    Joe's Special
    Robert M.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning. Had a wonderful meal he got the Joe's special, and I selected the Cajun Benedict! WOW. The Cajun sausage made the dish. If you like really flavorful with a light spice kick, you should try this dish. I love the size of the coffee mugs...makes you feel like you are at home. The ambience is open and inviting with booths and adequate tables without feeling jam-packed or over crowded. Really a relaxing good meal. Go give it a try..

Fresh squeezed OJ was a +. Service was fast, good recommendations and honest answers about selections. You want breakfast or lunch, probably a great place to visit. Inside is clean, plenty of tables and places to sit. I was there for a quick meeting and it wasn't too loud. Fair prices.

Was back in town for the holidays and visited Jack's Coffee House in Sparks. Not too far from downtown and has a variety of options for any pallet, great portions with reasonable prices. No problem getting seated on a Wednesday morning. Our server quickly brought our drinks, offered us the specials and some clarifications on a few dishes. Coffee was fresh as well as the OJ. All meals were served very hot and prepared with love. Everything was great. Our server checked up on us frequently but allowed us space to talk and enjoy our meal. Restaurant was very clean and service was awesome. I highly recommend Jack's Coffee House. They can accommodate large groups for those wanting a meal close to the holidays.

If i am in the area I would stop in again. Servers were all very friendly, and I really enjoyed my omlette. The branding is a little confusing as inside it is Jacobo's on the menu and cups. Thanks for breakfast!

Amazing place. It was around $78 for a table of 4. (2) kid meals. And 2 adult entrees.

After passing by this establishment numerous times we've finally tried it out on a Sunday morning. I got the Chilaquiles with a Carne Asada on top. Chilaquiles were decent and so were rhe refried beans . My daughter had the crêpes and thought they were good . Pancakes were a little on the dry side Overall, the food was decent and service was ok. A little pricey for being a breakfast/coffee spot. We were in and out within 60 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday morning.

This place, despite what some people say, is one of the most amazingly well ran restaurant in the Reno Sparks area. Every time we go. The wait staff is super duper friendly. Always very helpful with dietary changes I need and also insanely quick to get the food to your table. It has always come out hot and fresh even when I go with a large group of 10+ people. My go to meal is the vegetarian omelet. So satisfying yet no meat needed. My wife gets something a little different every time. And my coworkers LOVE all of the variety they have. In fact they love this place so much we almost exclusively go here when we have some sort of company breakfast. Lots of parking outside. They get REAL busy on the weekends but like I said before....amazingly keep up with the demand in a very impressive way.

I had my usual clam chowder soup bowl. It was very warm and hearty breakfast. My husband had his french toast which is an all time favorite. We also added some scones. I learned they make their own scones. Fresh and really yummy. You should try it if you haven't yet.

We were pleasantly greeted & seated immediately, then just like that, our server (Ramon Jr) was at our table, took our drink order & answered a few questions. I'm glad I had perused the menu yesterday & pretty much knew what I wanted, my daughter ordered Ramon's Skillet & I had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs ( gravy on the side). Portions were huge. I was glad cuz I had been fasting due to a medical procedure. They know what they are doing in the kitchen, eggs were perfectly over medium w/ crispy edges just the way I like them. The chicken fried steak was really Milanese style, perfectly crispy like I'm used to in Mexico, I tasted the gravy & it was really good but once I realized it wasn't American style CFS, I asked our waiter for salsa & pico to put on top!!! Perfection!! I had a lot to tangle with on my own plate but my daughter & I swapped bites of each others dishes, hers came with soft tortillas, the bite I had melted in my mouth! Couldn't finish either plate so decided to take the rest to go. There are many items on the menu I want to try so we will definitely be back!

We tried the waffle with bananas and strawberries and the new Chile Relleno Omelet. The waffle was good with plenty of fruit, and the omelet was delicious! The red sauce is flavorful, but not spicy. The Chili Relleno was fresh and a little spicy, which I love. It also came with a choice of potatoes and toast. If you order coffee, they offer flavored creamers at the table, which is wonderful for those of us who want coffee, but need the flavor! Overall a very popular and great restaurant. We will definitely be back!

