This is a good club to go to for EDM on a Saturday Night. It is mostly a college bar with some older people. The crowd is friendly and There is a good vibe. The sound system is very good. There is a large dance floor in front of the DJ booth. They bring in excellent talent. The club is a little dated but was still fun. They have a VIP area and bottle service. Bottle service is expensive but if you have a special occasion, I guess it's ok... The music stay changes by the night so check the schedule... Have fun... read more

We purchased tickets for the club online to attend the Halloween Costume Party which was held on October 29, the Saturday before Halloween. The hours were 10p-2a. We got there at 11:30. Parking was an additional $10. The line to enter was hellaaaa long. It was wrapped all the way around the building and through the parking lot. There were only 2 lines: VIP/Express or General. Express skip-the-line tickets were available online, but we all purchased general admission. There was not a third line or area for pre-purchased GA to enter. We asked around in the line and most others were there to pay at the door. The event coordinators told us we had to wait in line just like everyone else, even with prepurchased tickets... OR pay an extra $30 to enter through the VIP line which was super short. Since we had already purchased tickets to get in, we paid the extra $30. (The line was literally not moving so we considered that are options were either wait and not get in until probably 1am, or forfeit the ticket we bought and go somewhere else.) once we entered, we grabbed some drinks and went to the dance floor! We quickly realized the DJ was whack. He did not do a good job at all. Songs were switched a little too fast & he kept talking really loud on the mic, drowning the music out to speak about future events. I understand marketing, but he was constant and annoying about it. People were barely dancing... you would think he would have noticed and put more energy into the event he was at. Around 1a he stopped talking as much, and we could actually dance some. They had a costume contest at 1:30a, and I think the judge picked who he wanted to win because the girl who won did not get as much feedback as some of the other people participating in the contest. I was upstairs at the time so I could hear the response from the crowd pretty good. Not like it matters, but a couple of the costumes were pretty good! My group of friends all agree it should have been a stand off between the two clowns based of the crowds reaction. Overall we made the best out of our time there. We stayed because we paid $55 to get in, plus $10 on parking. But it was not worth the money. The staff and bartenders were really nice. Drinks were expensive. With this being my only experience here, I will eventually go back on a different theme night to give Gilt a second chance... but I really hope it's a different DJ. Also I want to clarify I'm not upset about the $10 parking, because it's better than no parking! Or unsafe parking. & I think it's normal to pay to park at stuff like that. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD! They charge $10 for parking. They advertise free admission from 10-12pm BUT they held the line until 12 pm and then start letting people in. We waited in line for 1 hr 30 min, just for them tell us they charge $30! They were telling people they could "skip the line" for $45. This place and all its workers are scamming everyone. Ok don't go expecting like a nice nightclub. The atmosphere and crowd is super casual! I mean you can show up in vans and trucker hats. We got a table for a bachelorette party thinking this was the best of Orlando. But it's not upscale or fancy. That aside..... We were upstairs and the bouncers tried to keep our space contained but there were so many people walking in and through our table because the flow was intense. It's hard to quantify my Gilt experience.. getting in was smooth and easy. $5 before 11 cover charge. The dress code is regular college kid club attitude like Jean shorts cute tops sandals. I wouldn't wear heels it's not super classy. Thirsty Thursdays are great!! $1 well drinks until 12!! My group of 3 paid under $15 for all of our drinks! Lastly the music was lots of pop, throwbacks, and dubstep, fist pump tunes. I listen to hip hop and r&b usually but still had fun and knew some of the songs. This recently renovated version of this long surviving building is slick and chic. We hit them up for a recent show that was being held there and had access to the skybox, which was awesome since it had comfy couches and tables to hold drinks and everything. The front part of the nightclub was a standard old school bar. Through the curtains in the back, you'll find the main nightclub / dance floor area. There are several bar areas to get drinks, I believe at least four if I remember right. The stairs are in the back by the restrooms and that leads up to the skybox area. Sadly, we were up there for about 30 minutes without any bar service, and seriously debated heading downstairs and ordering rounds for everyone and just bringing them upstairs ourselves. We did eventually have a bartender come around and provide drinks, but it was inconsistent and when we did order, they were 50/50 on correct drinks. The show itself was awesome, but being in the skybox, with the seats facing towards each other and not the stage, meant we had to stand the majority of the time, which, in heels, wasn't ideal for a 2 hour show. Wish there had been chairs set up that we could have moved to the overlook so we could sit and watch. Overall: C inconsistent drink service and lack of stage view bring this venue down a bit for shows. read more

