Of course I left with plump moosturized skin and feeling like a million bucks. I also left with fewer dark spots, more even skin tone and all the puffiness from my tired face was gone. That alone made my face look leaner and younger. I don't go anywhere that does not get results. And Teresa /Bellassima gets results. There must be a hundred spas between North Park and Escondido. I've been going to this spa for about two years. It started with a Groupon and has ended with me joining their membership because I enjoy my massage and facial services with them so much. It's worth the monthly self-care splurge! As many other reviewers have said, the customer service is personable and friendly. Booking is easy as well. I've had my massages from several different masseuses and each one has been fantastic. I lean on the more firm side and they've all really listened when I've asked for extra work on my shoulders and back. I can feel them working out the knots; it feels so nice, especially since I am at a computer all the time. I like that they also give exercises to try to help me stretch between sessions. When it comes to pampering, massages have always been my go-to but the facials here are equally fantastic. In the past, I've received facials (at other places) where I thought, did they just put on a mask and that it's? That is NOT the experience you receive here. The facial involves several layers of skin treatments plus my favorite - when they remove my blackheads. It's the weirdest sensation but I like it. I feel they give my skin proper attention (it always glows when they're through) and it's also like a mini-upper body massage (on the arms, neck, and head) throughout. I love this place!! I've been searching for a home spa for a couple of years and I found it! The staff at Bellassima are all super, the massages and facials are consistent and professional. The massages I receive are all deep tissue, needed for my upper back and neck. The staff takes the time to discuss your skin regime and provide professional advice and recommendations but not pushy. I love Bellassima Sea Spa!!! Such an amazing and knowledgeable spa and staff. I've been coming here for over a year, started seeing them when they were in Coronado and have followed them to La Jolla. Their La Jolla location is further away from my house but distance didn't matter to me. I've found two estheticians (Teresa and Victoria) who know what they're doing. They're so honest and never try to up-sell me products or treatments. My skin looks amazing and I get compliments regularly on how great my skin looks. I'm more comfortable now in my 30s wearing less makeup than I did in my 20s. If you're wondering whether or not to schedule an appointment- stop wondering and schedule! I had the pleasure of being treated to a massage and facial at Bellassima Sea Spa. The staff was extremely professional. Kilian provide me with a great massage and Victoria gave me an incredible facial. My only disappointment had NOTHING to do with the spa but the parking in the Village of La Jolla. All of the free parking in La Jolla near the spa is 2 hour maximum. Since my two services were going to be 2 hours and knowing parking enforcement I chose to pay in a local lot as not to receive a ticket. In the future I will only pay for one service at a time so not to have to worry about the parking in the village. I have started to recommend this spa to friends and family but have cautioned them regarding the parking situation. read more

I had a virtual consultation with Teresa and she was very flexible to work with my schedule. She was able to see my skin and we discussed what I wanted to work on for my skin. We were able to schedule an in person facial appointment that same week as I wanted to get pampered before my birthday weekend. I cannot express how grateful I am for the way she took good care of my skin. I have always had very sensitive skin and was very hesitant about what goes on my skin. Not only was she very professional and kind, I love hearing how passionate she is about skin care. She taught me so much about my daily skin care routine and would check in on me with how my skin was doing. Really 4.5****'s. I came here with a Groupon I purchased for myself. I love Coronado as it feels like vacation for me when I come though I live in East County. Great for a "stay vacation". First, they are great at communicating, appointments, reminders etc. It is easy to book with them. I had a call from the owner wondering if I'd mind a male massage therapist. I've had them before so I said "no" though I'd prefer a female..becuz of my own body image issues...ha!..I was thankful she asked PRIOR instead of surprising me when I showed up! I am so GLAD I had Robert. He is awesome. Love how he starts with the feet..ahhhh.Perfect amount of pressure..very professional. The facial was OK ( I evaluate all facials by one I had at an Aveda salon once..It was unreal) but the provider did a cool 10 min treatment on me in addition to my paid service at no charge, as I was inquiring about certain services. I appreciated her explanation about the service and product that was available. If it wasn't so pricy, I'd go for that too. I guess my back ( massage) wins out over my face. Lol. I have to say I was offered a package deal at a great price after my whole