A Reno staple in the diner business. You should know what you're getting before you walk through…read morethe door. Quality cooked breakfast and diner foods though nothing will blow you away. I am a regular though I haven't done a review‍. The food is always good and reasonably priced. Service is also outstanding. That being said I tried the Avocado Toast this last time and was a bit disappointed, not traditional at all, just sliced avocado on a piece of toast with two poached eggs that were overcooked. I'll go back to the green chili omelette and skillets next time - they never miss.

I had the Denver omelet and was unfortunately disappointed. The bell pepper (which included green…read moreonly) was raw-- like not just underdone, raw, raw. The cheese wasn't fully melted (and there was a ton of it in addition to the generous amount on top). The omelet was very oily inside, and quality control wasn't there as I found 1.) a random cilantro leaf inside and 2.) a spot of some brown goop that I'm hoping was just pan fond from possibly using a pan that was previously used to cook something else (like fajitas possibly?).... My toast was also not up to par. The wheat bread was dry and a bit brittle and the toast wasn't warm. The butter (or butter substitute?) had not melted in and was just sitting on top like a paste. Our food came out at different times too so I'd recommend if you are there with a group not doing the typical wait-for-everyone's-food-to-arrive-before-eating type of thing. The service felt mixed. Several different people came by often enough (to check for coffee refills, etc.) but some were not warm and did not greet us with a smile. That didn't feel very welcoming. The ambiance isn't impressive. The outside signage doesn't look very good just thrown on top of some older beat up golden arches, but at least the inside looked like it was flipped. I did like that the tables felt spaced out enough that I didn't feel like a server could risk bumping into me with a tray like I have felt at some busier restaurants where the tables are more tight. And random, but I did notice some Hawaiian music was playing as we entered through the set of double doors (perhaps a nod to the previous restaurant?). Overall I might give Jacks a chance again as it seemed to be a standard breakfast place (and I liked that there was no wait for our party of 6 on a Friday morning during spring break) but I will not be ordering a omelet again.

I had previously…read moretried their baked goods which I absolutely loved, but had never dined in for breakfast or lunch until now, and I'm so glad I did. We ordered a mix of items for the table: the lobster eggs Benedict, the chorizo omelet, and a panini (two breakfast dishes and one lunch option), and every single bite was delicious. There honestly wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy. It's a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area, but they do have plenty of parking, which makes it easier once you get there. The staff was friendly, kind, and incredibly accommodating. We came in with a large group of eight, and while it's typically a self-seating setup, they went out of their way to help us find a table that could fit everyone and made the whole experience seamless. I would absolutely recommend stopping by for breakfast or lunch and definitely don't skip the baked goods after.

I did not know how it worked to find a table because there were no open tables or staff available. When we finally found a table to sit, there was no one to get us menus and the one staff we saw was busy helping a few other tables. We got frustrated so we left. I saw a couple other customers leave during that time as well. They really need more people working and I am surprised they have such high ratings. At the second location on Plumb Ln, they were crazy busy as well, but they had a manager managing to help speed up cleaning tables and finding tables that were empty for anyone that came in. It felt a lot more welcoming than the first location. As we were waiting, the interior is more modern and has high ceilings which makes it feel a lot more open and comfortable. The wait was about 20 minutes. Once we got a table, our server did not get our drink or food orders for a while. She was busy. I ordered the Fresh Mushroom and Spinach Omelet and it was good; however, everything else on the plate was not visually appetizing or tasted as good as the omelet. My boyfriend ordered the Hungry Man Waffle Combo which come with 2 waffles, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 pieces of sausage. He did the get the sausage and was given 2 extra pieces of bacon instead. This is fine, but we wish someone notified him of the swap. Not sure why they did not have any more sausage either. Overall, I would not come back because both locations are out of the way, and the service and food was not at the level that makes me want to go back.
