Their pork spring rolls have that bbq smoked meat flav filled w crunchy vegs, andd my another fav is their viet crepe filled w char grilled pork and shrimp is the best you'll get. Hadn't been back in quite some time, back to being my favorite place for lunch. Maybe if more people show up on Fridays they will be open more days for lunch. An excellent bowl of Pho, I finished the broth before all the noodles and meat. My wife had the vermicelli and grilled shrimp, I didn't get a bite. We were both stuffed. I wanted a veggie dish with steamed tofu, not the tofu cubes that are fried and chewy and tasteless. I asked if I could sub that fried tofu for steamed tofu and was told "no, we fry all our tofu in advance". So I ended up just ordering the avocado spring rolls, and they were fantastic! We rented Gigi's restaurant yesterday for our daughter's adult Bat Mitzvah party, with 35-40 people. Everything was amazing!!! The food was varied and delicious - and the leftovers are wonderful! Gigi and Phan are the best hosts imaginable and were incredibly generous and helpful at every step and in every way. Ambiance: brick walls, low lighting, music not too loud. Only small complaint is that it was a little chilly. Service: attentive and speedy but not overbearing. No complaints! Food: we ordered avocado spring rolls to start. The rolls were good but of course it was all about the dipping sauce which was delicious! Nice balance of salty and sweet and the chopped peanuts added a nice crunch. Yum. For my main I ordered the vegetarian pho, which comes with tofu as the protein. The portions were generous and the tofu and noodles were tasty, but the broth was a little bland. I like a really flavorful, well-spiced broth with my pho and this didn't quite hit the mark. Still overall enjoyable though. Very happy with my visit to Gigi's! Will definitely be back. read more

Came here on a Friday evening and the space was relatively quiet and not super full - people were mostly eating outside, but we opted for a table inside, leaving us pretty alone for a majority of the meal. The server we had was quite friendly and patient. She took our orders smoothly and our waters were never empty thanks to the hostesses - really nice service overall! The food itself was not too bad as the portions were pretty generous and the price was decent as well. The taste was honestly more on the okay side, but given everything else, I found the meal to be quite pleasant. The pho was savory and pretty delicious while the spring rolls had plenty of shrimp and filling overall. The crepe was huge and tasted pretty good while the rice noodle plate left me quite full - I couldn't finish it all unfortunately! I would definitely come back as Gigi's gave us a pretty good dinner experience. For decent Vietnamese food and great service, this place didn't disappoint! read more

It's been a while since we've been back and I am so glad that we did because the food is still amazing. We ordered the combination pho, coconut shrimp and pork chop plate- everything ( and I mean everything) was juicy, nicely plated and overall just delicious! This is what we needed after a long week and I just wasn't in the mood to cook. Brought my son here, as he is a foodie like myself, and he loves Gigi's!!! The host and waiter provided amazing service and the food arrived promptly and with no need for me to ask for additional plates as the waiter was on top of his game during our dine- in experience. The ambiance was intimate and sweet, and my little one even enjoyed the calmness of the restaurant. We love Gigi's and will be back very soon read more

I decided to try here because of rave reviews and I was super excited that I was able to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant/food closer to where I live. Unfortunately it didn't really meet my expectations... Fresh rolls: the skin/wrap was already ripped when I received my order, but it wasn't too bad, I would rate 3/5 Crispy rolls: pretty good, 4/5 Vietnamese crepe: this was my favorite dish out of my whole order, the flavor was there! 5/5 Beef banh mi: this was a huge disappointment, there was not enough pickled veggies, as you can see in the photo, there was none visible, it was more like 5 strands of veggies...1/5 Beef fried rice: it was ok, the rice was a bit undercooked, 3/5 Pho appetizer: I wish they gave more soup with the amount of noodles they give, I'm not sure if dining in vs takeout would be the same amount of soup but definitely not enough soup, the noodles soaked it all in! 3/5 Overall, it wasn't what I expected but I wouldn't mind ordering again when I'm really in the mood for viet food and it's closely! read more

