Amazing service super friendly and kind! Very clean with a great atmosphere. My beef pho was very good

This morning temperature was in low 30's. After more than 2 hours of workout nearby, I decided to have a pho - a bowl of hot noodle soup or a Panang Curry over rice. This is my first visit to Mahi Sushi - Thai Cuisine and Pho. As I walked in, I quickly recalled I was here many times under a Mexican restaurant. The ambiance is well spaced out with many tables and a small Sushi Bar. One look at their Sushi Bar, I decided to forego the Pho and Panang Curry. Yes, there was one roll I recalled that was very popular here, Magic Eels. I normally have a Saporo or Kirin or Heineken with this dish but because of the cold weather I opted for a hot tea! The Magic Eel roll has the BBQ eel (Unagi) as its topping. This is cross between salmon and chicken without any fishiness. The meat is soft and fluffy with some tempura flakes for crunch and cream cheese for silkiness. Avocado and cucumber add freshness with a drizzle of eel sauce! I was in Seven Heaven! While the restaurant is named Mahi Sushi, it is a full-service Japanese and Thai spot with Pho! OMG, my excellent experience with Magic Eel will draw me back to Mahi Sushi forever! read more

Came here for dinner and had a pleasant experience. We ordered a few appetizers for the table (dumplings, crab Rangoon and the spring rolls) and all were delicious. For the roles, we got a few, but the mango one was by far superior. The green curry was delicious, and not too hot. Service was friendly and quick. I am very happy that I found this gem today while in the plaza. I ordered the lunch special ...the PB and J roll and it was delicious. For 16$ you get a full special sushi roll (there's quite a selection) plus a soup or salad and a soft drink. The roll was large, delicious, and very fresh. Sushi is not the best but the curry is good. I usually get the Panang curry. Prices are fair.

Amazing little find after shopping at Publix. Great Thai flavors with other options for those of us less adventurous. My wife had green curry chicken and was blown away. I even tried it and was impressed. I am less of a food risk taker & went with the old faithful, chick fried rice. One of the best ever & I eat it a lot & all over the country. Visiting from out of town and wanted some good sushi and we got it here!! (Full transparency, we've usually been a Blu sushi goer, but this year we wanted to try another place after reading some not so good reviews of Blu) Mahi exceeded our expectations! We started with fried gyoza and crab rangoon. Both were great! The crab rangoon had turmeric which really made it unique and i absolutely loved it. The sushi was really fresh and delicous and we loved the creative rolls. We had sushi pieces of Hamachi, Escobar, and Salmon and all were delicious and fresh. Then we tried the Hawaii Roll (tasted like really good coconut fish) and Maui roll (fresh!!) and loved them both. The rolls are BIG so definitely worth the money! We came around 6 on a Thursday night and they were pretty busy! Service was a little slower but we didn't mind at all since we were in no hurry and the staff was so friendly:) It is a smaller restaurant, with casual decor, so plan ahead if you want a specific time to eat. Most tables were for 2-4 people, but there was a 6 person group in there as well. We will definitely tell our family of this new amazing place and keep coming back every time we visit!! read more

Nice quaint place with a nice calm atmosphere, staff are friendly. Our food came out decently quick, spring rolls were tasty, my Tom kha came in a big bowl and there was a lot of rich broth, which I love, the flavor wasn't extremely strong, so could improve on that, but it was tasty. Our Thai iced tea's were delicious, rich, tall, and I even got seconds. The lobster roll was HUGE, biggest sushi roll I've ever seen, and while overall tasty with a generous portion of krab salad, there was barely any actual lobster in there, there was one thing strip of lobster that ran through out and that was it. read more

First time at Mahi and they did not disappoint. I love Thai food. The Tom Kha soup was delicious. The Penang Shrimp was also very well done. I was pleasantly surprised by the brown nutty rice with mango. Very friendly hostess and Sushi Chef as well. Next visit I'll need to try the sushi!!! read more

Stopped in for a late bite and was very welcomed by staff. I hate going anywhere an hour before closing but needed a sushi fix and been dying to check this place out. The tuna tataki came recommended and didn't disappoint! I got to try their pork pad see ew as well. I haven't been able to find decent pad see ew since I left Thai town. The pork was a bit tough, might try beef next time but noodles and sauce were on point! I can't wait for my leftovers tomorrow! Only negative thing to say is the dumb idiot who came in there that was a guest. Definitely not the staff's fault at all and they handled it very well but that guy definitely sucked! Tried Mahi Sushi tonight after seeing only good reviews. We tried the tuna tataki, magic eel, and butterfly rolls. My son had a California roll. I liked the butterfly roll the best. The magic eel was ordered because of reviews. Unfortunately, ours had a hair across the top of the roll, so that did make me lose my appetite. Our server was very friendly. We've been on a hunt for good sushi in the area since we moved here from NYC about a year ago and let me tell you, this place hit the spot 110%!!! The special rolls we ordered were amazing! Everything was super fresh, full of flavor and had great presentation. Order the Hawaiian roll if you love coconut shrimp- you won't regret it.
