Luminescent has become one of my favorite hidden gems in East Orlando. Every visit feels like a complete experience, from the beautifully designed space to the warm hospitality. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and inviting, making it ideal for date nights, celebrations, or simply enjoying a great evening out. The cocktails are truly one of the highlights. I love that they're inspired by Indian flavors and aren't your typical drink menu. Each one is thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of unique flavor combinations. The bartenders are knowledgeable and happy to recommend something based on your preferences. The owners and staff are always welcoming, which makes the experience even more memorable. So pretty I need to stop here again. So this is my reminder for me. Stopped in here around 5 pm. They don't serve coffee after 5 pm. They have cocktails. Which is why I did not stay. Coffee and or tea is what I wanted. This is a good space with lots of comfy places to sit and a good variety of different types of drinks. When I came in they were so sweet to break down the menu for me and let me know their coffee and tea was earlier. I can't wait to come back here again. The first time I went into Luminescent it was in the evening for their cocktails. My partner and I walked in and were greeted by a lovely atmosphere and great staff. I really appreciated the input about the drinks from the two individuals working behind the bar and I enjoyed both cocktails that I ordered. A few weeks later I decided to go back for their coffee. I met up with a friend and we had a lovely time. Their coffee was also delicious. If you're a fan of pistachio, you'll like Keral's Kulfi. Their food options are definitely limited, but I did enjoy their croissant. A word of warning to those visiting, the exterior of this plaza does not match the interior of this place. I also find that from the outside Luminescent almost looks closed when it is not. This place is definitely a hidden gem in the East Orlando area, and it's really one of the only "classy" bars you can go to without having to go all the way downtown. read more

It's a good thing I don't live close to Luminescent, otherwise I don't think you'd be able to pry me away! The interior design of Luminescent is top-tier - this feels like a trendy coffee shop you'd find in LA, something the East side of Orlando really needed! This is a great space to come and work or study - their music isn't too loud, and there's ample (and well spaced out) seating. Unfortunately, like most places, Luminescent has taken a nosedive in quality since it opened. It's no longer a nice quiet place to work during the day. They blast music and the baristas have no sense of urgency. I waited 20 minutes today for a basic matcha before I finally just told them to refund it. love this place! If you are on the East side you have to visit and enjoy a drink. They have a decent happy hour and the owner's sons are super nice and often assist with working the bar so you can really tell it's a family business. The only thing keeping this place from being perfect is the lack of food! I really hope they get a simplistic small bites menu soon, even charcuterie board options would do. We would love to stay longer every time we visit and enjoy more drinks but it's hard to do so with nothing available to soak up the alcohol along the way! read more

Luminescent is one of the coolest new coffee bars in town. In recent years, many interesting ones have popped up on East Colonial / Alafaya Trail area. I'll loving it! Luminescent is beautifully designed and has an interesting concept. It turns into a cocktail bar in the evening for the night owls. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They genuinely love what they do and it shows. I've only had a few drinks there because I tend to stick to what I love. The lattes are just the right amount of strong and bold. The Affogato is also on par with other coffee houses. However, I'm obsessed with their Keral's Kulfi! It's got pistachio foam cream, espresso, milk, and soan papdi shavings to enhance the drink. Trust me, it's phenomenal! Their pastries are usually good, especially their croissants. I'm sure I'll venture out with other ones in the future. Ambiance is beautiful , every inch was well designed by the owner and I admire beautiful things . I ordered an affogato and I had a choice between a carrot cake ice cream or pistachio which I got to try both and it was a coin toss. Both were delicious and the presentation was probably even better. My honey is not a coffee lover so he enjoyed 3 cocktails which he said we are definitely coming back because he even loved the vibe and the drinks. I ordered one of their signatures lattes that combine rose and cardamom in have never had cardamom in coffee before so was intrigued to try it. This spot has such a cool concept, and I have been wanting to visit ever since it opened. During the day it's a coffee shop, and at night it transforms into a cocktail bar. We visited on a Tuesday around noon and it was very busy. They have plenty of seating at tables, couches, and around the bar. They also have free Wi-Fi, so it's a great place to work. The interior is very beautiful. I did take off one star due to the confusing ordering process. There were no signs pointing out where to order, so we sat at the bar and assumed someone would come to help us. After 30 minutes of working on our laptops, we finally realized the side of the bar is where you order, and so we went over there. The staff was very nice and once we ordered our drinks were ready quickly, but I wish they had some sort of "order here" sign. We were there for around two hours, and we saw other groups come in and also get confused by how the ordering works. I ordered the Keral's Kulfi latte, which was so delicious. The staff were definitely overwhelmed due to an unexpected wedding coming in unplanned. Nothing on the staff, but the wedding party was rude and acted as if they owned the place. Loud and entitled and inconsiderate (but again not on the staff). Their drinks