We happened to be out on Jensen Beach Blvd and wandered into this AWESOME Italian restaurant. Very quaint great ambiance , this was a very nice surprise. Since we never have been, we ordered their tour of Italy for two. It had A Meatball, Sausage, 2 Chicken Parm, 2 Manicotti, 2 Ravioli, and 1 eggplant Florentine and two excellent salads. Get ready to be amazed!!! First, the wait staff was awesome, very attentive and professional. Then the food. HOME RUN CITY, Each item was delicious. The chicken parm was one of the best I could remember. The eggplant was amazing and so was everything else. I needed a forklift truck to pick us up and move us out because we could only finish about half of our order. Just want to say thanks to the awesome owners and staff. This is a place you must try if you are out in Jensen Beach. The best news is we have leftovers for tomorrow to remember just how FANTASTIC Gigi's is. Looking forward to visiting again real soon. 3.75 stars. The food was delicious, the salad dressing was a little sweet and the sauce was sweet too, which were pluses for me. The service was great when it came, but there were long gaps between and the lady in the kitchen noticed and would spur the waitstaff into action. The place is on the smaller side, dark and very old fashioned, which are great features for a classic Italian restaurant in my opinion. It was like eating at one of the little neighborhood restaurants in NY. My negatives are the spotty service, the servers were 25 feet away and didn't seem to care to give a glance. My iced tea was made with tap water... Unfiltered and tasted horrible. Finally, the restaurant is cash only. Yes, they do offer alternative ways to pay such as Cashapp, Apple Pay, Zelle, etc, which l felt was a bit unusual. In closing, the food was great! Tasty and well made. Tap water to paying customers!? Hard to give a three but I just had to. Sunday night table with 8 people. Garlic bread was so hard. Definitely left overs from Saturday night. Slightly burnt on the bottoms. Hard to eat. Salad was not cut fresh. Shriveled up tomato's and lettuce. It looked a little rough. Our dinners were very good. No complaints there. Disappointed in the pre entree food. I'm so fickle. At the insistence of friends, we dined at another Italian restaurant in the area that I thought was quite good. In a moment of false euphoria, I declared it my new favorite Italian restaurant. Yes, it was good but after returning to Gigi's a week later, I once again realized that while the other restaurant was very good, Gigi's is spectacular. Our meals were simple pastas. Wife ordered spaghetti and I once again had the gnocchi. Everything (flavors, textures and taste) reminded us why Gigi's is so special. Restaurant can get extremely busy and servers are even busier but somehow it works and our dining experience was once again perfect. read more

The food here is absolutely amazing. It is a cash only establishment so bring cash. They do Zelle and Venmo too. We got the Lombardy pizza which is a Gorgonzola Ricotta and mozzarella pizza with a balsamic glaze. It's extremely good and the garlic knots here are the best garlic knots I've ever had and that saying a lot. the fried calamari was cooked perfect. then we got the veal eggplant parmigiana is exquisite l. the service here was very good. our server Sebastian was a really good server. We really enjoyed his service. Everything was very good. They had the lights turned down nice Italian music playing in the background. all in all one of the nicest Italian restaurants I've been to in this area. Hmmmm....wanted to love this place and have been meaning to try it for quite awhile. Honestly every time I thought about it before, the cash only policy stopped me. This time we made a concerted effort and went to the ATM prior in hopes of a new favorite Italian spot. Not sure I succeeded but am willing to return. Here's why. The good. Service with a smile. Friendly, efficient and accommodating. What more could you ask for in that category? The bad? Nothing really. Just "not quite there" when it came to the food and the ambiance. The garlic rolls, while complementary and tasty, were a little tough and a couple were burnt. The salad had a tasty balsamic but other than some onion chunks and one small piece of tomato had nothing else to offer. My Linguini Carbonara, which I ordered to check its authenticity and because the menu said it's a "dry pasta dish" was very saucy. Again, it didn't taste bad but didn't quite deliver on its promise, either. We also ordered a 14" Supreme Pizza. My husband enjoyed it (I didn't try). The half carafe of house Chianti was delicious. The ambiance just looked as though they gave up about 20 years ago. Clean, tidy and orderly but nowhere near its potential. I noticed on the website that the restaurant is "still open but is for sale because after 53 years it's just time." And it shows. I hope someone takes it over and gives it the love and attention it deserves. In the meantime, I may give it another try. read more

