I found out about Lisa through Groupon. I usually never buy Groupon vouchers, but due to the great reviews on yelp I decided to try it out. I have to mention that I don't really take care of my skin very much and her facial was one of the first I've ever had. I was a complete rookie when I walked into her salon. However, from the moment I met her she sat me down to discuss my skin needs and after I told her I'm not a skin care connoisseur she kinda just took over and said she'll take care of me. I loved how she talked me through every little thing she did to my face because she knew I wasn't familiar with the procedures and the masks. It was awesome and my skin felt like a million bucks after that. I am so happy I found Lisa, since then she has taught me how to take care of my skin without pushing anything she's selling onto me which is so great. She now has her own line of products and she didn't even try to sell them to me! I had to ask her for some samples to try them out and she gave me so much. I found Lisa through Groupon when I was looking for facial deals. I thought I would give her a try due to the good reviews on Yelp. I bought the Groupon and it was super easy to make an appointment with her. I made the appointment with her on a random Saturday afternoon. When I drove up to the location, I was a little confused as my Google maps pointed me to a random apartment. After double checking, I realized the apartment location was correct. There is plenty of street parking around, so I was able to park easily. I was a little early (I did not realize parking was going to be so easy), so I went up to the apartment and rang the doorbell. I did not get a response, so I just waited outside until my appointment time. It was about 5 minutes past my appointment time and I was starting to get concerned that I had the wrong location, but Lisa came out after a few minutes. I realized that she had a client. Not a big deal for me since it was only a few minutes. The inside of Lisa's apartment is sooo cute! So much pink everywhere and super cute accessories in her apartment. During my first appointment, Lisa and I had a discussion about my skin. And, after our discussion, she led me to the room. I loved her facial. It was relaxing and my skin felt so clean after the extractions and microdermabrasion. She was also soothing, letting me know she was doing every step of the way. My facial was about an hour and I left feeling clean and smooth. I also liked the fact that Lisa never pushed me to buy anything or other services. I did ask her about a cleanser and she recommended one to me (again, not being pushy at all). After the facial, she gave me advice on how to keep my skin looking better and I was off to go. Lisa is a hidden gem in LA. I've been looking for a good esthetician and Lisa is one of the best I've come across. She works in her home right next to the Grove. Parking is easy and plentiful and Lisa is very friendly and easy to talk to. The best part about Lisa is that you can tell that she really loves what she does and is extremely knowledgeable about all the latest developments. She had her own shop in a different state for 16 years before moving out here last year and her experience and passion for her work are evident in interacting with her. She asks you about your current skincare routine and makes recommendations based on your skin type. Her prices are very fair for the quality of service that you get. She doesn't try to upsell anything and is just so friendly and easygoing. You can also communicate with her and make appointments via text which makes life easier. All my friends I saw over the next 48 hours kept commenting on how great my skin looked - when does that happen?? When you have an excellent facialist, apparently. Lisa is also proof of her own abilities - you won't believe how old she is when she tells you. Her skin is flawless. I'm so happy I've found a facialist I can stick with here in LA. Ladies - if you want a little R&R or think your skin needs some TLC, check Lisa out. Have been going to Lisa for over a year now consistently and I can definitely say that she's transformed my skin ! I struggle with hyperpigmentation and acne and her facials and skin care products have made a huge difference in my skin. Her brightening toner and balancing gel cleanser are my favorites out of my purchases and if i have acne the cleanser clears it right up. I adore Lisa! I've been aesthetician-hopping for years now, and I found Lisa through groupon, and I now go to her every month. She works in her home, but you wouldn't even be able to tell because of the layout; you aren't walking into some messy home operation. Bought the Groupon for a specialized facial, microdermabrasion, custom peel, called to make an appointment and was able to schedule some time the next day. Lisa was absolutely amazing!!! I expressed my concerns with my skin and what I wanted out of my facial. She knew exactly what to do. Right away she took great care of me from start to finish. Wow. Was recommended to Lisa by a friend. I called her and immediately hit it off with her over the phone. She told me that she works at a spa or at her home. I decided for my first visit, I would venture to her home spa for a facial and ultrasound treatment. Wow again. Lisa actually met me out front of her building and showed me in to her very comfortable spa room loaded with all the amenities. What impressed me the most was her warmth and confidence. She proceeded to give me the best facial that I've ever had (and I've been to a number of places in town) and this was even despite doing her conscientious work in a second bedroom. Really worked on some clogged pores. I recently brought my teenage daughter to see Lisa for a facial. My daughter was having teenage acne and was already on oral and topical medication but it wasn't clearing up the last bit of acne. She is getting ready to start a new school so I wanted to see if we might be able to get her skin looking better. Not only is my daughters skin 100% better but is even has a glow. My daughter said Lisa was extremely through and said it was the best facial she had ever had and it is not easy to impressed a teenager! I was referred to Lisa by a friend since I was visiting LA on business and enjoy have facial treatments when on the road. When I met her at her Faux French salon I was immediately relaxed by her wonderful southern accent. I say this because I have a lot of southern relatives and their calm accents always make me feel warm and welcome. While I can't recall the name of the facial treatment I had (I never remember things like that) I do know that I felt totally cared for and cared about, not just like another appointment. I'm always concerned that, being from out of the area, my treatments won't motivate the salon person to be their best with me. That wasn't the case with Lisa. She took charge of the service, guided me through it with skill and allowed me to relax, exactly what I wanted from my time with her. My skin looked pretty amazing, too. I, too, have had my share of facials over the years - some salons provide good facials in small little rooms with no charm and questionable cleanliness. Others rank 'high' on the glam/luxury scale, but offer nothing in terms of changing clients' skin. Lisa does it all - her DARLING, perfectly appointed (Parisian chic influence) 'home office' is the intersection of excellent service and charming luxury. Lisa knows EXACTLY what she's doing. Bought a groupon for 2 services - a facial and microdermabrasion treatment. The day of treatment I went to Lisa's home/office and we talked about my skin, basically issues I was having and what I wanted from the treatment. She then designed my treatment with all of this in mind. I left with my skin feeling clean and soft. She was gentle but thorough and my skin has felt amazing since! Her home is lovely and smells of eucalyptus and made me feel very relaxed.
