    Before, overgrown weeds

We recently had our garage remodeled and a dry well put in our yard. Once that was completed the landscaping (now just overgrown weeds) we put in many years ago was showing its ugly head against the new garage. We also needed the space and pavers behind the garage re-leveled and a shed moved back. You know how you fix one thing and then other things look bad? We're getting too old to do ourselves and no desire to either! I called multiple landscapers including the one that currently does our lawn cutting and no one even returned our calls. A co-worker recommended Gino. Called him and a few weeks later all was done. He removed all the weeds, railroad ties, leveled behind the garage, hauled everything away, put the shed back, laid sod and built edging around a plant in a corner. Could not be happier with the outcome. Finally everything looks good at the same time and it's a pleasure to sit on our deck and not be embarrassed by our yard!

It was a complete transformation that ended up brilliantly. Throughout the process Selvin was transparent, helpful, and solution-driven to help us achieve the style and quality we sought, all while keeping our budget in mind. His attentiveness is fantastic; he absolutely cares about his clients and takes pride in the work. His team is an extension of his top qualities. This is a company that we'll continue to work with as we have complete trust in their ability to provide creative solutions and perform exceptional work. Additionally, we've contracted Selvin's company to maintain our lawn, and are planning another large project that build upon the wonderful work they've created.

I was ghosted. I am surprised to read all these good reviews. Just to clear things up, Selvin had the wrong email address. The quote had been sent, but I didn't receive it. It was when the followup call by me did not provide any information that I questioned the service. This has been cleared up as an unfortunate misunderstanding. While I am still looking at the quote, I wanted just wanted to clarify what happened.

Upon purchasing my first single-family home, the exterior needed extreme work; I had nothing but a…read morerun-down gravel drive, not even sidewalks or stairs to enter my home. After building an attached garage, I had the pleasure of hiring Extreme Outdoors to beautify the rest of my property's exterior by adding a concrete driveway, a paved sidewalk, and a paved patio. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome, and I can confidently say that Extreme Outdoors exceeded all my [incredibly high] expectations. From our initial meeting to the finishing touches, Extreme Outdoors demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to transforming my outdoor space. Jonathan's attention to detail set him apart as soon as he sent his first 3D renderings of our plans. The renderings alone were breathtaking, so if my outdoor space could be half as amazing as those images, I knew I'd be happy. Before I share the results of Extreme Outdoors' work, I must say that before them, I had hired the concrete contractor who poured the concrete foundation and floor for my attached garage to do all the paving work; Jonathan came into the picture after the aforementioned contractor took my money and disappeared for two and a half months. Jonathan went above and beyond to clean up and fix the disaster the previous contractor left, albeit not his responsibility, to ensure that we had a fresh start and that moving forward, all went smoothly. With his empathetic nature and determination, Jonathan was able to undo a lot of the damage I was left with and we were even able to start the project sooner than expected, getting me closer to the outdoor oasis I couldn't have even imagined would soon be mine. Extreme Outdoors began its work with the construction of my concrete driveway. With a crew of nine men, the concrete work was executed with precision and efficiency without ever compromising quality. Their diligent craftmanship resulted in a smooth and durable surface that I am confident will provide excellent functionality for years to come. Meticulously designed, paver inlays add character to my driveway, which has exponentially enhanced the aesthetic appeal of my property. The paved sidewalk and patio are even more impressive than the driveway. This is where Jonathan's keen eye for design really became obvious, incorporating unique patterns and textures that have added major curb appeal and transformed my backyard into an inviting and stylish area. Jonathan's intricate work resulted in a stunning walkway and patio that I am proud to showcase to my guests. All this phenomenal outdoor work wouldn't be complete without landscaping and lighting. Jonathan carefully planned the placement of plants, trees, and other decorative elements, including retaining walls and beautiful lighting to showcase it all. My favorite part without a doubt is the recessed lighting on my patio resembling a starry night. This work, like everything else, was nothing short of exceptional and helped curate what is now a harmonious and relaxing atmosphere that perfectly complements my house. Throughout the entire project, Extreme Outdoors exhibited professionalism, reliability, and effective communication. Jonathan kept me informed about the progress, and any changes or adjustments were discussed and implemented in a timely manner. When I offered new ideas, he shared his constructive criticisms while keeping my budget and needs at the forefront of every decision, and he patiently adjusted to help those wants become reality. Extreme Outdoors has earned my highest praise and gratitude for enhancing the beauty and functionality of my outdoor space. Their exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction make Jonathan and his guys a reliable and trustworthy choice. Extreme Outdoors genuinely cares about its clients' wants and needs, and Jonathan definitely went above and beyond to ensure my complete satisfaction. Without any reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend Extreme Outdoors for any concrete, paving, or landscaping project.

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant to work with Lawn Mob (I think they were called Extreme…read moreOutdoors at the time) but this is one of those stories with a good ending. Because I have had my share of not so great ones. I got a few quotes to build a garbage can pad on the side of the garage. We stored our cans there but it was a pain to lug it thru the grass and dirt, especially when it was wet outside. We looked into concrete and pavers. John came and gave us some great information with a very good explanation of what he was going to do. He wasn't the cheapest but he was also not the most expensive. But, he was professional and amicable. Not pushy at all. We spoke about what we wanted and drew up some lines in the grass. He gave us some options and then directed us to a catalog for us to pick our stones. With the pricing per sq ft. This was nice so we could decide what we really wanted. We weren't in a rush and went out of town but he came back with his crew in about a week and they were done in about 1.5 days. They probably could have squeezed it in 1 but started later because they were finishing up a job. By the way, in Carol Stream you don't need a permit for a pad like this made of pavers. They consider it a sidewalk and it was not large enough for a permit. Make sure you speak to an actual permit person because I was initially told it's a stoop but there are a lot of restrictions (like distance from boundary and outer doors) that didn't make sense. When I spoke to the permit guy he told me I didn't need one. That was a relief! I will post some photos soon, but I highly recommend Lawn Mob!~