were definitely rushed this night and were not the greatest tasting. Also for a coffee/cocktail house I'm surprised they didn't have more coffee curated cocktails and/or have afternoon/evening coffee available. What a cute place! I came here after work, hoping to get a cocktail, but I ordered an affogato instead since their bar doesn't open until 5 pm. I had a meeting out that way this week and decided to take full advantage while I was nearby. I popped into Luminescent to grab a coffee and check out their stunning space. It's both a coffee shop and handcrafted cocktail lounge with a full bar. This is probably one of the most uniquely designed interiors in town. They have plenty of seating and it's a great place for coworking. The staff were super friendly and gave me helpful suggestions on the menu. This place was very Interesting for a coffee shop. Set up more like a Lounge than your typical coffee shop in Orlando. Came here on Valentine's Day on my lunch break. Wanted to check out all the cool coffee shops around UCF and Waterford Lakes. This one did not disappoint! I ordered a espresso drink with heavy cream (they didn't have 1/2 + 1/2) which was fine but I wish they would of asked if I wanted that instead. You know... I totally went out of my way to see this place with my own eyes. I read a couple of reviews yes... but mostly I was intrigued by the decor. The ambiance and style in a lounge type setting is very unusual and rare for a coffee type place and also... many coffee places don't have a good place to hang out for a long time or sit...maybe even do some work on the computer....so I was excited about that. Shockingly, and sad for me, they were serving cocktails... straight up cocktails like you would find in a regular bar ! The contrast between people sitting around with their laptops out, head bent over them and having a bar in the background making drinks in a very lively manner and gossiping amongst themselves is a very distinct and strange world indeed (!) ... Huh. It was sad for me because after I discovered that my laptop would NOT connect to the internet there no matter what I did, its an open internet btw... no password.... I would have stayed just to have a cocktail there it was such a cool bar....but since I don't drink anymore... I had to say "Adios!" to this really cool environment and be on my way! I don't know if it was just me or other people were having the same problem..but it seemed that I was the only one having this type of stress over connectivity so I decided to be on my merry way.... I understand they are in their soft opening, but I don't think that they were fully ready for the public. They didn't have any directions as to how to order. I walked in in the afternoon and sat at the bar. I sat there for a good five minutes, and no one acknowledged me at all. I watched the bartender have in-depth conversation about mixing glasses and other things, she never acknowledge me. As I was about to walk out a man who was sitting across from her on a computer who I assume to be either the manager or the owner then addressed me that's when I was instructed that's to order coffee I had to go to the other side of the bar and order it at the stand. I came based off of the TikTok and Instagram reels and stories so I asked for a Matcha the girl taking my order said she doesn't have Matcha the owner or at least a gentleman that I spoke about earlier informed me that they do have it it's just not on the menu. We had two of the best Matcha concoctions we've ever had. While sitting there, we saw a couple come in and make the same mistake. We did we watched for a few minutes and noticed that no one told them anything and they were just sitting there looking confused just like we were I walked over and told them how they had to order and they thanked me When it was time to leave, we didn't finish our drinks that I needed to go glasses. I went back up to the bar and stood there while four people behind the bar, just looked at me and had their own conversations again the gentleman who was on the computer on the patron side of the bar who I assume is the manager or owner had to address me and he provided the cups. We came by here because we were excited to finally have a nice cocktail bar opening up near us. When we first walked in we were both shocked at how incredibly loud the music was blasting for a small cocktail bar/coffee shop and the lighting was heavy on the blue like a club. The main thing that shocked us was that it was only 9:30pm. We considered leaving because it was difficult to carry on a conversation with the DJ's music blasting, but ultimately we decided to stay to try the drinks. The first round of drinks we got were both fantastic. My wife got The Phûl and I got Nimbu Pani. By the time we'd ordered and finished our first round of drinks the DJ packed up, and the music came down to a much more reasonable volume, so we decided to stay for a second round of drinks. For the second round I got the Jignasty and my wife got the Ruby Rose. The Jignasty was pretty good, but neither of us liked the Ruby Rose (not that it was bad per se; just not our kind of drink). The bartender was kind enough to make my wife a Bee's Knees instead, which she absolutely loved-- the cardamom was a nice addition to the classic formula! Additional considerations: -Cocktail prices were very reasonable these days at $15/drink. -Plenty of parking around the building. -No in-house food, but there was a Colombian pop up tent out front serving food (don't know if that's the norm or if we were just lucky with that). -During the day they function as a coffee shop, but during the evening they function as a cocktail bar. We went in the morning for some coffee but the space also is a bar in the evening which is neat. It is spacious with plenty of room to study, catch up with a friend, read, etc. It was their soft opening so there wasn't a lot of options but everything is reasonably priced. I tried the iced vanilla latte with oat milk (the only alternative milk offered) and it did the job. They also had a good playlist going in the background.
