Cozy little restaurant with the friendliest staff. The menu is seasonal and we were lucky the day we stopped they had made a pot of the most delicious harvest soup (I can't remember the name) but all the flavors complimented themselves perfectly along with the salad we had. Their ingredients are sourced locally and organically, it was such a treat enjoying this wonderful lunch by their fireplace.

Had a solo res on a Saturday evening. I was quickly greeted and sat down. Very open and inviting indoor seating area. I ordered the crispy rice. Each bit was def crispy and full of flavor. The under carriage had what tasted like a hummus and was also full of flavor. Great complement to the curry rice. The only bummer was no dessert. Would recommend getting a reservation especially if you appreciate farm to table as much as I do!

The chicken biscuit was to die for!

We recently visited Gilchrist Farms for the first time to have brunch. We were super impressed with the beautiful dining rooms, excellent service and absolutely delicious food. I used to have a favorite brunch spot we visited whenever we came up to visit the Traverse city area, but Gilchrist Farms blew that restaurant away. I love that they take reservations, so you don't have to wait around to get a table. Their menu may not be huge, but everything on it looks amazing. My husband & I shared the fried chicken biscuit and the farm plate and we loved them both. My only complaint is that they don't offer brunch more days, so we can eat their more often. Next time we are in town, we'll try their lunch or dinner as well!

My foodie friend and I have our faves, but we enjoy trying new places, too. This place was new to us. My friend tried the pork on chips. I had the chive pancakes. Pricey, but decent portions (sharing sized) and farm to table quality. It's quite nice inside. Service- good, good.

Breakfast Sandwich (Sunday Brunch). It was amazing!

High quality food and drink in a beautifully renovated building. Presentation and service were both very professional.

My husband and I stopped in and were immediately greeted at the front door by a lovely woman who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She walked us through the tasting experience, pointed out the restrooms, and truly set the tone for such a warm and inviting visit. When we made our way to the tasting bar, we were greeted by a wonderful man who was funny, engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. He explained each spirit so well and made the tasting experience genuinely fun. Come to find out -- the two people taking such great care of us were the owners! Their hospitality and customer service were exceptional and made the experience feel personal and memorable. And the spirits? Absolutely phenomenal. We ended up leaving with six bottles because everything was that good. This was hands-down one of the best experiences of our entire trip. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near the area!

My husband, who favors sweet beverages, or at least today he does... Insisted that the lemoncello was so delicious from his sampling that they brought him a 3 ounce pour and I swear to you it taste like Lemon Pledge mixed with sugar water. Then he got some cream situation. The lemoncello crema. Before I even drink it, I took a with, and it smelled like breastmilk vomit. Straight baby spit up. My friend tells me that my review is truthful, but kind of mean. But I have had four drinks here and they were all kind of gross. We will probably come back tomorrow. I'm gonna go try the horseradish vodka. Maybe that will be better.

Raftshol Vineyards is a small family winery located on the scenic Leelanau peninsula. What I first…read morenoticed about the vineyard was the beautiful barn. Walked in and was the only customer. At first I didn't know if they were open because there were no sign on the door and it was a little after 11:00 a.m. when we got there. A man came out and greeted me and my husband. I asked to do a red wine tasting. They are complimentary which was great!! Here is what I sampled and their prices: 2011 Cabernet Franc - Light bodied with cherry and crabapple flavors. $11.00 2011 Merlot - Raspberry and red fruit notes, with a pleasing grip. $11.00 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon - Black fruit tones with silky tannins. $11.00 My favorite was the Cabernet Franc very smooth and not acidic. I ended up getting a bottle. Great price! Very reasonable. Read the last review and was iffy about coming here because of the service. I thought the man was nice. Yes he was quiet, but that maybe his personality. He was friendly to me and my husband. My only con is the inside is not decorative or inviting. But the outside is nice. There is a walkway that leads you to the lake (with seating) and you enjoy a glass a wine with a beautiful view. It was a quick tasting, but I thought it was a good experience. To me all that mattered was the wine was good and free tasting?! Can't beat that. Their hours: Open daily (7 days) 11 am to 6 pm
