It's a pretty nice place decor is really nice and very welcoming to small or family size groups. You can make a reservation in case you're coming with a larger party. Seems the place does get busy at certain points not in a place you would expect to find it so you may have missed it if you just passed by. We came with some friends that invited us that have been here quite a few times we enjoyed the food and the sushi that we ordered. I had the fried crab Rangoon. Looking for a local high quality family owned dining experience, check out Rock'n Sushi restaurant in the Gateway area. Had a great meal with excellent service (thanks, Sam!). We had the Pad Kee Mao and Teriyaki Salmon with fried rice. You can tell they really take pride in the quality of their ingredients. Everything was beautifully presented and loaded with flavor. Absolutely not a fake review. Please read. I am a local who's been going to Rockin' Sushi for over a year and a half weekly. At minimum $200 a week spent. A long time ago they messed up an order of mine. I requested a refund and they refused. Me and my girlfriend left negative reviews. The owner personally replied with a book of negativity blaming us publicly on Yelp. He then reviewed my girlfriend's work place falsely (Fine Folk Pizza) then he contacted her boss personally. We drew the line there. Told him what his place was and that he should stay in it from now on before it escalates into a legal battle. He apologized, and sent his wife into fine folk pizza to give us $100 in gift cards. He couldn't stop there though. It was apparently personal to him. 6 months later I receive burnt sushi all faced downwards so I wouldn't know they're burnt until I got home. I immediately called the morning after as it was closing time, I told them to refund the card the purchase was on. They refused and said I "HAD TO COME PICK UP THE MONEY" rudely. I found this odd but I went. When I got there I was greeted very rudely yet again... and told here's $39.70 entirely in pennies in crown royal bags. He actually made a random staff member do this to me. I was also told I will no longer be served. I asked why, and was told "because you always have a problem." I left yet again a negative review as for the first one I actually deleted it upon his apology. His reply was as said below "come back and let's try again blah blah" well I did. Immediately. Not to try again but to get my money back the right way. When I got there the staff tried to get me to wait over 15mn at the front desk. My girlfriend called while I was inside and asked what's taking so long... I was already greeted. That's when the chef who was on the line tells my girlfriend they're attempting to secretly call the police to have me trespassed as a last laugh. Now he's changed one of his 2 replies (Yelp but not Google Maps) to "this person is banned for trying to commit fraud" if anything I did was fraud I'd love to see him in court for the legitimate fraud, harassment, and entrapment this man has committed. Do not support this joke. I left pictures of the bags, food, and his Google Maps reply below to show how full of BS this guy is. If he put this effort into his business he'd make money. I find it odd that he apologized so deeply the first time and even admitted the business wasn't doing well, just to try this with me and stress about the reviews later on down the road. The only thing consistent about this place is their bad attitude. I don't mean to drag my comment but this man has a spoiled mentality that's never been silenced. Some people like myself stick up for themselves and make sure those who have it coming receive the consequences to their actions. Thank you for your time if you read this entirely. read more

This is an amazing place to get your sushi fix. I had the pad thai the last time there, it was more than enough to eat. The crab rangoon was delicious as well. The service was impeccable. I discovered RocknSushi when I was driving around the area and thought I would stop by and try it out. I was greeted by friendly staff upon entering and then was seated. I liked their decor. My waiter was kind and helpful. I ordered their: House Soup, Hurricane Spring Rolls (which came with a side of Eel Sauce), and their Japanese Bagel Roll. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice sushi restaurant! I definitely plan to return to try more off of their menu! Overall, good experience! read more

Excellent sushi option in the Gateway area. We were so thankful we were able to be seated as we did get here about 30 mins before closing time. We did not feel rushed and we were able to try a few of their sushi options. All the food tasted fresh and prepared right in front of us while seated at the bar. We stopped here spontaneously when we were looking for a spot in gateway and we're so happy we did! We are huge sushi lovers so when we saw their large sushi options we were stoked. The Lion King roll was our absolute favorite, would definitely order it again 10/10. The Rock n' Roll was also delish, it just needed a little less cucumber. We had an order of the miso soup as well, delicious. Service was great and the location as well, there were a bunch of gnats inside by the windows flying around, but it's Florida. This is a hidden gem. It was a little out of the way for us, heading back to Sebring from Fort Myers, but it was worth it. The sushi was outstanding. The Hawaiian chicken dish was as well. Sushi: tried the crunch roll, the spicy mango roll, the spicy tuna roll, the volcano, and the lava drops. Sushi was mediocre at best and pretty expensive for what you get. Entrees: panang curry was probably the highlight of the meal. Tom yum soup tasted watered down compared to other's I'd had at restaurants. Did not try the pad thai, maybe it would be good as entrees seemed to be much better than sushi and apps. Ambiance: nice, modern decor with clean restrooms. Service: a little slow for how busy they were at the moment. Friendly and nice but food took a while to come out. Final rating: I wouldn't return. Me and my boyfriend have been going to Rockin Sushi for a couple months now and it's the best quality of sushi you can find in the area. I have personally lived in Fort Myers FL all my life, so as a local I've tried relatively everything lol. These guys def take the cake! If you ever find yourself there I'd ask for Brittney she is always incredibly respectful and you can see she has a passion to be there. We enjoyed our visit to RocknSushi. We ordered several different rolls as well as some sushi and sashimi. We especially loved the sushi and sashimi and we felt that the salmon was particularly delicious. It was buttery and the proportions of fish to rice was perfect. I would say that for the rolls too, sometimes you see rolls with a very thick ring of rice around a small center and that was absolutely not the case at RockNSushi. We were very satisfied with our sushi which came out on a boat by the way which we got a kick out of. Today, it felt appropriate to leave a 4 star rating because some of the service we experienced was slow. It took some time for us to get someone to take our dinner order. However, we spoke to the manager afterwards (just in general) and heard that rocknSushi is new and still working on fully staffing their waitstaff. I am sure service will improve. read more

We went in monday night at 9:33 under the understanding they closed at 10:00pm. When we walked in we asked politely if we could sit and the hostess was very dismissive, she went away and we just heard her say from afar "you go talk to them" to another person instead of being forward and telling us "no". The only person who was nice enough was one of the cooks who said their "last call" was at 9:30. 3 minutes before we went in, and their OPEN sign was still on. We placed a rather large order for delivery. It did not take long for the food to arrive but it was not correct. We were missing a Miso soup and 2 cokes. It was on the receipt but not in the bags. As well the sauces had spilled all in the bags making it a very messy situation unpacking it all. We called the restaurant in regard to our missing items and instead of apologizing and trying to correct the situation the male answering the phone blamed the Uber Eats driver and said we should call them to complain because apparently the driver took our items. We tried to explain that the items were in the receipt but not in the bag but again he would only say contact Uber Eats. The food was okay but nothing special especially since all the sauce was left in the bag and not in the containers. So sad as we live in Gateway and hoped that this could be our go to restaurant for Thai and Sushi but we won't order from here again. read more
