Place is really really get run down! Everything seems to be just a little dirty and sticky. The bathrooms are especially bad. No paper towels at all and faucet was broken. Granddaughters' 11th birthday and she wants sushi! Kind of impromptu surprise birthday dinner on a Sunday night. 25-30 adults and kids. The kitchen was hopping! They took care of all of us, plus the take-out orders, other customers and delivery pick ups! I went based on the Yelp reviews, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations! The staff was very friendly and even offered a military discount which we weren't expecting. Service was very quick, we waited maybe 5 minutes for our food. My husband ordered a Donburi Rice Bowl with steak, and I ordered an Udon Bowl with steak. Both were delicious with very generous "starch" portions, but the protein portion seemed a bit small which was disappointing since I wanted to enjoy more of it. We're eagerly planning to go back. We were they're first customers they said. Well it didn't look like it. It was nasty, tables weren't wiped off, food on the floor etc. I went to the bathroom because I just couldn't hold it anymore. It was omg disgusting. No toilet paper, lock was broken, floor was wet stuff on the walls. It was just ugh! (Thanks goodness I'm a mom and I keep cleaning stuff in my purse) The waitress was slow, didn't refill our drinks, and never got our orders right but we did make her clean our area!  So I read the menu and I ordered the sumo roll. On the menu it had no cucumbers mentioned on it. I got it and looked really good but it had cucumbers on it. I said ma'am it has the is wrong could you please fix it. She took it and spoke to the manager/sushi maker. He came to me and said this roll has cucumber on it I have been making it for many years. I said that doesn't say that on the menu. We fought over this stinking roll for about 10 mins. Im like really? He never fixed it, never gave our money back NOTHING!!!! He constantly talked over me while I was talking. Im like FINE! Another issue my son (kids plate) didn't want carrots in his shrimp hibachi. Well she didn't listen and put them on there. Didn't fix it she basically ignored us. I told my son just take them.off. On my hibachi plate I wanted only onions and zucchini. Well again she didn't listen she didn't give me any vegetables. So I said ok since we're having issues ill take a side order of veggies since you didn't give me any! I even asked her will that cost extra she said no. Well quess what it was on the ticket and we had to pay for it. The manager was rude, spoke loudly, didn't help in any way. Today was a special day and we use to absolutely loved this restaurant our family and friends go there a great deal. But not anymore!  Hell will freeze over before I go there again. Also this isn't the first time but I've had enough so this is why I'm writing. I've had enough of the rudeness, nastiness & wrong orders from them. But the whole thing is that the people knew us were good people we don't complain. I've been a waitress and I know its hard work but we were the only people there almost half the time we were there. So no excuses. I don't know what has happened  it it has changed some how. I hope that it will get to the way it was cause it was some really good food with the best sushi in town! read more

Another great dinner last night at Ginza !!! We absolutely love how fresh everything is. The steak is tender. The miso soup is phenomenal with ample amounts of tofu. All the I have had is absolutely incredible. It is definitely our new go to in Sumter. Now they offer delivery and with a code (on their page) you can get 15% off. Sumter is grateful to have such an incredible Japanese Grill in a great location. Also, Kinsley is incredibly sweet !!! Top notch service !!! We love GINZA !!! Food and service is really good. Best to visit during lunch time, as they have great lunch deals. The bundles specials (2 entrees + roll, or three rolls ) is awesome as well. The only complaint I have is that some of the tables are imbalanced or sticky. Possibly investing in clear tablecloths could help the sticky substance getting stuck to the actual table.
