We can never express enough how fortunate we are to have Children Central as our daughter's first…read moreschool - Every member there, from the warm ladies greeting everyone in the morning to the classroom teachers, to the owners who treat this place as their own baby showed the highest level of caring and integrity. Special thanks to Miss Quaneace and the very involving and responsive owners Kevin and Sharon Port! We were concerned our daughter couldn't speak much English when she first joined, but that concern quickly went away as it was almost a magic to not only see her English skills improving noticeably, but more importantly her getting more and more comfortable socially everyday. Three months later, she was almost a fluent bilingual speaker! We know there was no magic, it was Miss Q and other teachers' individualized attention and help that took a long way in our daughter's development. If you only expect Chidlren Central to be a place to drop off your kids, you will be quickly (and positively) surprised you are wrong. There are so many well thought-out curriculums, socialization, creative movements and learning opportunities that go well beyond just a child care facility. From music, art, physical development to a third language (for us:)), these well structured opportunities really stimulated our daughter's early interests in different areas - now she sings songs to us and plays drum set everyday and enjoys drawing, dancing and all kinds of sports. We had to move to another state due to job changes. Our daughter stayed until the very last day we lived in the area and she missed her teachers and friends so much there. We strongly recommend Children Central to other parents who are looking for a school that's their kid's extended family!

I want to warn parents to stay away from Children Central: it is a business, not a safe and caring…read moreplace where you can leave your child with trust. I have a 6 months baby, she is always calm, she makes a lot of sounds before she bursts into cries, and she loves to smile. After going to the daycare for just 5 days, she cries so loud whenever she needs attention, she is afraid of people, and she lost her smile. The first two days going to daycare was good, the assistant director and the teachers all said she smiles a lot. Just some drool rashes which I thought maybe okay, I can't expect the teachers to wipe her all the time. However, when I pickup my baby during the third day, I was a bit early and arrived at 4:50pm. I hear a baby crying so loud and so desperately and that sounded like mine! When I get to the infant room, I realized it is my baby crying, left alone in the rocker, and no one was attending to her. Only when the teacher see me, she picked up my baby and handed her to me. Her eyes were all red, and she smelled liked poop (I later checked she did poop and was not changed). I asked how long has she been crying, she said "just a few minutes", like it's not a big deal. I then went to talk to the director, she showed me the camera from 4:30pm. I don't know what time she was put in the rocker, but for the entire 20mins on the video, she is in that rocker with no one attending to her. There camera has no sound and the rocker is not facing the camera, so there is no evidence that she was crying the entire time. This was my first red flag. When I got home I tried to search for the teacher's bio on the daycare's website, because I have not seen her before. That's when I noticed they are not infant classroom teachers. When I first toured the daycare, it was stilled operated by its owner, there were 7 babies and 3 teachers. But the owner later stepped down and hired a director to operate and the facility expanded so fast and by the time I enroll, there are 16 babies in the infant class (I asked the teacher because I see many babies). This is my second red flag. The fourth day she went to daycare, her got home with a cut on her arm. It was almost 2 inch long, and an entire flesh was missing from the cut. It is also very wide and cannot possibly be a scratch from a baby herself. I asked for an accident report but had no response. I called child abuse hotline and had a social worker coming over, that's when the director gave us a report saying the teachers don't know. This time the director refused to show anyone the camera, so I still don't know what happened. This is the largest red flag and I withdrew her from the facility. I lost my first month tuition, the deposit, and the daycare did not return my baby's supplies. And it has been 10 days since the cut, she still has a scar on the arm and when I touch it, I can still feel the dent (so you can tell how deep it was). Parents, stay away from this place for your child's sake.
