I had an absolutely terrible experience with this law firm. From the very beginning, communication was poor and I felt like I was constantly being given the runaround. They were unresponsive to my questions and concerns, every time I would call I wouldn't even get a good greet I would be out on hold right away or transferred to voicemail it's like nobody was ever available at any hour/time of the day the way I was spoken to was not at all a pleasant customer service quality, and it felt like they were not taking my case seriously, and just loading me with bills. Let alone that my lawyer switched law firms which of at the time I had a balance of over $20k to pay which I was told if I stay with the firm I will receive a settlement offer, I waited over 2 months to get my case transferred over to another lawyer which never happened, I ended up leaving the firm and hiring a new lawyer. Not only that, but the legal advice I received was subpar and I felt like my best interests were not being prioritized. The whole experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. Save yourself the stress,money and find a different firm that actually cares about their clients and provides quality legal services. I can not believe their still in business! If you're ever in need of assistance please, I can not stress enough DO NOT TRUST them! They literally made me spend more the 40k and for them to put little to no effort in my case. They couldn't even meet court deadlines, so when we went to court I couldn't use my evidence. I put every penny I had because I was in a very difficult situation, and trusted they had my best interest but please RUN! while you still can because they don't care about you or how their careless act affects you and your family long term, they only want to take your money and once they see you can no longer can afford them, they throw you to the curb and leave you with a huge bill plus interest. Very, very disappointed ~ charged $1,600 for a demand letter that was never sent to the employer or delivered to us in the timeframe that was contracted, which resulted in a negative outcome in negotiations with the employer. The initial draft also missed the mark with several key facts of our case. We are financially worse off than when we went to them asking for "help" ~ think twice. read more

Please, please, please I beg you if your children or grandchildren are in danger of being removed or have been removed from the home DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. They are predators, they charged me nearly 25k and did not do a thing to save my granddaughter. We lost her unnecessarily to adoption. They paint a pretty picture when they are soliciting your business, but the tables will turn. They might as well work for DCS. Corrupt Judge, corrupt Department of Child Safety, and these blood suckers all make for a nightmare you cannot wake up from. Please for your childrens sake heed my warning. They billed me three hours for a 41 minute court appearance. Unbelievable. They have the balls to still hound me for payment when they did not have the balls to bring up the important issues in court. They effectively took a seat on the sideline to watch the game play out. Randomly switched lawyers within the company on me and I had to pay for the time to bring them all up to speed on what they should have already known. Did not call out DCS for lying the foster care review board for lying or the Judge for ribber stamping their lies. Did nothing to get me the visitation I was promised. NOTHING. Did nothing to stop the manipulation of my granddaughter or to demand false accusations be stricken from the case once they were proven false. SMH. How do these people sleep at night. Contacted them to represent me in February 2020 with DCS regarding a unfounded complaint made. They took my money for sure. What followed was almost a year of back and forth with them only to find out my case was resolved with DCS in July of 2020 and they had been unaware that they RECEIVED the dismissal and failed to share it with me. They didn't share it with me until December of 2020 only indicating that it was "misplaced" but here is the good news!. This cost me time and effort with my children one for which i will never forgive them for. They are unorganized and unethical and continued to charge me after the fact when if they had been actually working my case and on top of things I might have had the opportunity to directly refute testimony given in a separate case with DCS that prevents me from being in my children's lives. I have had the unfortunate experience of a very complicated,painful custody case. It lasted nearly a year and was very complex. Robert and his paralegal Shari have been great. I had what was supposed to be a free consultation with J. McCombs. This attorney pushed me to initiate a lawsuit without bothering to ask questions about my situation. When I asked questions I got the impression that he did not have much legal knowledge of that topic and appeared confused. He was rude and bothered by my questions. Before the time was over he told me that I had to pay him if I wanted to continue with the consultation. read more
