I've come here for coffee many times, but this was the first time I ordered something from the food menu. I had a Chicken Sandwhich and a side salad. The Chicken was tender and tasty, but I wasn't too fond of the Parmesan Crusted Garlic Sourdough Bread. The salad was really good though and all ingredients tasted really fresh. Overall, I think the quality is quite good. The Customer Service was another story. The employees in the food section were unfriendly and almost on the verge of being rude. I have always had great Customer Service when I order coffee (which is a different section), so I was very surprised. After some shopping at scheels and watching the grandson play in the kids playground area for a while, it was time to eat at Ginna's Cafe on the first floor of Scheels. The location is ideal. It is recently remodeled and spacious, clean and decorative. The service is improved to order in one area and the line up to pay at a register while your meal starts to be prepared. The staff is professional, personable and proficient. The food is brought to your table in a very quick time frame. I actually did lot put my order number on the table yet and the chicken tenders were being delivered. This kids menu has 3 large chicken tenders with ranch dressing, fruit cup or chips, milk or juice and a soft serve ice cream with sprinkles upon request. Came for a kids meal just to get a quick snack and it's the best thing for your buck. Also, the staff is very friendly and the new renovation of the place makes it easy to order what you need to. They have everything from fudge, roasted nuts, jerky, gelato, and their own café. A little bit of something for everyone! The staff is always working really hard, and the food comes out pretty fast. Come here on a Sunday so it was pretty busy, but there was definitely a place to stay and they bring the food to you as you have a number to designate your order. Id stay away from the sandwiches as they seem to all be loaded with about a cup of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. This place has 4.3 stars is wild to me. Let's start with atmosphere. Really nice cafe centered in the middle of the outlet mall. Open walled cafe with plenty of seats, fountain machine, and a place to enjoy sandwiches, salads, coffees, ice cream, and pastries. So the variety is there. The service was great. I was unfortunately insecure I've changing me and my friends order multiple times--menu was small I couldn't read--but the cashier was super nice about it and made sure I didn't feel bad. 5 star for him. I got the chipotle chicken sando, she got the grilled cheese with a honey latte. Chicken sando was extremely good was definitely satisfying. I think the sauce could've stood out more. However, cheese, chicken, and bread were melted, flavorful, and toasted in a way I'd have it again. Truckee River Sludge is definitely the best one they have - but really, all of the flavors are delicious. More recently, we have been coming in for some ice cream. Such good portions! They're pretty gigantic sandwiches that are stuffed with the ingredients. Not usually a long wait when we go, so service can be pretty fast. We go to Scheel's all the time and this was the first time we actually tried the sandwiches here. I had heard from my friend that those sandwiches were some of the best he had. This is a usual stop for morning tea, espresso, or dare I say sweets. Sometimes we dabble with seasonal drinks. Try the season's Miel latte...the honey and cinnamon milk froth is creamy with double shot espresso. It is not overly sweet, but order as a small drink if you'd prefer to taste more espresso. The staff is always nice, new staff are especially helpful and observant in both learning their team process, and helping the customer. I have managed to inhale fudges..I never knew I'd fancy fudge until Ginna's! Seasonal pumpkin and apple cider fudge are tasty as well..i preferred pumpkin. I honestly did not know about this place until I saw an old former coworker eating one of their Cesar Wraps and I had to get one. From Starbucks, to wraps, soups, sandwiches, gelato, and salads. To me this is a great place for a stop for food or coffee when shopping in the massive store. Or even a place to hang while everyone else is shopping or the kids are playing. The food is actually not that bad either. The Cesar Wrap will always be a favorite of mine , but I have also had their southwest wrap and its pretty good as well. Today I had their Philly cheese steak, and all though I was a bit disappointed they didn't have my favorite chips (funky fusion) , I was still satisfied with my meal. Phenomenal! Conveniently located inside my favorite store ever SCHEELS! We have visited this little deli in the past but never really ordered food but more so for the gelato. We didn't want to cut our shopping short but really needed to eat something. We remembered about Ginna's Cafe. We strolled our way there with our full cart. We were so happy to hear we can bring our cart into the cafe while we eat. As we walked towards the deli we smelled amazing aromas for sure! It was very busy, of course (as expected during a holiday weekend). Menus are a pretty good size from wraps to sandwiches. We both ordered Philly sandwiches which were amazing. They both came with a drink and bag of chips. I paid no more $22 which is deal. The sandwiches were huge and very filling. We ordered some gelato after our late lunch and we were both over the moon! They have a large selection for everyone for sure! Everyone behind the counter was so nice and courteous. I wish I would have asked if we earn points dining here with being Scheels Visa card holders. Something I noticed