I've been to several music festivals and several other venues to see djs perform, this is the only venue where I actually had an issue with someone approaching my friend and myself. The man wouldn't leave her alone and eventually rubbed his dick against her which caused me to get in his face and scream at him to leave us alone. He did leave us alone afterwards but after reading what others have had issues with, I see this is a reoccurring problem at this venue. I really love coming here for the music acts that they bring in. However, I don't agree with the $20 cover if I'm going to be spending about $50 or more on drinks for myself alone. I also think they let way too many people in here because it becomes very crowded throughout the entire club, including the lines for the restrooms. I know that is standard with a nightclub, but come on. If I'm paying $20 to get in and then a minimum of $10 per drink, I expect at least feel like I am getting my money's worth. read more

After an awful experience here a few months ago (see previous review) i gave this venue another chancd because i got tickets to an event as a christmas gift. The show (joyryde) was great, but this venue is god awful. The single fact that this place is right by Pulse, yet there is NO patdown, NO bag search, NOTHING, leaves me speechless. Not to mention, left me with awful anxiety the entire night. Plus, there was a multitude of other incidents... like my boyfriend getting charged two dollars more for beer than me, me having my (very real!) out of state ID questioned as fake, the bathrooms (men and woman) being out of soap, and just bad vibes all around. Oh! And how could i forget... going up to the bar and asking for a cup of water only to be told "we dont do that here..." and having to buy a $5 water. I could be mistaken, but im pretty sure an establisment must provide free water if you ask. My last review i said something to the effect of "unless a favorite artist is playing here, i will probably not return". Now i can say that even if my absolute favorite artist is here and i got hooked up with free tickets and drinks, i will absolutely NOT RETURN. read more

If you're going to read one sentence from this review just know you are so much better off going somewhere else in town, tourists be weary please. Tried this place despite the bad reviews and was let down immensely. Should have listened to these souls brave enough to endure the pain for me. The security here is so so so bad it almost ruined the whole trip. Would have left upon first impression if we did not drive an hour and 20 minutes to arrive. Immediately the security started hassling us for not being dress code. I get enforcing a dress code, I'm from Vegas so it makes complete sense. But even in the boujiest city in town I get treated with more respect than what these guys offered. These guys need a raise or some additional training or a supervisor or something because their actions reflect serious problems. They tried bribing us for $50 a head for them to look the other way about wearing shorts and slowly bartered down to $30 when we were appalled by the question. No pat downs, no screening, no metal detectors and after all the terrible news this past year. I fail to see any point for security at all. 1 Star for the one great bartender upstairs and another star for the fancy renovations. Not nearly enough to save the experience. read more

Every scantily-clad server came to the table and kept saying we're going to need more money and, get this: charged, not only my card 150$, but then proceeded to rob me and my friend of our cash, and THEN have the audacity to ask us for more! Alright so the only reason Gilt is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the music talent they're able to book. Unfortunately Gilt is one of the few places in Orlando that consistently books AMAZING EDM artist. That is the extent of what Gilt gets right. Every time friends or I go we end the night saying "why did we come here?" The atmosphere is quite terrible with just an overcrowding out with people moving and shoving you throughout sets with few to no manners. On top of this prices are very steep and at times extremely difficult to get a hold of bartenders. If you're looking for to see some EDM in Orlando visit Henao, Aero, or Celine. read more

Paid to see an artist and was never able to see him, every time I would ask for assistance no one was able to help me and I actually left before being able to see enjoy. Way too much staff for absolutely nothing. I would not recommend this place if you want to have a nice experience. Don't sell tickets if you can't guarantee the entertainment you are promising, especially don't oversell a venue during a pandemic, zero COVID-19 guidelines were being followed, there were way more people than the maximum allowed. read more

