From the moment I met her, she made me feel so comfortable and completely taken care of. I have seen her for Dysport and RF Microneedling (twice). She explains everything clearly, answers every question, gives you clear written after care instructions and you can just tell she genuinely cares about her patients and their results. What I appreciate most is how much she prioritizes safety. I've had to rebook appointments more than once, because I still had remnants of spray tan on my face and another time because of my tretinoin use. At the time it felt like a bummer, but it showed me how much she truly puts her patients first and will never cut corners. That level of integrity is rare and so appreciated. I trust her completely with my skin, I love my results afterwards and just highly recommend Katie. I also want to add an additional note about the sweet girls who also do my check-in/out. I have been a customer for years, have had several sessions and have always had a great experience. The nurses are super nice (especially Krysten!!), the clinic is very clean & the results are worth your money. Usually I have nothing bad to say, except I tried to call them through phone to reschedule my appointment in which I spoke with Nicole at this Escondido location who came off very rude, sarcastic and standoffish. I usually have a full body session in which it came to my attention that they are no longer allowed to do this. Usually I do up upper body and then they let the machine cool down for a bit and then do lower. If this is an issue then I don't understand why my last 6 sessions has been scheduled like this. I totally understand Nicole if you can't do this, and I don't want you to get in trouble but the customer service and sarcasm is completely unprofessional and makes me not want to come back as a loyal customer.

What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. I started keeping a cancellation list in my phone because of this. It's well over 15 in the last year alone. You can often also expect to wait 15-20 minutes on a good day just for her to get started. There were several times I would sit there waiting for my appointment to start. Several times she would stop working on me and text other clients to cancel them because she was so behind with me that she had to make up a lie to cancel the next poor client. She told me several times that I was "too big. And needed to lose weight." She also would tell me stories about other clients and her paranoia about someone trying to steal her job is next level. She is so paranoid about other electrolysis providers paying people to "study her work" and steal her job. She's sent me emails outside of work randomly being paranoid that I would report her to Kaiser. She also has gotten so unprofessional with me over texting and told me she sent me to LA for a hair check with my surgeons just for me to "get a reality check."
