I'm feeling a kind of way. The nail work at this salon, particularly by the lady in the first chair facing the door, is very well done, she's clearly talented with designs and decor. Her attitude came across as unwelcoming and dismissive. No matter how skilled the work is, customer service and demeanor matter just as much, and the overall experience made me not want to return. read more

DO NOT COME HERE ! At first i really liked this place but the past few times ive went my toes always looked crooked or shaped horrible and i always had to fix when i went home. The more I went to this place my toe nail got weak and constantly break easily. This past visit I made today 6/25/26 the women who did my nails could not understand me and my request and she clipped my skin off horribly to where i was bleeding and they're still stinging hours later. read more

2 nail techs in a row did terrible work. I paid to have a full set put on and the nails started falling off in 2 days. I went back to have them fixed and get the other one that were lifting up fixed and was charged another $50 by a male this time. The nails actually stayed on for Christmas but he never filed them Close to the cuticle and they catch on everything including my hair when putting it up. After going there twice and paying over $100 total For the nails plus tipping both times I DO NOT recommend this place. It use to be good but that's only if you can get an appointment with the one tech. You know your nails will be ok. They are friendly but do not do a good job. read more

Avoid!! Went in for a dip manicure. My previous manicure had grown out and I just asked that the color was removed, a light trim and the same color and shape applied. The guy doing my nails cut them wayyy too short to the point he had cut some skin and ended up putting extensions on every nail (didn't size right either). He also tried to clip off all of the dip instead of soaking/filing off. While he's attempting the do my nails - he gave me a color booklet that were apparently all out then gave me another booklet that of 6 watches, only 1 had color that they actually had. When I asked to speak to the manager she didn't bother apologizing or trying to correct the terrible job. Everything was so bad that I left with the extensions on. All in all, I would avoid. Terrible quality, poor customer service and poor ownership! read more

I got a shellac on a Monday morning the man was in a hurry when it came to using the UV light. He would put the next coat on before waiting until the UV would shut off. ( I figured at this point it was going to be a problem ) By Friday my nails started chipping. Unfortunately I won't go back for various reasons. The salon was dirty the appointment desk was covered in dust, while employees sat there and looked at their phones. read more

this place gives prejudice and it gives horrible customer service. They overcharged me very bad. Messed up my nails I came back the next day to get it fixed and they denied me and treated me like crap after I spent over $130 and I tipped. I would like for everyone to stop going there because they need to treat people better. Most of them don't know how to lay acrylic. They put some type of fake powder on my nails and they were supposed to be white powder nails they turned blue the next day. They were so nasty to me all because they put some bad powder on my nails and I wanted they fixed smh. We have to start spending our money where it is appreciated and respected. I will never in my life go here again. Oh and the young lady that sits at that chair to the left in that second row. I don't know who you think you are but I been saw through you prejudice and ugly spirit you have. I hope God works on you. You could have fixed my nails but you refused. You're not that good anyway honey I have your years ago and I wasn't impressed.... anyhow God bless everyone in that shop God doesn't like ugly. One last thing though shot out to babygirl that did my toes though she did the f out these feet baby I'm so mad I can't go back because of the other people there I been trying to find someone to really do my toes and I found her and now I can't go back to get hem done by her I'm so hurt ya'll.... But Gigi nails count your days because being that prejudice and unprofessional will lead you to losing a lot of business.... Gigi's used to be good, They started to become unsanitary years ago. Now they are worse, They have people doing nails while having fungi on their own fingers! Went in today with my friend. I wanted a pedicure and she wanted a full set. We waited at least 15 mins because they had almost no staffing in there. The guy doing my pedicure had no gloves on. He said nothing about pricing until I asked. He was distracted and talking to other workers. At the end he basically begged/pressured for a tip after the pedicure was already $45. My friend said that the lady who started on her full set- glued on her tips then walked away and said they had to dry when really she went to go start on another customers set. After my pedicure I came to sit down with my friend and the woman doing her nails was using the drill/filing thing but then completely looking out the window distracted because there was multiple police cars out there while the drill was still running. My friend doesn't like her nails or the fact that she paid $70 for them and was in the nail salon for 2 hours. We don't recommend! oh let's not forget she made her bleed when using the drill and then tried to say it was because she moved read more

My nails could've turned out better and the some of the nail techs were rude. One tech went on lunch break for 30 minutes while in the middle of doing my nails. When GiGis first opened it was amazing. Great service, CLEAN, good polish selection... Everything exceeded my expectations. But now, not so much. The people are still friendly and do a good job on your nails BUT they have gotten extremely unsanitary. They don't open new tools for each customer, and don't seem to properly clean their pedi tubs (just a spray and rinse). With that being said, you can say goodbye to fresh pedicure water as they keep tubs filled with still water for hours before reheating it for a customer (see image attached). Talk about breeding ground for bacteria. read more

I gave 2 stars because the salon is nicely decorated. This place is really dirty meaning they reuse pedicure slippers and toe separators and only rinse out the pedicure bowls, and a couple techs have nail fungus. I'm newer to the area and have come here a few times. I have never left with a bad pedicure. Today, my friend and I soaked for a good half hour before someone started her nails. I sat with my cold water and no pedicure. No pedicure! How do you start my friend without me? I'm due in 2 weeks and we thought it was a nice Sunday afternoon thing to do prebaby. Her feet look nice, but I left with the same undone toes that I can't reach to do myself. I got a sorry with shrugged shoulders. Here's my shrugged shoulders...I won't be back. I guess I'll have to go back to my old 'hood and hit up Dearborn Nails. They get busy too, but I've never left without a service after sitting for over an hour pruning. read more

