On this beautiful Saturday we decided to stop at Ginza for lunch. We got seated right away. near where the sushi counter was. I couldn't believe how many people make sushi along with other dishes. Our sweet server Gabby, gave us lunch menus. I had green tea served in a little pot with extra tea bags and sugar. We noticed that the menu had changed a bit. Gabby told us that they added a few things from the dinner menu. So we started ordering. Steamed chicken dumplings, chicken katsu. Shrimp tempura, marinated snapper. Hibachi shrimp etc. Also shrimp with vegetable rice, Shrimp tempura roll, dynamite roll and David's favorite " the Bubba. Gump Roll",We ended with sharing fried cheesecake and that was something so delicious! Gabby helped us with our selections and we really enjoyed our lunch. The only negative thing I can think of is the loud music mixed with a lot of people talking lol! The portions might have been a little smaller but this gave us an opportunity to try different things. Additionally my lunch today had Yellowtail (raw)., Dynamite roll, shrimp roll, chicken Katsu, red snapper Teriyaki, Shrimp-veggie fried rice, shrimp tempura- fried (YUMMY) cheesecake- WHAT a FEAST! Small portions but mostly seafood and full but not high carbs. Need to have lunch here with my Yelp friends. More taste options to share. We've been to this restaurant about four times. Two visits were fine, but the other two had enough issues that it's hard to ignore. On a previous visit, I found a piece of plastic in my sushi, which was concerning. During our most recent visit, service was very disorganized. Our server took our order, then came back about 15 minutes later to take it again because it was forgotten and incorrect. We also asked for yum yum sauce (our favorite), which didn't arrive until after our food, despite being requested with appetizers. The chicken fried rice and miso soup were both lukewarm and lacked flavor. When it came time to pay, our bill was $73. I paid $80 in cash. The server pointed to the gratuity percentages on the receipt and strongly implied that I should leave more. Given the service issues, I wasn't comfortable tipping 15-22% on an already expensive bill. After I reiterated that I was paying $80, the server walked away visibly upset. I don't mind tipping for good service, but pressuring customers -- especially after multiple mistakes -- leaves a bad impression. I hope management addresses consistency, food quality, and how gratuity is handled. read more

My experience at Ginza was absolutely amazing. The service and food were both to die for. I loved the Bubba Gump Roll and the US 41 Roll, but there are so many other rolls I'm dying to try. Unfortunately my stomach could only fit so much this visit. I already can't wait to come back again. The atmosphere was very cozy with beautiful Japanese décor that really added to the whole experience. Everything from the presentation to the service made the night feel special. What's for lunch today? After a morning spent installing new gear on the Sprinter van and then wandering around downtown Fort Myers, I was more than ready to refuel. Ginza felt like the right call, and once the idea landed, there was no talking myself out of it. There was a short queue at the hostess stand at 1 pm on a Saturday, but the bar had open seats and that was all the invitation I needed. I settled in at the bar where (I think his name was Bryce) took good care of me, walking me through how everything worked and making sure I never felt rushed or overlooked. It was the kind of attentive but easygoing service that makes the whole experience feel smooth. I stayed for nearly 90 minutes, starting with a wakame salad that set the tone, then moving on to a steady rhythm of nigiri rolls, nori rolls, and a few extra bites that caught my eye along the way. It's incredibly simple to keep ordering, so I paid attention to when I was actually full, making sure I didn't end up with more than I could handle. We had a BAD BAD BAD experience on Father's Day. The kitchen was VERY delayed and our server was new and very distracted. We waited an hour for water, the food took over an hour to begin arriving, and we asked for soy sauce when we sat down and finally had to ask another server for it after an hour of waiting. We sat down at 2:15pm, food didn't begin to arrive until 3:20pm and by 4:15pm we asked for a box to take our food because we had to be somewhere else by 5pm. We asked for a manager when the server didn't want to comp the box and instead he decided to argue with us. We come to Ginza several times per week. Excellent! All you can eat sushi, sashimi, salads, soups, etc...$32.95 per person. Plenty of parking. Well lit, nicely decorated, comfortable booth seating. Excellent service by our waiter, Narren. Attentive, knowledgable, professional, friendly, courteous and polite. All of the dishes well prepared, perfect temps, fresh and good pertions. Notes to self .... and to anyone who appreciates my advice: 1) As long as you're seated by 3:30 you can order off the lunch menu which is about $11 less than the dinner menu. (You don't have to be finished by 3:30) 2) Remember to bring a pad and pen. Our server was visibly happy when we handed him our clearly-written order. This minimizes error and makes it easier for the staff. 3) My favorite sashimi is white tuna, which in parenthesis says 'escolar.' I looked it up. Uh oh. The fish is banned in Italy and Japan and can lead to stomach problems. It hasn't happened to either of us, but proceed cautiously. Many restaurants pass escolar off as white tuna. Kudos to Ginza for being transparent. 