My husband and I had a friend recommend! And he was absolutely correct! It's a small quaint family run restaurant. We missed the cash only sign that was clearly posted in the front door and window - we had already ordered beverages when I noticed the sign in the window ... embarrassed we asked where a local ATM may be - they would have preferred we had cash but fear not - Venmo to the rescue! With that we ordered dinner and man oh man do they do their Nonna proud! Meatballs were super tender and the sauce amazing - deep in flavor and you would think Nonna, her self, was back in the kitchen!! The eggplant variations are amazing and delicate and definitely NOT bitter or tough (over breaded) as eggplant sometimes can be. The affogato (espresso served over gelato) rounded out a perfect meal and a lovely evening! Portions are plentiful and I typically have enough for lunch the next day!! This is a family owned business, also run by the family. We ordered drinks appetizers and entrées and all of the food was just superb. This is true Italian food. What a find! What a jewel! Here's the thing...we are visitors and new to Jensen Beach area. We had gone to ( obv new to us) 'The Dolphin,' but, very unlike us to do so, left. We sat at the bar awaiting dinner seating. The bartender literally did not say hello and stood mute in front of us...then said, " Do you want a drink?" Unceremoniously, he served my husband a small- glassed flat vodka soda. My husband very politely said to a new craggly bartender, I'm sorry to have to say, but this is flat." She met that with pursed lips and with disdain said, 'Well it all comes from the same system ." After a beat, "Are you going to oder something else?" That something else was slid over to him with rather a thud. No more words. So, we left without any more ordering or food. Then! Happy days! We found the cutest, most charming little Italian restaurant. The decor and the lovely hostess welcomed us with smiles as did a delightful, professional,and most personable,waiter who suggested a table I would feel warmest at ( no one else is cold-- always me!). We got outstanding egglant dishes..outstanding! The sauce was Nonna-perfect! The eggplant tender, not mushy whatsoever. The sauce, the best! The included -garlic bread, to die for, and the inclu- dinner salad, fresh and crisp with a light balsamic dressing. Portions were for kings! This is probably the best Italian restaurant I've been to in the US. We eat here literally every time we happen to be in the area. There's something special about restaurants that fly under the radar. From the outside, you might not think it's anything special. Instead of wasting time on perfecting a chic atmosphere, they've built a cozy Italian eatery where the menu speaks for itself. There's a reason they've been successful for 50 years, and it comes down to the detail and craft behind their food. Our table this time got the red meat sauce gnocchi, spaghetti primavera, and Lombardy pizza. Every aspect of the meal--from sauce to dough--is home made. I've previously tried their eggplant Florentina and pesto ravioli which were both crazy delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I'm still working my way through the menu and 100% plan on trying everything. I've noticed that while they're liberal in seasonings and flavor, it never overwhelms the base of the dish. The brand of wine they carry is also a perfect companion to the meal. Indoor and outdoor seating, the meals are reasonably priced. Plus you're guaranteed to come home with leftovers because the dishes are so big. The staff has been so friendly each time, very much a family atmosphere. And the wait for your food to come out isn't long either (maybe 15 min?)--though it helps that they serve complimentary Parmesan garlic knots! Most meals it seems (aside from pizza) also come with a side salad drizzled with a house vinaigrette. Be sure to come a little earlier on the weekends (around 6) to avoid the wait. And it's a CASH ONLY establishment. But absolutely worth an ATM stop to experience this. We'll be back as soon as we can! read more

What a gem! My husband and I were looking for a restaurant for a date night and we are so happy we found Gigi's. We were blown away. The penne ala vodka was so delicious and authentic, salad was so good, pizza was the best we've ever had and the the tiramisu is to die for. Food was overall amazing but what really made our experience special was how we felt eating in this place. The restaurant felt like home during the holidays- beautiful, cozy and warm. We met Joe and Sebastian (father and son) who are just so sweet, professional and hardworking. We immediately felt like family. We felt the love that was put in this place. Please continue to support this family owned business (since 1973). We will definitely be a regular customer. We will bring our whole family and friends next time. I can not say that i have been to a better italian restaurant in my life. I think we honestly ordered one of everything... or at least that's what it felt like. My sister was blown away enough that she is using this restaurant to cater her wedding three counties away. Every bite was better than the last and I can honestly say I daydream about the bruschetta and the cannolis. I believe for the five of us, we ordered three ordered of rolls for the table. I could not stop eating this amazing food. The chef came out to talk to us and I can honestly say this is generational cuisine. Came in for dinner this evening, showed up kinda late. However, was greeted very warmly by the server, I don't think he ever mentioned his name. Tall kid with shaggy hair, did a great job at tending to our requests. Garlic knots came to the table - delicious, the pasta dishes are served with a salad. Wish I knew this as I would've ordered something other than balsamic dressing (unless that's the only option unsure of this). They have a single unisex restroom which was relatively clean, the decor was very Italian and brought me back to home sweet home (new jersey) which is my standard of pizza. They have garlic powder available by request, we ordered the rigatoni alla vodka with shrimp, was great! The pizza was delicious- we didn't order anything special just plain cheese. Just the old school Italian we were looking for! This sweet place is our new favorite. The crab mushroom stuffed appetizer was insane! It could be a meal in itself with warm garlic butter bread. What a varied menu from just about anything you want Italian. AND it's real Italian. The restaurant is run by all family members. So everything is made fresh. If you have almost fifty years in business under your belt, you must be doing something right. What Gigi's Italian Restaurant has been doing for almost half a century is bringing good Italian food to the Treasure Coast area. Though the interior is a bit dated, I personally like it. To me, it reminds me of the old-school Italian restaurants that I would go to growing up in New Jersey. After reading the reviews I'm shocked. We did not have the same experience unfortunately. I called ahead to check if they had gluten free options and was happy to find they did. We both ordered "veal piccata " mine was gluten free. Not certain it was as it seemed to have a flour coating. Will know shortly if I was right. I'm almost certain it was pork cutlet not veal. But didn't eat much as I was afraid of it being gluten but also it just straight up wasn't good. The sauce was gross, the texture was gross and there weren't any capers. BeSide all of that we had ordered sides of pasta which were forgotten and didn't come out till my dad had already finished his entree and I had given up on mine. So disappointing as so many people recommended it to us and the reviews were good. We won't go back! read more