pampering session and "went for it" knowing I could book with Robert in the future. This week, I was having unexpected back issues and was able to get an appt. Robert even exceeded his original service. I was very thankful.!! My first visit was an unexpected surprise as they really treat you well as a client. I totally felt pampered. Pricey for not the best massage. I feel like my therapist didn't listen to what I truly wanted. It was my first massage since having my baby and so needed. I left still not feeling relaxed. My facial was amazing!!!! The esthetician who provides my service was older on age and just the kindest woman. I wish I could remember her name. She really was a gem. A middle aged, occasional athlete, I went to Bellassima with severe back pain, and Nicole immediately took charge. She gathered the details of my pain and likely causes and got right to work. I have had dozens of massages from at least 20 masseurs, but the these results were amazing. I left Bellassima without pain, and felt great even the next morning. My husband gifted me with a Travelzoo voucher for a massage at this spa. It was a very frustrating and time consuming process to schedule an appointment via text message. Many times I had to prompt the person on the other end to please reply back to me so that I could be scheduled. The spa itself was okay - clean and quiet. The massage I had was only average: I certainly would not have paid the full price listed for it. The masseuse was friendly but not overly attentive. I inquired as to the package rates after my massage but the masseuse didn't know. No one else was in the spa that I know of while I was there. It was overall a disappointing experience. read more

I received a Groupon from my sister for the facial/massage package. I scheduled my day more than a month out since they were booked. The night before my appointment my brother surprised my sister and I and flew in from Texas to visit us before he is deployed (for the first time) to Korea for 9 months. I called and left a voicemail letting them know this and apologized but wanted to reschedule to which they responded with a "50$ cancellation charge." Umm.. ok? Obviously not circumstances I could control and with Coronado being a predominantly military town you would think they would have more empathy and respect towards the situation and our service members not just worrying about a 50$ fee. As someone who has grown up in a military family knowing sometimes soldiers don't come home I would obviously pick quality time with my brother over keeping a spa appointment. Long story short looks like I will not be redeeming my groupon and I will not be going there. I choose to go somewhere where the establishment embraces the community they are surrounded by not just use them to get a quick buck. I initially purchased a Groupon for a massage/facial that was amazing! Teresa and her staff really do a great job. Because of that, I decided to join her yearly membership plan in August. I was informed that they would be moving locations, but I didn't realize how much of an issue it would become. I had an appointment scheduled at the temporary location at the beginning of December for a massage/facial. I arrived to be told that my appointments were actually an hour later, however I received the confirmation for the time that I arrived. They didn't have anyone to start my massage and I had other appointments, so I wasn't able to stay for my facial. As it appeared to be a computer glitch, they re-booked me for later in early January. I received an email from Teresa the week prior to my appointment stating that the new location wasn't open, but didn't want to cancel my appointment yet as they MAY be open, but she would email us to let us know later in the week. I received an automated confirmation, however had not heard from Teresa, so I emailed her directly. She stated that they weren't going to be open, and would contact me to rebook. Because I was the membership plan, I pre-booked for 1/20. After not hearing anything from Teresa from 1/6-1/18, I called and left a voicemail asking if my appointment was still going to occur on 1/20. I received a call 1 day before my appointment stating that it needed to be canceled because they are still not open. I was able to speak with Teresa herself who apologized. While I understand that moving locations is extremely time-consuming, my time is valuable as well and I do not feel like a valued customer. I have now paid for December and January services and have not received them. The response I received was that they will extend my membership for 2 months at no charge. While I appreciate this, I've already paid for these services that I have not received. I attempted to cancel my membership as getting a massage/facial is the one time each month that I am able to relax/unwind, however it has become a huge pain to book and often have no idea if my appointment will ever occur. Teresa did not want to lose me as a customer and was hesitant to cancel my membership. At this point, I don't even want to book another appointment, but they are holding my money hostage as I did sign an agreement to stay for 1 year. I wish I would have known that the customer service was less than stellar. I guess I have to go back, but I can't stay I'm looking forward to it. read more
