar. read more

Made appointment to have doggo boarded felt rushed off the phone and guy was speaking so fast like he had one too many red bulls. Not being a vet I thought they only needed standards vaccines. Turns out that was not the case as I heard from my vet place who called in their stead to inform me of the clarification. I had to call Musbro again to see if there was a workaround and was informed they are so busy blah blah blah. A bit caustic and snobby still speaking like had too many energy drinks. Needless to say I canceled the reservation. I groomed there before the shampoo they used was so pungent it was nauseating and the kerchief was way too tight. The young man who brought doggo out was nice although had to request his sweater back. Odd. Also his nails were cracked. It takes too much energy to deal with people who are not clear about what is needed by a new client and could care less about good business practices. **Also mask was not on when I first entered the place. read more

I booked this place for both of my dogs to stay for 5 days, after I picked them up both of them had straight diarrhea for 3 days on the 4th day both of them couldn't stop vomiting, after that took them to the vet and informed them I left there at a kennel for 5 days the vet told me they both came back with an infection. Both of my dogs were healthy and never been sick until I took them there. read more

I went here to pick up my friends dog from being groomed. The groomer (Lisa) came out holding Max and hugging him. She introduced herself and said how much she loves him. I got the feeling that she genuinely does love the dogs. Sadly I called last week to schedule an appointment for my dogs but I was told that Lisa doesn't work there anymore. The staff tried to have me schedule with the new groomer but I am very particular when it comes to my babies. I will keep them with their current groomer and one day maybe I'll try Musbro again. read more

Excellent Service and Excellent Care! We brought our 5 year old Golden Retriever to Musbro for a 4 night stay and were very pleased. Our Golden is not a typical Golden. He has some difficult behaviors but Greg and his staff were great with our dog. He was even groomed which is a miracle in itself! Our dog looked and smelled great when we picked him up. We would recommend Musbro in a second flat. They are great people, very professional and were very loving towards our dog. He was well taken care of and we will always go back to Musbro. read more

What a great place! Our pup stayed for three weeks and after touring multiple places Musbro stood out. The owner is very friendly and clearly cares and loves for the animals in his care. The dogs have their own outdoor play space as well as rooms - not cages, this was important to us because our pup is a rescue. When we picked her up she was so happy and even lost some weight from all of the exercising and playing they let her do! Also their grooming is great - our dogs nails have never been so short and quiet! We will definitely be returning. read more
