Since moving Downriver, I didn't really know of a good nail place so naturally I Yelp'ed it. I walked in on a busy Saturday Morning and wasn't expecting to be seated right away. Imagine my surprise when I walked in, and it wasn't an Asian Nail Salon...I literally almost turned around and walked out and in again to make sure I was in the right place. I'm just not used to that. The ladies were all polite and fantastic. The young lady who did my nails...I believe her name is Dolores. She's young and passionate about doing nails. She even showed me some nail designs she's done on previous clients so I was really impressed. The salon is clean and fairly new. The waiting area is small but it looked like most people make appointments to come in since they do get very busy. The manicure/shellac was a great price, I was really happy since they were going to be on full display for my birthday party that night. Overall had a great experience and I'll be back! read more

I went here while on vacation and will never be back. The pedicure chairs do not massage and the water was cold. The nail tech removed my regular polish with a drill for my pedicure. The polish looked clumpy and had to remove in 3 days just to find out my nails were damaged from the drill. The manicure was not any better. Polish was too thick and smudged that same day. My child came with me and had a polish to her toes and fingers. This whole experience took over 2 hours. Don't waste your time here. read more

This salon just opened up in the old Bebe Nails location. The owners are a few girls who previously had their own shop in an addition in one of their houses, but they were finding themselves constantly booked and a little cramped, so decided to open up this gem on Dix! The salon itself is really clean and brand new. The ventilation is the best I've ever experienced and walking in, I smelt absolutely nothing. The worst thing, to me, is to be hit in the mouth with acetone when you walk in...no here! There are 4-5 pedicure chairs over to the left, complete with massage options, and three nail stations on the right. There's a simple little waiting area and, of course, polishes wrapping the wall. All three girls that work here are awesome, but I see Magalay. She has been doing my nails for almost a year and never disappoints! She does some wicked nail art as well...you would not believe the things this girl can do! The best thing about this salon is that there is no overcharging going on. CND shellac is $18. At an American salon, that is UNHEARD of. I used to pay $40 (+ tip!) at Pure NV in Taylor for the same exact product and process. Insanity. But, that's the heart of this salon - not overpricing their services and products, so that their customers can actually afford to pamper themselves...and this customer will keep coming back! read more

I must say you won't be disappointed your first visit or ever. All of these ladies are very friendly and do a very good job with nails. All services are done very well, they are gentle, also very professional at what they do at a very good price. When I go in I feel at home every time too. Suann does my nails and she has always done a spectacular job and most of all their salon is very clean. I always see them cleaning and that means they care about their clients. I've been coming to this salon since they opened, they're highly professional. They use high quality products and the shellac polish choices are overwhelming because there's so many to choose from!! I drive over 30 minutes to get my nails done here and I will not have my nails done anywhere else!! This is a English speaking business so you won't have to worry about the techs speaking to one another in a language you don't understand which to me is one of the biggest annoyances in other salons!! Very clean, very friendly, they do amazing nail art and I always leave happy.. I do recommend an appointment as this salon is very busy and it's very unlikely to get a walk in appointment!! My nail tech is Magaly she's awesome and my daughter sees Danny and she also does great work.. I highly recommend them read more

Well I have to say my first time was... interesting. Had a pedicure that was amazing. However, I got a manicure with the CND shellac, and it literally chipped two days after my visit. I was so incredibly disappointed with it. I had gotten gel manis at Sun Nails and it lasted me about 13 days before my first chip. Needless to say I will never return here. I'm so bummed out because my boyfriend had paid for them for my birthday and I obviously wasted his money. Quite a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for lasting shellac. A total waste of money. read more

My mother had a mani/pedi when visiting and can't wait to come back to town to make another appointment! This is a great place to go for custom nail art and brow waxes too. Angela has been doing my nails for many many years! They are always perfect!!!! I never experience lifting or breaks with my acrylics and my shellac stays for weeks!!!!! I was pretty excited to go here after reading good reviews. However I was quite disappointed after my first visit. iIt was soooo hot in the salon that I was sweating in the pedicure chair. The lady that did my pedicure didn't talk to me and I finally gave up trying to carry on a conversation. The pedicure itself was fine, but definitely not what I thought I was getting for the price. I could have gotten a better one cheaper at a quickie Asian owned place. One nice stylist offered me a bottle of water and I gladly accepted, wondering why my tech didn't offer. I may go here again and try another nail tech, but only if I find out if I can relax and be comfortable in air conditioning! read more