My normal pedicure location of choice was closed, so last night my Mom, sister, and I went to Gigi Nails. They have quite an operation in there! The place is huge and there were at least 10 pedicure chairs. We were sat quickly, and we all got worked on right away. I had a really nice blonde girl (I think Allyson was her name?) and she was great! I had the super-deluxe fancy pedicure, which came with a salt scrub, warm towels, along with 5 different lotions/topical stuff that they put on. I do appreciate that they ask each client how thick they'd like their french to be, along with what base color they'd like (Clear, pearl or pink) I may even stop here again! read more

My friend and I wanted to go have pedicures together, and she had been here before. I was afraid they wouldn't be open (it was Sunday), but considering I didn't really know any other places downriver I was game. The place was PACKED! We had about a 20 min wait, but it wasn't a big deal. The place itself is nothing special, but they had the massage chairs, free bottled water, nice staff (although most don't speak English), big TV's and cheap/reasonable prices... good enough for me! The girl who did my pedicure did a good job, and my friend requested Lisa, who really went to town on her feet! She asked that one of her nails be cut down some more (she is super picky) and Lisa ended up going over all of them and buffing them out more, etc. Seriously, she had like a 2 hr pedicure. I paid $25 for a french pedicure, and I think my friend spent $20 for a regular one. Manicure and pedicure are $32 (plus $5 for each french). Only issues I encountered: *I will pay more attention next time, but I don't remember seeing any sanitizer wells. And one of the ladies handed my girl a tool, and I could have sworn she had just used it on someone. But maybe I'm just paranoid. *I like my french pedicures with a thicker white line and a pinkish tint, but I suppose I should have specified. *When I asked the girl to break my $20 for a tip she gave me all $5 bills. I suppose I was going to give her 20% anyway, but a few singles would have been less tacky. I'll go back, because hey, it could have been worse! I might even let them wax my chin/upper lip, but they can't touch my eyebrows! I leave that to the experts.. read more

Worst nail salon downriver. Over priced. Unsanitary . & unfriendly staff. Gave them 3 tries & was terrible. The recent visit was my last with having the worst pedicure I have ever had. It was overpriced, painful , unsanitary( they use the same tools over & over & she didn't even wash the cuticle remover before or after she serviced me!) Not to mention she didn't add top coat! DONT GO. Never had a good experience here, and I've gave it a couple tries, same with my mom. Anyways, most previous time she cut my toe nail shorter than I thought possible and the big toe nail is uneven. She never put a clear coat on and they don't look right. She didn't file the toe nail so that it's even on the top. Yes I probably should've asked her but since it's a basic thing I expect I didn't really look til after I left. For the deluxe pedicure I just expected a bit more and the girl barely touched my feet. Will never return.1 read more

I recently started going here a couple months ago to get my nails down regularly because I wasn't satisfied with the nail salon I was going to before. Worst decision ever. Don't get me wrong, 1/4 of my acrylic refills were awesome. The workers are extremely rude except for at least 2 of them. Little to no conversation was happening because they listen to their headphones the whole time. I decided to give them a last chance today and I wasn't impressed. I went to get a pedicure with my sister and they left me and my sister, Beth, soaking our feet for two hours while they took personal phone calls before getting to us. They do a great job with nail art. Not impressed with their work ethic. read more

I stopped by here to get my eyebrows waxed. The price is right, for $20 you can get your eyebrows, upper lip and chin waxed. You know those pesky little hairs that you don't know are there until your boyfriend so tactfully points it out to you. This place kind of freaked me out..they had a "sanitizing" machine that looks similar to a microwave. The day I went it wasn't plugged in....I also felt like Elaine from the episode of Seinfeld where she felt like the people doing her nails were making fun of her, so she took George Kastanza's dad with her because he spoke the language the nail techs spoke, so he could translate for her. We arrived right when the salon opened, at 9am. I wanted a dip manicure, my mom a gel fill. The lady there started working on my mom's nails right away, and I asked if I would have to wait for her to finish her nails to get mine done, and if so, I would wait and get mine done at another time. I was told someone was on their way and would do mine, so they wanted to get started removing my current dip. One of the other people sat me at a table and wrapped my nails in acetone to remove the dip. I sat there for over an hour, with people who had come in after me being served. These were other walk-ins. The first worker finished my mom's nails, and called me over, apologizing for my wait. When she removed the foil, the cotton had dried to my nails, and my skin had been in the acetone for so long it started peeling. Then, the color I choose was not the same as what she applied, but by the time that was clear, I would've had to wait additional time and I just wanted to leave. Over two hours of my Saturday morning was wasted and this all could've been avoided at the outset with some honesty about the length of time I'd be waiting. read more

Not good. Dirty, broken equipment, long long waits, they clearly talk about the customer in their native tongue and they make it obvious when they all laugh and look at you. My daughter was forgotten about for an hour for her mani. My pedi chair was broke so the massage components of the chair were just uncomfortable to sit on. I moved to a different chair where the water was waiting and it was ice cold. Yikes. It was so awkward when it was time to pay. The man was visibly irritated with me when I gave him my debit card and he put his hand in my face and walked away shaking his head...he came back with my receipt and told me "next time you pay tip in cash" it was not relaxing and 2 hours of my life and $60 I'll never get back. Never again. I've been there about 4 times and horrible every time unfortunately. I don't write bad reviews but..... My daughter said her mani is Poor quality and chipped 5 minutes after. I came here because it is down the street from my daughters gymnastics. I walked in and to my surprise, the salon felt very much like a high dollar spa. The staff greeted me right away. I waited about 10 minutes, as they were very busy. There were a group of friends getting their pedi's before all vacationing together. I thought that was great that they could all make appointments to get it done at the same time. Most places only have 1 or 2 people doing pedi's at a time.