at Ginnas this weekend that made me appreciate Scheels that much more was that they had a The Missing Man table or as some of you may know it as the Fallen Comrade table. This is very special to me as we come from a military family and I serve the community of soldiers myself. We reserve our emotions and respect for those that did not come home. Oh Fudge!!! This cafe is located inside Scheels. As I checked-in Scheels in Yelp my friends started to post comments on my check-in... they mentioned about the ferris wheel, the aquarium, the shooting gallery... but my favorite was "Be sure to get some fudge!" Heck yes! but we walked all over the store first before heading back downstairs to their cafe. The name has changed from Gramma Ginna's Coffee & Fudge Shop to now simply called Ginna's Cafe. There are ample seating available. One half of the long counter served soup and sandwiches and drinks while the other half was dedicated to gelato ice-cream and fudge of all sorts! It was a warm July when we made the drive to Reno so a gelato sounded perfectly good and refreshing. I had a scoop of the chocolate hazelnut and it was mmm, mmm, good! As if that one scoop wasn't enough chocolate for me I had to get one of their signature fudge to go... I carefully scanned the choices but didn't want to hold up the line so i just chose the Rocky Road fudge and it was given to me nice and tucked away inside a white Scheels box. Had we not eaten brunch at Oxbow Cafe & Bistro in Reno that morning we would've tried their deli sandwiches here as they looked yummy too! Just have to come back... even if it's just for the fudge! It's located inside Scheels. If you're a sports nut like me, or an outdoor kind of person, you can spend hours if not days (kidding) inside this mega sports store. You need a place to relax, sit down and replenish your energy in order to continue your adventure. There's ample tables and chairs, and it's very spacious. They have all kinds of snacks from hot meals to cold food, coffee, tea, water, ice cream and desserts. They do have plenty of variety, which is nice and it won't put a major dent in your wallet as they are all reasonably priced. Service is hit or miss depending on who you get. Some are just there for the paycheck as you can tell they are delighted to help you...NOT! But this goes for these kinds of small shops. Discovered this little cafe in the back of our favorite store and I'm glad I did! Went there one morning for a coffee and just my luck it was half off. They have half off coffees the first hour that they're open . Yesterday we tried the BLT, fries and a salad. Fries could be a little more crispy and salad dressing could've either been on the side or the salad in a bigger container but everything was amazing either way. Bacon was thick and crispy and the bread perfectly lightly toasted as well. I think this will be my new favorite sandwich spot! read more

I live in walking distance to Scheels and I make it my daily habit to stop by and get my vanilla latte 1/2 vanilla flavor. It is perfection!!! Nice hidden gem. Coffee is fresh and delicious tasting. In every latte , you can taste the delicious grounded espresso beans. Def 10x better than Starbucks or any corporate coffee places. Also, their gelato is one of the the best gelatos I have had. Customer service was a little lacking, but I think they were overwhelmed. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. I thought adding croutons inside was a nice touch. They added a crunch factor. I love crunchy! Only when it's supposed to be that is. My boys devoured their chicken strips tags came with an applesauce and the side of Mac salad I bought. They serve Starbucks here as well as fudge an my most favorite ice cream. GELATO. I didn't get any because I'm trying to watch what I eat, but it looked so pretty and delicious! I think this place is a really convenient addition to scheels. I'm the kind of person that likes to kill many birds with one stone because I don't have time for extra trips. I have been a shopper at scheels for a while now and I literally only go to Scheels for the cafe now. Let me start by saying, it's always super clean! Do you know how hard it is to keep a place that serves as many people as they do a day, this clean?! Love all the guys and gals who work here. Always super friendly and helpful, fast service even when they are super busy. The cafe serves Starbucks coffee/tea, which I would die without (literally die) they Also have some amazing deli sammich options (hot or cold) haven't been dissatisfied with any option yet- kids menu, wraps, delicious soups (red pepper Gouda and white cheddar habanero are MUST tries!) -they also have tons of special menu items like smoothies and Italian sodas, milkshakes, and some killer daily special meals! Don't even get me started on the sweets...a bazillion flavors of fudge and gelato to choose from, candied pecans and walnuts, popcorn, etc. -just TONS of yummy stuff. The best part about all of it though, is the staff. I'm horrible with names but literally everyone who works there is amazing. Just browsing through the store when I spotted this little deli looking place. I wasn't sure if it was a stand alone or part of the Scheels Sporting Goods store (which it is). In addition to the deli was a gelato section and a fudge section. I went for their daily special...an Italian Sandwich. The combo meal came with chips and a drink...$7.99 (plus tax)! Wow...the sandwich was way bigger than I was expecting and super tasty! I didn't have room for the chips so I just saved them. Definitely worth the money you spend and this place is worth detouring from the other local restaurants in my opinion.