Remember those bottle rats I noted below from my review last year...well, they are not going anywhere and they have gotten aggressive. In addition to the staff in VIP (not security aka "safety" guards) who are usually drunk or even better, high off the white stuff they forgot to clean off their noses and their shirt- I kid you not!!!! This past Saturday I had the most unfortunate situation and after a couple days of contemplating I learned, via other regular patrons, that there has been a shift. I was in VIP, not an unusual situation for me, enjoying a DJ's set, I had engaged in conversation with the safety guard and patrons around me as I like to ensure I have a good vibe within my surroundings. Just before the main DJ came on, a man in a pale blue or grey suit moved me as he proceeded to expand one of the vip booths; a couple of guys and several women. I noted jokingly that he caused me to almost fall (which he did) To which he replied (not sure what he heard me say, he had been drinking champagne a couple times) "yeah they are spending 2k and you're not". Wow- ok, I'm not a drinker and I don't take things personal so I sipped away at my ginger ale and continued to enjoy the music. As the main DJ came on, a guy in another suit came by and moved the rope to close off the entire section, it was a first and I even asked why- he then (with his smelly alcohol ridden breath), told me that I was not welcomed there and if I didn't move he would move me. I explained I had been to the venue many, many times since they opened as Gilt, that I had not seen this particular DJ in 16 years and wanted to just enjoy the show and that it was unnecessary to speak to me that way. I moved of course. This is where the fun begins; some of the bottle rats from the booth returned and the lead girl decided to shove me (not the big guy next to me, she shoved me, the female) I turned around and advised her there was a rope and the guy would let her pass in a moment; she said, "I know I'm in vip and you're not!" - at this point I was turned off- the vibe for the night was quickly turning negative so as I took a breath and tried to collect myself to determine where I wanted to go in the club to stand/dance, her friend, and fellow bottle rat, slapped my drink (ginger ale lol) out of my hand as she walked and the quarter cup of liquid went flying, and the same girls/bottle rats got wet- the irony. I had had it, I lightly tossed her the empty cup and said "you might as well have the cup" - I realize my error with this yet I was done and I am not a fan of continual disrespect. The smelly breath suit guy then came over to me and told me to get out.... me! Then he called the older man that seems to run the show (manager/owner?) tells me I have to leave VIP... i tried to explain what happened, I was sober and coherent and he waived me off as if I was a drunken moron. How disrespectful. I had upgraded at the door and when I asked for the upgrade refund was told "you're lucky I'm not kicking you out of here!" Woah... yeah... I had to step out an collect myself. In all my years of clubbing (since 1992) around the country and various international cities, I have never experienced such embarrassment and disregard for a loyal patron. It was disheartening. I wanted to leave yet my friends convinced me to stay and enjoy the show. About 40 minutes later they went back to VIP, I followed and was stopped- they guy said he knew me and knew I have never had problems, but he could not let me through. Even the safety (security) guard saw me and told the guy I'm there all the time, "she's good" and nothing... my friends left VIP and we went upstairs to enjoy ourselves. I deducted 3 stars for the obvious reasons noted above. I hope to change this back to 5 stars as the bar staff, door staff, venue layout and rates they charge are still great. The vip table staff needs to get a grip on themselves, "party" a little less with the patrons so they have an iota of what is actually transpiring around them and realize not all power trips need to be taken. --original 5* review below--- Ok so I've been here a several times for a few EDM DJ's (Morgan Page, Markus Schultz, Anjuna beats, Grum, among others) and we always have a great time! The crowd is always cool, bar staff is pleasant, front door have ok. Parking is fair in price. Drinks can be weak at times but it's a night club not a local pub so that is expected. On occasion we do VIP and the only "gripe" I may have is when guys meet girls (the bottle rats!!!) and the girls take over VIP acting like they belong and try to take up space in the adjacent VIP areas. This is not an issue exclusive to the venue so I cannot fault them. read more