4) In the first round of orders ask for a Snow White roll: shrimp tempura inside, snow "krab" on top, with eel sauce. Not my typical sushi -- but I like it. 5) Figure out the broth I enjoyed. I asked for chicken, but it was dark, definitely better than the miso I had before, which was tasteless. Clam is also good. 6) Order just what you'll eat. (There's no limit to the number of orders you can put through.) The menu was revised to say that excess waste will now be charged. We had a great sever, it's cheap and the food was fast so that's the only plus.. but I'm really confused how this place is still in business. The floor is DISGUSTING. I mean sticky, moldy, cracked. How do you have mold on your floor? Where else is is there mold? The bathrooms... holy crap. Really dirty. The paper towels were on the paper towel dispenser, the toilet paper was empty. Just gross overall. If this is what they are willing to show customers, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. The owners need to seriously revamp the place and start over. Tables are wayyy to close together, even the walls are dirty. The food actually wasn't bad, tuna and salmon was decent. But the place is just plain dirty. Ginza is a great value all you can eat sushi restaurant. Considering the more than generous fixed pricing, I expected the worst when it came to quality. But I was pleasantly surprised. It met or exceeded the quality of other sushi restaurants that are 2 or 3 times the price. The atmosphere was also very pleasing. Theres a very dry wide variety of menu items to choose from. We tried 4 of the rolls, several of the sashimi and sushi options, and the tempura. Everything was good with a couple exceptions... the shrimp tempura was a bit oily and the shrimp were tiny and imbedded in a rather thick layer of batter. The vegetable tempura was much lighter and tastier. The other exception was the desserts... the green tea ice cream lacked flavor and the fried cheesecake was too oily. But with a 95% hit rate on the food I would definitely return if ever in the area again. read more

Ahhhh endless sushi what's not to love!!!! From the many appetizers to the variety of sushi options.. I am just drooling just thinking about it. My cousins recommended this place to us and I have to admit the AYCE sushi is ridiculously amazing & so cheap! Only $30 or so per person. It was worth every penny.. Our server Henry was so great and fast! He was able to get everything in and quickly as possible while serving other tables.We also had one of the managers show us some cool magic tricks while we waited. The boss man Andy was very nice and was able to seat us right away. My favorite sashimi pieces were the yellowtail hamachi- for an AYCE experience this definitely is it, the fish was fresh and so good! If I could I would eat 50 pieces! The mango salmon was also a hit- I loved the sauce that came with it! We love the Kobe Roll as it is one of our fan favorites. You can also order hibachi options make sure you order fried rice- you'll get full quick though! They also have clear and miso soup. I enjoyed the katsu chicken appetizer & the gyoza. Both fresh and tasty. The dessert was so yummy and included in the buffet price, definitely get the fried cheesecake with green tea ice cream! That was so good and enough to share for 2 people! The hibachi food is lightly seared and drenched in the same garlicy sauce, very bland and you can just barely taste the garlic. The fried rice tastes like bland eggs. The sushi is ok, menus reads better than what is actually served. The tempura is a mix of a beer batter and corn flakes. I guess this place is great if you have hungry kids. Dumplings (I think we ate 4 or 5 orders for three us, and they were great! Sushi offering is huge as are the portions. Word to the wise, all crab stuffing is imitation "krab". Hibachi plates were over cooked and dry (our server said they are hit or miss). Tempura was good but portions are small (2 pc) had to keep reordering. Again, it's about quantity, not quality. We really enjoyed this restaurant and the style of restaurant it is. Pretty much you get your menu and you can order as much as you want or can tolerate to eat so if you have a big appetite, you can try everything on the menu if you can make it fit. We ordered a bunch of different things that came in small portions so that we could enjoy different things. I did not find anything that I did not like. I was very fond of the chicken Katsu and the tempura shrimp. The Service was great. Our server constantly came back to find out if we wanted to order more and the food came out very fast. The dessert were also very good. We really enjoyed the fried cheesecake. We liked the restaurant so much we came back a second time and brought friends which told us they enjoyed it very much as well. Food is not bad. We liked most of what we ordered, but honest, we are not sure what we got for some instances. Service was terrible. Wrong orders brought to our table, items missing from our table. We were brought items and were told it was one thing, only to find out they were wrong, which was extremely concerning given our party had people with food allergies. I asked the waiter 4 times for an item and he never brought it, and there were more things like that. I feel the concept is a good value, but it is really not worth the hassle with the service. I think we came in during a host shift change because that was pretty awkward, just two employees exchanging looks trying to figure out who should sit us. Our server was nice. We kept ordering 2 pieces of certain types of sushi and then he'd bring us 3 though, when we were trying to not be wasteful and only order what we could eat. The interior is very cool looking. Service was not good at all. It was a Monday night and not busy. Our server came to the table a total of 2 times and this is an all you can eat restaurant. She finally brought the bill then disappeared. A random lady came by grabbed the card and said she would run it. Came back left no pen to even sign and yelled to the waitress to bring a pen. She's yet to bring a pen because the bartender was making drinks and giving them to the workers. We walked to the to go counter to get a pen to sign our check. She never came back to the table. The table behind us was still waiting on food and it was 10 mins until closing. This is not acceptable for the prices they charge and it not being busy at all. The problem with the process is that your first couple orders come out fairly quickly but the service tends to slow down after. I get it... they want you to start to fill up.