Arguably one of the best restaurants overall in Middlesex county, MA and definitely worth a trip. The restaurant itself is great - sexy decor, great lighting. A little drafty sometimes so bring a sweater, throw. Food is delicious! I will brave offending people here: this is a great restaurant, the cuisine is Vietnamese. You get all your classics like Pho, spring rolls, and savory noodle bowls. However, restaurant has some signature dishes like the spare ribs, basil fried rice, vegetable noodles, and steak kabob (no skimping here - large cubes of steak). The reason for the 4 is because GiGi's is BEST when the made to order dishes are cooked slow and right, and that means: take your time! CUSTOMERS: have a drink, talk, take your time, order an app. But for the normal American consumer, we know you like quick and timely. I think some dishes lose their essence when GiGi's is crowded and the food comes out a lot quicker. read more

I love this place! Excellent food. We shared an entree of the ribs to start, then each got a vermicelli bowl. I got one with chicken, shrimp and spring rolls. It came with tons of veggies which I LOVE (my dad, not so much) and a yummy broth to pour over. The ribs were so meaty and flavorful. really generous portions too! A Maynard gem for sure. *Banh Mi review only My wife is Vietnamese and I am always on the hunt for a good traditional Banh Mi, especially in New England. Unfortunately Dorchester is just a bit to far to drive for a bread roll. The prohibitive opening hours for lunch have made it frustrating for me to find time to get there. Today was the day and I was excited. I have a young child so I arrived at opening time of 1130am and the first bad sign was that what I gather to be the chef was still pushing produce through the front door. I was taken to my seat and after seating my boy in his high chair and about to sit myself, Gigi came running over and tried to force the waitress to take me to a table at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was empty. I explained I would like to sit there, I wasn't going to be long as I was only having a sandwich, well so I thought. It was a beautiful bright winters day and there is very little natural light inside the restaurant. Lunchtime is dark and drab, obviously better for an evening meal. Anyway, my sandwich took 25 minutes to arrive. For a restaurant that always points out that Vietnamese food is some of the healthiest in the world because meat is considered a side plate I am surprised my sandwich was just pretty much pork. Anyone who has had a good Bahn Mi knows it's the pickled vegetables, fresh chilli (none) and mayonnaise that makes them stand out from other cuisines. See my photo, I want it stuffed full of greens and carrots and not just meat. It was so far from a Vietnamese sandwich and I was disappointed. The hunt continues but for now it looks like I will be driving to Marlborough, which is too far. The best restaurants are those that stay true to their roots. read more

This is a wonderful hidden gem in Maynard! This is a wife and husband ownership duo and they are the kindest people. Gigi runs the front of house and her husband is the chef. It's a very cute and well decorated restaurant and it's VERY clean and well kept. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. Anyone who writes a negative review about the food is simply lying. I've had tons of phô soup throughout the years and Gigi's is one of the best. You can tell the recipes are made with care and everything is fresh. We had the avocado spring rolls, which were DELICIOUS and so fresh. We also had the basil fried rice which has wonderful flavor and two phô soups - one was vegetarian and the other was a combination soup. The prices are fair for the quality and everything was really delicious. Even on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, this place is packed with people grabbing take out. Everyone in town knows how delicious their food is and it's a great place to eat in or take out! We love Gigi's! read more

Excellent authentic Vietnamese cuisine! It's a little hard to spot (tucked in next to a fish monger) but don't miss it, well worth the try! Very friendly, clean and welcoming atmosphere. They have appetizer size portions of Pho (as well as enter size), exceptionally tasty noddle bowls - love the spring rolls and the garlic sauce that comes with the noodle bowls. The food at Gigi's is very good and it feels so fresh. Everything is made at site, so you know you are having good quality food. Something that I really liked was that Gigi told us that they did not use any MSG, which is not usual in Asian restaurants. The service is very good, and the menu is very varied. There are very good vegan and vegetarian options, so that was a very good thing for me. There is gluten free option for almost all the plates in the menu.
