Ginger and Fred's deconstructed caprese salad
    Lisa R.

Absolutely amazing building, service and atmosphere. The soup was delicious but the rest was just ok for me, for the price. The deconstructed salad was beautiful to look at but had very little flavor...some great ideas that photographed well but didn't taste Ike much. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough! Very happy we visited but there is way better food to be had in Prague!

Beautiful view from this restaurant- lovely day or night! Wonderful waitstaff- friendly and attentive. We just had drinks and soup so that's all can comment on but the drinks were great and the soups were wonderful! We had the smoked salmon soup (came with actual chunks of smoked salmon) and potato soup (velvety smooth, with truffle oil- just the ticket for a cold gray day!) We would go back, for sure. The menu looked amazing!

This place is all about the views and the food. I recommend you make reservations and the window area typically gets booked. They have an io ntternational menu but also have traditional food from Prague (sausage, dumplings etc). The person attending to us was very professional and service was quick, yet we did not feel as if we were being rushed out.

Prague has been amazing so far and this place added to that. The setting could not be better, with gorgeous sweeping views of Prague and the Vltava river you have a great seat no matter where you are in the restaurant. The food was just as amazing with great service to match it. We had the lamb and beef which were both prepared exquisitely with great presentation as well. Don't forget to head upstairs after your done since the glass bar and terrace are equally spectacular and not to be missed while visiting Prague and the dancing house!

    Would you believe, dessert?!

OMG!! This restaurant checks off all the boxes - FABULOUS view, artwork, place settings, servers, and most importantly, food! Everything is sooo creatively presented! It definitely was the highlight of our trip to Prague! Don't miss it!

Great place with a great view. Definitely for tourists but a must go to. The risotto was excellent along with everything else. Try their signature dessert. Nice wine selection and great service. No complaints

The sauce seemed to have been made from a can (1 star off) as the diced tomatoes tasted different than the whole tomatoes that were added to the dish later; the whole tomatoes tasted way better. My husband got the pinsa alla diavola, which was like a spicy pepperoni pizza. It was fine, but reminded me of a pizza at a kids' birthday party (1 star off), maybe only slightly better. I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

It was my second visit to Prague so I was taking my time to see more than the "must see things." As I said, I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was taking in the park where artists were painting, people were reading and I pulled out my phone to use the Merlin app to identify birds that were singing. It was totally picturesque. But I wasn't hungry. So I regretfully moved on without eating there. Imagine the elation a few days later when someone in our group booked a dinner reservation for us at the same place I was regretting having missed! With a group of a dozen of us, I think someone ordered everything on the menu. We were all thrilled. We had appetizers , cocktails and entrees -- everything we had was great! The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!

To start I had the marinated salmon which was one of the best starters I have had. Complex flavours and textures are complimented by an appropriate chilli hit which brings the whole dish together perfectly. The coconut crumb was a touch of genius. Hubby had the fried peppers, they were 3 stuffed and fried peppers that he loved, I found the habanero too spicy for me. For mains I had the lamb, one of the best lamb dishes I have had. Perfectly cooked lamb, both sou vide and grilled. Accompaniments were delicious and the chilli hit of the perfect sauce made the dish sing. Hubby had the black pearl, love the theatre of it all...you sign a waiver and they present you with a tray of tissues, milk and vodka to ease the burn. The dish was beautifully presented. I managed 3 little tastes and my tummy burned for a long time after. Surprising, the flavors were excellent. Hubby ate most of it but he did suffer through it....definitely not for the faint hearted. I would be back often if I lived here! After dining at some of the worlds top rated restaurants...I can say that this is a true gem thay clearly has some mad genius at the helm, a person who understands delicate flavors and chilli and plates like a God. My husband cannot handle spicy so I tried the habanero. I could only handle 2 bites before my mouth was on fire. For our entrees, my husband ate the chili con carne dish. They provided pate and some bread "on the house" to start. I do not like pate so I didn't touch mine. The service was great overall. Great place if you want to try something other than goulash and the other Czech fare offered around town. Pro tip: they charge you for the bread basket if you eat a slice. It was like 10 crowns.

I was warmly greeted immediately upon walking in and asked if I wanted to sit in the front or back of dining areas. I chose the back away from the door and windows to avoid any possible cold drafts. The decor was nice and the place had a few patrons. Prices were reasonable and I was surprised at their large selection of items. I chose the roasted duck with red cabbage and potatoe dumplings. Honey, I enjoyed everything on my plate. That duck was nicely seasoned and one of the best I've tasted in awhile. I was full and wasn't sure if I could handle dessert but my waiter, Mirick convinced me to try. He was a sweetheart, very professional. He told me to make sure I bring cash for tips because a lot of places in Prague dont let you add the tip with the bill using a debit/ credit card which I understand. Now back to that dessert. I ordered the powdered mini pancakes, blueberries, vanilla icecream with this delicious sauce. Uhmm uhmm I had to hide this protruding stomach when I stood up. Everything was well made and hit all the right spots. I would definitely check this spot out if you're in the area.

Be aware that this is a Michelin star restaurant and it's fine dining, so reservations are a must. Don't expect to just walk in. And to experience the food, I always order the full tasting menu. I truly could live happily on toast, boiled potatoes, fruit, and Diet Coke. I'm also both a vegetarian and someone with a fairly limited palate, so I didn't think Field would be a hit for me. WOW was this an amazing experience! First: gorgeous space. Comfy tables, set far enough apart so we didn't feel crowded, and it didn't get loud. Beautiful artwork on the ceiling. Bright. Cheery. We loved it. We are visiting our son who lives a few hours south of Prague. My husband and son are fabulously adventurous eaters and they gifted me with this outing to Field, a Friday lunch reservation at 1:30 pm. Lunch seems the perfect time to come as the restaurant was not totally booked and we had so much attention from staff, including the front desk, wait staff, sommelier, and bartender. But I'm guessing dinner would be a blast, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Our lead waitress was Michaela, and she was the most polished and professional server I've ever met!! We felt so well cared for. In our 3 person party we had me: a vegetarian, and our son who has severe food allergies, to peanuts, pine nuts, and most nuts. 2 of the 3 don't drink any alcohol. Amazingly, it was not a problem at all. In fact, they were prepared!! There was a vegetarian prix fixe menu, with both a large and a smaller option, plus we could order the 'non-alcoholic' version of the wine pairings. So we did. My son had phoned ahead to inform them about his food allergies, and Michaela and the bartender confirmed them when we were seated. The staff was so welcoming and completely knowledgeable about ingredients. They did a fantastic job keeping my son safe, like bringing out his dessert first so it would come close to the 5 other pastries that included nuts. The bartender made him a special cocktail that was hazelnut-free. The 'pesto' was made with pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. The staff told us the ingredients of every single dish and cocktail!! And literally showed us! Our waitress brought over a tray that included things like snails, crawfish, and artichokes, and then she told us where they'd sourced them in Czechia! Except the crawfish, as we learned they are a protected animal in Czechia, so they are brought in from Germany. We loved that part, hearing where all of these beautiful ingredients came from. I'll include a few photos from both my vegetarian and their regular prix fixe adventures. The pea soup was my favorite! My son said the deer main dish was the 'best thing I've ever eaten, in my entire life'. I didn't take photos of the non-alcoholic cocktails, but those were lovely. Especially a super fun foamy pomegranate one!
